Indian Rock Tree Farm

First time we have gone to a tree farm and it was alot of fun! My sister gave me a parking pass for Thanksgiving weekend, we were able to park easily played around and explored before finding our perfect tree and yelling "Cutter!" Like a game of Marco polo til the staff could find us haha. Kevin was our tree cutter, he was so nice. He explained how our tree was the 4th tree that particular stump has grown and how amazing time after time it regrow and produces beautiful trees everytime. He told us how the farm does this method to be more sustainable as other farms may dig out stumps and regrow. He also helped us out by taking a picture of us. My 3 yr daughter cheered when Kevin cut the tree down, super cute.

It was buuusy when we came but they had a lot of staff directing cars and all were very friendly. It was fun to go pick out a tree. Most people stood around shouting "cutter" but we had faster service by going to find someone. He was very friendly too. We carried our own tree down. On our way out we checked out the pretty cascade at the stream and happened to meet a man who let my son toss in a few fish pellets to feed the fish, which was fun - they were huuuge trout! You can go fly fishing there with reservations. On our way out the team of staff at the front all waved goodbye. We picked out one of the expensive tree types (oops) so I'm sure it would be cheaper to hit a mass hardware store, but the experience was the best for our family. The tree is gorgeous and uber fresh.

Amazing area, great staff that was extremely helpful. Food and a fire pit to warm up. You get the experience of picking out your own tree. They will come and cut it down and carry it down the mountain for you. The price wasn’t that much more that the pre cut lots in the city but the experience is well worth it.

Traditions are cherished by many. This is one of ours. The variety, quality and quantity is extraordinary. Come see for yourself. Definetly worth the drive.

I’ve been coming here since I wrote letters to Santa. The owner and family are all wonderful and kind people. I have many great memories running up and down the hills looking for the perfect tree with my family and getting cider and hanging out by the fire while my dad loaded the tree up on the car.
