The Video Game Cavern

I’ve been coming here since I was 11-12, and ever since the ownership changed, I’ve noticed a lot of good changes going on with the store. It’s more walkable, the layout is better, it just feels more modern overall. It’s been incredibly pleasant to see occur in real time, and I hope it keeps progressing as it has.

Daniel was so informative and helpful! This shop is very well organized and clean shop. I will be back to the Video Game Cavern and excited about my new purchase.

Video Game Cavern offers a wide variety of games from your old school Nintendo 64 to games that are trending today. They pretty much have any console you can think of.

Nostalgia is heavily planted within their displays. I found games that I had forgotten from my childhood. I found the game I was looking for and walked out with a list for next time.

Overall I would recommend this unique shop to anyone looking for a different experience outside of Game Stop - especially if you are looking for games older than 3 years old.

Haven't been in quite a number of years, stopped by the other day and WOW! I love the music they have playing, it was very nostalgic for me. Always have fair prices, and the young guy (didn't catch his name) was so so very kind. Helped me and my husband with some switch games.

A phenomenal retro game store in the upstate SC area! Their inventory in insane, and they even have their selection of games available to purchase from the site. This is one I first heard of a few years ago when I attended SouthEast Game Exchange, and the place has only gotten better over the past few months!

One of the best places in town to purchase video games, and video consoles from. They are very knowledgeable, and give you a very reasonable price for any trade-in. When you call to ask any question, they are very friendly and eager to answer them all. I used to go to GameStop, but their prices are way too high, and they never answer the phone when you call, especially the one on Wade Hampton boulevard in Taylors.

I went in today looking for switch games found a lot of what I was looking for and (my receipt says Dan) was so extremely nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me. Thank you for a great experience!

VCG is a one-stop shop for fans of video games from any era. The staff is very friendly and are always happy to help. They have everything from obscure items & indie titles to well-known current releases and preorders. Great establishment and great vibes all around. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

(The Video Game Cavern)(Taylor)South Carolina very clean ,highly respectable, the staff were very professional with a large prithla of retro video game stock. Even lava hot PS5 titles lots of accessories for the common retro consoles and newer console era:) not to mention the sealed video games. My experience with Video Game Cavern is 10 Stars I love South Carolina and one day I'll be back in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger:) I recommend Video Game Cavern to the world:)

I've been a patron at Video Game Cavern since I first moved to South Carolina back in 2016. They are without a doubt the best retro game store in the area. It is a small store that gets very crowded at times.

They have a huge selection and variety. Their inventory is finally coming back to what it was before the pandemic. They have had a lot of hidden gems and hard to find games over the years. Every now and again you'll get a dud but keep the receipt and they will let you return used games with a 30 day defect guarantee. I love this store and I'll keep going for the years to come.

This has become my son's and my new favorite place to go for video game purchases and trade-in! They have almost everything one needs for older (Original Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation, Xbox, etc...) and newer game consoles! Love this place! I recommend everyone to stop in here to just see what they have. I'm almost willing to bet you won't be able to walk out without buying something!

Brought in a big trade and received awesome service as processing the trade was fast, received a good value and were up front with what games they could not take. Couldn’t recommend more.
