King of Hearts Eldercare

Our mom spent 14 days at King of Hearts while she was under hospice care. The owner Jon and his aid Peter were kind, caring, loving and professional as my mom’s life ended and they worked closely with hospice to keep her as comfortable as possible. The house itself is peaceful, calm, welcoming and beautiful. I am very happy we found King of Hearts and would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of elder care in an intimate setting.

I can’t say enough good things about Jon and all the staff at King of Hearts Eldercare. My dad was well taken care of and treated like family during his 4 year stay at King of Hearts. His needs were always met from activities of daily living to ensuring that he received the appropriate medical care. Jon also did a great job of communicating with my family and I. I would highly recommend King of Hearts Eldercare.

After a bad experience at a larger assisted living facility, King of Hearts with an 6 person limit offered exceptional and caring assistance to my husband, with late stage Parkinson’s Disease,during the last 9 months of his life. They became like family and I will be eternally grateful for their thoughtfulness during a stressful time.

I was the sole caretaker of my 92-year-old uncle until his needs required 24-hour care. I was provided a long list of group homes to evaluate in selecting a home to best suit him. Previously, I assessed many group homes and care facilities while conducting Court-related conservator investigations and I feel this experience gave me good insight. Jon, the owner, answered all of my tough questions and is also a nurse, which is a bonus. The facility is a “real” home, not an institution. It is clean without all of the disinfectant smell you commonly come across in facilities. The residents appeared well-cared for. All six beds are considered “hospice” beds which means your loves ones can spend their final days there. I was so impressed that this was the only home I visited before making my decision.

There is very low turnover of the amazing staff. If I could give Mo, Angie and Peter a million stars, I would. They were very professional, skilled, attentive, compassionate and treated my uncle as family during his stay of nearly three years. They were excellent in keeping me updated and I never had to worry about the care he received. Jon, Mo, Angie and Peter also made sure his final days were comfortable, which my family will forever be grateful. He loved them and knew he was loved. My uncle was very fortunate to spend his final years in such a wonderful loving home.

My mom’s husband moved into King of Hearts when he could no longer live with her at home. I cannot say enough about how lucky we were that he went there. The people were all extremely caring and they worked so very hard to make him and us welcome and comfortable. I could not think of a better place for him to have spent the difficult last months of his life.

King of Hearts is a perfect blend of home and care giving. My mom was one of the first to move in and she was well taken care of and treated as family by the staff and other residents. Mom considered it home. We, her family, enjoyed visiting her there and were impressed by the care and attention she received. The staff goes above and beyond everyday. We highly recommend King of Hearts.

We were very impressed with the staff and owner that took excellent care of my father. They show compassion and truly cared for his well being. They made sure his last years were comfortable. What a fantastic place to spend your elderly years! All the staff took great care of my mom and she felt very at home there....no "institutional" or "nursing home" atmosphere at all. The care is very personal and specialized to each resident. They met her every need and I would highly recommend them.

Not only is my mom cared for lovingly and attentively, I observe each resident getting the same personalized care. This feels so good to be able to trust those caring for my mom. It feels like we're all family. I really love going to visit!

I called and spoke to John, and asked about their facility. He went over prices with me, and was understanding about our financial situation. He gave me the number for a placement agency that could help me find a home for my Dad. I truly appreciate his help!

Wonderful care and very caring staff in spite of my family member being extremely difficult. Very nice facility, good food, I would highly recommend this home to anyone including myself!
