Sweet Life of a Baker

Our sandwiches were very delicious. My husband had a slice of Ding Dong cake for dessert that was amazing. I had the Peanut Butter white chocolate brownie, so good!

I don’t have enough great things to say about Andrea and Sweet Life of a Baker. All cakes and cupcakes were made by her and her team and not only were they absolutely gorgeous, but also delicious. She was accommodating and hooked us up with a last minute cake when we were short one. We ordered the smash cake and cupcakes for my daughters 1st birthday and she absolutely outdid herself. I had a vision and she ran with it. She is the sweetest and we fully intend on going to her with all our bakery needs!

1 year later: Sweet Life of a Baker is a small town bakery with a big heart and some of the best treats your taste buds and tummy could ask for. We live farther away than we would like but since last year we pledged to make a yearly visit to dine on a wonderful breakfast menu and bring home some dessert for later, and here we are. We also pick up some pre-packaged items they sell to give to others!

Everything here is made with heart and impeccable skill. It's probably the freshest food and baked goods in a 3000 mile radius :P. If you ask me what I recommend... Literally everything, just pick what speaks to your taste buds and you'll enjoy a trip to flavor heaven. We got the Bananas Foster, breakfast sandwich, brunch bread to dine on. Incredible! We brought home a half moon, cookie sandwich and rainbow cookie. Let's just say they were meant for after dinner... They never made it to dinner. Perfection!

The place is so delightful and quaint, many people come in just to pick up some treats or pre orders. Some, like us, do find room in the small dining area to sit and take in the kind and quick service. It's also impressive the teams coordination because they are small and there seems to be a steady flow of customers.

Original review: WOW!!! Happy Anniversary to Sweet Life of a Baker and Happy taste buds and tummy to me!! I don't think I can begin to describe the perfection of everything we experienced here.The box of goodies was a treasure in and of itself, and my wife and I also got the Belgian waffle, chocolate chip sugar glazed bread and the brunch bread. If you love sweet, the chocolate chip bread will sing to you, do you like a better balance the Belgian waffle will scratch your itch, or do you prefer a bit more savory, the brunch bread will take you to paradise.

Everything was beyond wonderful, I'm not just talking just about the food either, the neighborhood, the decor, the ambience and the staff were amazing. The owner and staff were so kind and sociable that even though it was our first time we felt like family.

We may live a bit far away, but rumor has it they do special events, orders, deliveries and we've already decided we are making this at minimum an annual trip.

I can't recommend Sweet Life of a Baker Enough and hope everyone takes the time to go!! Enjoy!!

Andrea recently made a gender reveal cake that surpassed my expectations! It was beautifully decorated and tasted great! You can definitely tell how much pride she takes in her work and how much love she puts into her bakes. I also got my bridal shower cake from her two years ago- lemon ricotta cake... I still dream about it!! Highly recommend Sweet Life of a Baker!!

This is my first time in the area and this was such a great find! Lunch was delicious, the staff was friendly and I enjoyed sitting on the small patio. My only regret was not trying the pastries, they look amazing!

Happy to be in the neighborhood of this fine bakery and eatery! Purchased a slice of carrot cake and a chocolate cake. The were delicious! I support local small businesses and this one is a real gem!

Delicious housemade desserts and bakery items. Always wanted to try Panna Cotta and this was amazing. Friendly staff, beautiful setting, indoor/outdoor seating, nothing has ever disappointed! Great local spot! Highly recommend!

The scent of sweet pastries permeate the air as you enter this cute bakery. Delicious sandwiches and salads, we had the turkey wrap and ham baguette, absolutely delightful. Would 100% come here again.

Small, super cute, delicious place! I stopped here in between office appointments to grab a quick sandwich. I ordered the blt with the wrap (trying to be less carbs) but since they were out, the world was telling me a different thing, and I had it on their homemade brioche bun. Oh my delish! The bread was great, turkey and cheese and bacon were all amazing! I will definitely stop here again.

