Best Shrimp and Grits around. Add the jalapeños. You won’t be disappointed. Coffee is roasted in house and absolutely delicious as well. I’ve had Emily as my server both times I’ve been there and she is absolute doll! Very sweet and attentive. ☺

A very cute breakfast/coffee shop. It was very busy but we still didn't have to wait long. I was impressed by the flavored coffee- they had white chocolate raspberry as an option today and it actually tastes like it (to me most flavored coffees just smell like the "flavor" but taste like regular coffee). We tried the Cajun Omelette and the French toast and both were amazing. Everything tasted great and is cooked perfectly. Couldn't think of anything negative to say -except maybe go at a less busy time if you can, because it can get a little crowded/noisy.

This is our favorite Brunch spot in the NW Cape area. They have a very good menu in that offers something for all tastes. Their specials menu is great and changes regularly. Today I had Boston Cream Pie pancakes and they were absolutely fantastic. My fiancee had the Jack and Sausage skillet which was also very good. The sausage was of high quality and very tasty. The potatoes were perfectly cooked to a slight crispy, golden brown. We opted for sour dough toast and upgraded to have gravy. The gravy was very good and made the skillet even more delicious. The service is always wonderful here! Their coffee is some of the best in town as they roast their own; this is served via a self-serve coffee bar. We really enjoyed the Nutty Monkey especially with the Boston Creme pancakes! If you are visiting or vacationing, this is a must do brunch spot!

My mom, my 2 kids (ages 3.5 and 7.5) and I went there for lunch for the first time last week. My younger son liked the grilled cheese and fries, older son liked the burger (it was big!) and fries. My turkey club was good, and my mom’s philly was tasty. The Mac and cheese was just kraft cheese with other cheese sprinkled on it - not really worth the $ but my 3.5 year old doesn’t turn down anything cheesy. Fresh fruit was a nice touch. Nice little place to enjoy coming from Ohio.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is just vibrant, you walk into a smell of coffee which is perfect. We had the White Iced Mocha coffee (left me wanting more), the Skillet was delicious, and blueberry pancakes which was perfect amount of blueberries and flavor. Oh my cant wait to go back.

The Sunday morning my party of three went in for breakfast the place was packed…good sign. We waited about 5-10 minutes for a table to open up. Worth noting, there is no hostess so it’s seat yourself. First timers like us could end standing around wondering when we will be seated but we caught on to the system pretty quick. We’re a smart bunch 😉

Nice little restaurant on the inside with nice decor.

You can buy coffee beans to make at home and there is a self serve coffee bar in the back corner. Coffee I had was delicious.
Get your money’s worth and have 2-3 cups cause the self serve coffee is $3.

Service was excellent. We only waited a minute or two after seating ourselves. For as crazy as it was inside the staff handled it well. Obviously not their first rodeo.

Food portions, presentation and prices are great. Nice selection of breakfast foods to choose from. Next visit will be to try the lunch menu and some other varieties from the coffee bar ☕

Food was excellent. All three of us had zero complaints with our meals. French toast was amazing. Hats off to the cooks as well. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were cooked to perfection.
My friend had the shrimp and grits and he said it was delicious.

I guess what impressed me the most was just how well the staff worked together. I’ve seen plenty of breakfast restaurants that are utter chaos but here they all just moved about with purpose. Well done. I know it’s not easy as I worked at a restaurant for 10 years back in my younger days.

Last thing. Bonus points for having Scrapple on the menu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You ask for Scrapple at most places they look at you like your talking a different language. Not here 😀

4.8 stars. Nice atmosphere, super busy place. We waited about 45 minutes to get in. The eggs benedict w/lump crab was delicious and the home fries were really good!

Perfect Cup has been a staple in my (JH) family for years. When our now-teenage son was born, it was his first trip out. And whether it’s your first visit or your thousandth, it’s always the same.

This time, as usual, I started with a coffee. Perfect Cup got its start born out of a number of coffee shops in Cape Coral called Origins. They roast their coffee in-house and have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I’ve tried dozens and they’re all great. This time I tried a couple different flavors from their coffee bar and all were fantastic. Coffee bar is $3 and includes free refills…they even have to-go cups for one last Joe on the go. They also sell their coffee whole bean or ground to make at home. The Scottish Grog has always been a favorite of mine.

I ordered the Greek omelette with breakfast potatoes and sourdough toast. There’s not much to go into with the meal itself because it was all…perfect. The omelette has fantastic balance of gyro meet to feta to tzatziki to tomato to egg ratio and was cooked to perfection.

