Al’s Tennis Shop

I’ve been going to Al’s since 2017, got my first racket there, and got 3 strung. He’s very smart when it comes to recommendations for rackets and tennis gear. Please support local shops, especially Al.

Great place with a great shop owner! First of all, Al is awesome, very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. He is also quick with stringing rackets and gives good advice. Will definitely visit this shop often for all my tennis needs. It's got everything you need plus more!

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I bought a couple of used rackets for my kids that needed restringing. Went to Dicks first. They told me it would take between 7-10 business days and that what standard as far as local stores too. So I googled tennis shops and Al's popped up first. Gave them a call. Al said come on down and we will get you taken care of, so I did. Al talked me through all of the different options then made some great recommendations. He got them done if a few hours and even took the time to clean up some scuffs and glue that was on them. He added some protective tape at no charge and shot me a text when they were ready for pick up. Don't get service like this much anymore. I highly recommend this shop.

Al is fantastic! Very professional and knowledgable about All aspects of tennis. He helped me pick the right racket and strings for my level of experience.. He has a very nice shop with plenty of inventory, from rackets, sneakers, bags and much more. He can also string or restring your racket right at his shop. I highly recommend Al's Tennis Shop to everyone.

Al is professional and very helpful. He has strung my tennis racket and given me excellent advice about my grip. He also keeps track of the strings and your tension for future re-stringing. I would recommend Al to all tennis and pickleball enthusiasts.

Al has everything you need to play and keep playing tennis. He strings rackets very quickly and will text you when your racket is ready. He’s also very knowledgeable and personable so I enjoy coming into the store. I’m not going elsewhere!!

I bought 2 racquets from Al’s Tennis shop. Al is very friendly and truly cares about customer satisfaction. He suggested strings to help with my tennis elbow and kept in touch with me to make sure I was happy and to check if the new strings helped with my problem. I no longer have that issue and I absolutely love the racquets and the strings he put on them.

Al's Tennis Shop is such a refreshing and wonderful shop to go to. They had a good selection of equipment available for tennis, pickle ball, racquet ball, and more. Al was so nice and sincere, just a really kind person who knew alot about tennis. He really helped my daughter get a better understanding of the kind of racquet she should be using and basic technique of handling the racquet. Way better than buying at big commercial store where no one else helps and if they do they don't know anything. I highly recommend Al's Tennis Shop for beginners and pros.

Great shop! Turnaround time is fast. Reasonable prices. Very friendly and will try to set you up with other players if you are new to the area. Very good location. No upsell and Al makes good recommendations on products and public courts to play on. Knows his products. Shop is very clean and well-maintained with a very good selection of products. He will get 100% of my business. He should get yours too.

Walked into the shop a little after 11am to get my tennis racket restrung. Al already had at least half a dozen of other rackets also getting restrung but he said he would have it done the same day. Before 2pm that day I received a text saying my racket was ready. Not only is Al quick but extremely professional, knowledgeable and has a passion for the sport.

The best and only place I would ever buy or string a racquet. Al is so friendly and helpful and has given us great advice for getting the most out of our equipment choices. Why shop at a big box store when you can get better service and prices from a friendly, neighborhood small business owner? Wish everything was as easy as shopping at Al's!

I was in dire need of a restringing and with my prior experience with Sports Authority and the like I had expected a turnaround time of about 3-5 days. Al had my racket back in my hands within 30 minutes. He was super helpful in the decision making process as a new comer to actually picking out tension and string type and walked through the pros and cons of each type. I will definitely be back for any tennis related needs.

I discovered this shop several years ago. I recently took my racquet in for the third time to be restrung and regripped. As always, there is a quick turnaround with a fair price. I love dealing with Al but most of all, a terrific feeling racquet after he is finished with it. Great selection of stings and super knowledgeable. I rate this shop a 12 out of 10!!! Al is a true tennis professional. His service and knowledge are top shelf. If I ever have an equipment question. He will give a straight and honest answer . I wish more vendors were as good as he is.

Al is great, did a solid, professional job restringing my racquets. Also, he didn't try to upsell me on any unnecessary products, but rather sold me what I needed. Lastly, he just gave good advice to me and my wife regarding my young daughter who is going to start taking tennis lessons soon. I really respect him and the job that he does.

So glad i found Al....very knowledgeable certified stringer. I made the drive from lakeland to get 2 racquetball racquets re-strung. I got them back the same day. Al is a treasure to this area!!!

Al is great! Completed re-stringing on 2 racquets overnight so we were ready to play the next morning. Nice shop in Winthrop Town Center right near the entrance and a Starbucks. The price is right and so is the selection of racquets, strings, grips, and other tennis accessories.