By far one of the greatest family eating establishments I have ever visited. I can honestly say after trying most of the breakfast and lunch menus, it's hard to pick a favorite item or dish.

Stopped in for a little treat this morning and I couldn't be more pleased. I spotted a delicious looking blueberry muffin on the counter I had to have. Not only was it loaded with blueberries it was still warm.
Such a cute place I cannot wait to go back to try more!

Staying at the Mansion down the road, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast there. The star of the breakfast was this stunningly delicious muffin. I am so used to nondescript dry, tasteless muffins served. This was stellar, so I asked about it and was told about Sweet Life of a Baker. On our way out of town, we dropped by and picked up lunch and some more of the muffins. Everything was so delicious - from the veggie wrap and the Owen - to the muffins. One for the road and even one for the next morning. The owner, Andrea, came out to meet us. What a treat. The shop is beautiful. We’ll be back on our next road trip through the area.

We visited Sweet Life for the first time this morning. What a great breakfast! Service was super quick. We had the breakfast sandwiches on english muffins with champagne mustard. So good! They accommodated my weirdness of wanting half decaf and half full caffeine coffee. The atmosphere was perfect. Decorations were well done. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend!!!

I only recently heard of this little gem in Sherrill. Andrea has twice now gone out of her way (on short notice) to make sure I had an amazing lunch and dessert to offer at visitor luncheons and working meetings. The Sandwiches were AMAZING and the Chocolate Chip Cookies are not only huge but the best I've had.

We had lunch at Sweet Life of a Baker today. The outside patio has a cozy setting. Pretty plants all around. We went inside and the smell of the organic coffee was absolutely heavenly. Our lunches were very plentiful and delicious. I also had the potato leek soup and it was delicious. Service was great and everyone so friendly. We took half of our wraps home and bought some delicious baked good to bring home. We will definitely be back. . Love everything about this gem that was recommended to us by our friends.

We went for lunch. The sandwiches were quite good. They were special in that they were not special. Bread, meat, cheese, and veg. No problem from my picky eater, but still great. Fresh bread, tender tasty meat and cheese, crispy veg.
Too full to get all the good stuff after that so now I am eating cheesecake instead of dinner. I was just going to have a bite then find something I should eat. I’m eating cheesecake.

You can always tell when an owner loves what they do, as it shows in the food and service. Everything on the menu is delicious and you can’t leave until you grab a tasty dessert.

We hadn't been into the shop in a little while since we've been so busy but we had some time to kill this morning waiting for the Post Office to open. The store was just as welcoming and cozy as always. I was excited to try the Aged Cheddar and Ham Brunch Roll that Andrea came out with a few weeks back. Since we had time to kill, I had it warmed up and decided to dine in rather than get it to go. It surpassed expectations and the bar was set pretty high after all the other items I've had from Sweet Life. The cheddar and ham filling was present in every bite without being overloaded. The star was the dough though; the perfect balance of stretch, chew, and pillowy. It was filling but didn't sit heavy. This might actually be my new favorite item from the savory baked goods and I look forward to other variations of this delicious offering.

I would give Andrea 10 stars if I could just based off of this cheesecake I’m currently eating (yes I couldn’t wait to write this review because I’m so excited). I am super picky when it comes to food. Cheescake is my all time FAVORITE dessert and whenever I am out and it’s on the menu, I order it. My boyfriend got me one from Sweet Life for my birthday. First off, it’s perfect consistency; not too fluffy and not too firm. The decoration on top (buttercream maybe?) starts out firm and melts in your mouth like silk. Out of all the cheesecake I’ve had in my life this was by far number one. 10 stars. Their lunch food is also great! 💕✨

Stopped today for lunch with a friend. We shared the chicken salad croissant and the bistro salad, which were both so delicious!! We had a panna cotta and a brownie for dessert; also very delicious! Not too sweet but an amazing depth of flavor. Yummy!! The shop is sweet and pretty and very inviting. We ate outside; lovely lunch. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