It was the same story with the potatoes. Though I prefer my potatoes a little crispier as a general rule, the blend of sliced potatoes and onions was glorious. Throw in toasted sourdough bread and I’m sold.

I’ve probably had a hundred meals at Perfect Cup over the years and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

This was my (JD) first time and it definitely will not be my last. I’m a breakfast for breakfast guy, so I went with a lunch option. I started with a bowl of the seafood chowder. It’s the best in the area, hands down. The flavors, consistency, and bits of seafood were perfect. I would definitely suggest treating yourself to a cup of this amazing chowder.

I then had the patty melt with their breakfast potatoes. The patty melt was fantastic. The beef was good, the onions were delicious, the rye was great, and the melt was greasy, exactly as a melt should be. My only critique is that I thought it needed a sauce. But I love sauce. Regardless, it was so tasty and I would happily eat it again.

I think Josh summed up the potatoes perfectly. I usually like them crispy, but those onions...they are hard to beat.

This is a great little place. It’s one of the few places still standing and relatively untouched by hurricane Ian. They deserve your business and you owe it to yourself to give them a try. They will appreciate your support and you will appreciate their amazing food. I look forward to my next trip there.

Okay this place was definitely a hidden gem. Besides having the best coffee I have had on the entire island or the entire month they roast their own beans ...I mean c'mon... only a handful of restaurants or coffee joints can't even dream of roasting their own coffee beans I mean that's like one in a million. You have to be a connoisseur and really know what the hell you're doing when you're roasting beans from all over the world. I have to give them the utmost respect for giving away their coffee right after hurricane which brought me back immediately and into their restaurant to look and see how in the world they made such amazing coffee. They have the most friendliest people on the planet and their menu is astounding and rivals any breakfast menu I have ever seen it actually kicks any breakfast menus butt..with the local food and seafood it's amazing!! .. I have had grits from the area but the cook does such an amazing job with their shrimp grits it's just out of this world, the more I dug into the grits the more ingredients and more amazed I was with what was put into this artwork. The paintings from artists that come from other states is beautiful and makes a place just look amazing. I really respect and appreciate the owners the wait staff the cooks the people who helped put this place back together which I believe it was the staff itself which really helped put everything back together they deserved the utmost respect and all the honors for all the hard work I put into bringing this restaurant back to life so the locals could enjoy this amazing food!! If you are anywhere near this place you must definitely try the coffee and enjoy the best breakfast I have had in such a long time I would drive a thousand miles to eat here again.

Amazing food, coffee was 3 choices of caffeine, and all were delicious. First day for our waitress and she was awesome. What a great place a must visit. Been here many times since, the same waitress from last year, it is nice to see loyalty. The food is always great.

This was our first time eating here and it was so good. The French toast was tasty, eggs cooked perfectly, my mom and I both loved our home fries. I love a good chai tea and they nailed it, going to try their frozen one next. Server was very attentive! Will definitely be back!!

This is THE FIRST business to reopen in Matlacha after Ian. They're so nice and welcoming. Love it! Very busy but for good reason! Only took about 8 minutes to be served despite the absolute necessary attraction.

This place is amazing!!
I had a Western omelet. Ihad it topped with hollandaise sauce. All of their omelets are made with 4 eggs! This baby was huge! It was delicious! The potatoes were marvelous! The coffee was top notch. My waitress was sweet and attentive! I believe her name was Rae. I highly recommend this place!! I will go again and again!!

Best place for breakfast I have had in a while. Generous portions of great food. Their breakfast potatoes were absolutely fantastic. This place has a coffee bar that looked interesting, but we are not coffee drinkers. We were there for a late Sunday breakfast and the place was packed, a great testimony to the food! Staff was friendly despite the volume of people they were trying to serve. Highly recommend

New owners same great food!
The perfect cups new owners have kept its sense of nostalgia as an old-time diner while updating the cleanliness and food within. Still has the old spirit of a nice place to get a cup of coffee on a foggy morning, with bagel and eggs. Food was excellent, well generously portioned, served quickly, and with great service. Recommended for tourists and locals alike if you're hankerin' for nothing more than a good old-fashioned breakfast.

Outdoor seating available - two tables of two chairs each. Order inside and a server will be with you. Best breakfast I have had in a while... Biscuits are heavenly, potatoes hit the spot with the onions, crab omelette melts in your mouth. Need I say more?
