I like to buy locally made jewelry wherever I travel. My daughter likes to purchase local art. We spent a day in Cherokee, perusing shops, but we hit the jackpot at American Indian Trading Co! Mr. Frasher has a large selection of beautifully hand crafted jewelry, some of which is made by his wife and granddaughters. He also has a wide variety of art pieces including horse hair pottery, painted feathers, and hand made flutes. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Mr. Frasher as we made our selections, which took some time. We stayed in Bryson City, but this shop is well worth the trip from wherever you are.

We went to Bryson City last December to ride the Polar Express. While walking around we saw this shop and had to go in! We loved all the things in the shop. We purchased many pieces of jewelry, most of which is unique, and an Indian cookbook. We talked with the gentleman that operates the shop for a while and really enjoyed our visit! We hope to go back.

Always friendly, kind, respectful - owner ethically sources all crafts, materials, items supporting responsible artisans, those that replenish and renew natural resources in a sustainable, respectful way, educating and informing. An honorable veteran, serving knowledge and wisdom humbly to all. I never fail to be blessed every time I stop in.

Lots of Unique Authentic American Indian Items. Mr. Frasher was very informative and the art is very unusual and beautiful. It's right near the tourist train station so it's a good place to stop before or after the train ride. Highly recommend!

The gentleman waiting on me was very kind. He offered local info on the events happening. I wish I had purchased more but traveling would have been concerned of breakage. If we return I’ll definitely purchase more.

The owner is from the nearby Cherokee Reserve and all of the items are from either local artists or other American Indian Reserves across the US. Very fairly priced and beautiful pieces.

Great little store with unique and interesting artifacts. Owner was very knowable about the craftsmanship of the baskets we were purchasing.

Nice shop if you are looking for Native American stuff. The guy said he sold things for many different tribes.

The store owner was rude. He insulted me when I asked how much the Native Americans got from each purchase. Something I think anyone would want to know when trying to buy authentic Indian souvenirs. Later he did go out of his way to apologise and try to explain why he was rude.so at least he recognized how bad for business his attitude was.

If I could give zero stare I would. From the minute we walked in the owner was load and obnoxious. He said everything in the store was authentic and made by several different tribes, then told another lady his wife made the jewelery. I went up to grab a card because I thought the pieces were very pretty and was thinking for Christmas. I reached for a card and he yelled at me telling me that I could only take a buissness card if I bought aomething. So I said that's fine set it sown and left. Don't waste you time !!!

The owner made sure to tell us that EVERYTHING in the store was authentic and handmade so my fiancé bought a hand carved walking stick. When we returned home we found the SAME EXACT carved stick for a fraction of the price in a retail store called Roses.

Owner is a pompeous jerk. He makes the other local natives look bad. Will never go back as he is extremely rude. Don’t park near his store and go in any others first as he will yell rude comments and threaten to have you towed. Shame on you for making a lovely town look bad.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. $30 for a piece of junk that broke 2 hours after we bought it. Then the owner refused to exchange it.
