What an awesome place! If I lived in Alameda I would definitely be a regular here.
The coffee is great and the people who work here are kind (especially the gentleman who helped me when I spilled some of my latte today).
They literally put a smile on my face this morning. Thank you.

Delicious empanada (cheese and onion, with tasty salsa) and latte (black sesame)! The foam on the black sesame was like lightly sweet marshmallow fluff -- and I mean that in the best possible way. They have some tables inside, a nice patio out back, and a few tables out front. Empanada was just the right amount of food for a filling breakfast.

Signal Coffee is an excellent place for coffee, espresso and snacks. You owe it to yourself to check it out and enjoy the facilities, indoors and out I the back. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to many happy returns...

Delicious! Super friendly staff and they were awesome! I had never gone before and they recommended something they thought I would love and I did! Can't wait to go again!

Signal is amazing! We were buying their coffee before this location opened its doors, and now we love sitting on the beautiful patio with a pastry and a drink.
My one wish is that they used ceramic mugs for dine-in orders, but really delicious food and friendly staff.

Best coffee in Alameda. They also sell Boichik bagels and they are too die for. There is seating inside, in the front and out back as well.

Visited on a weekday in the late morning. Delicious baked goods and coffee, but come early, cuz all the good stuff will be gone. Brought my two little dogs and sat on the back patio... small but very inviting, peaceful and lots of goers on laptops. The staff was so nice and even gave my dogs some healthy treats!

A nice mellow shop for delicious coffee drinks complemented buy a lovely back garden area with chairs and tables. A really nice area to sit and chat with friends.

I have been walking by many times since I live in the neighborhood. Today I saw that the doors were open for business! I looked inside and got a good vibe right away. They have boichik bagels! They roast their own coffee and (drum roll please) empanadas from El Porteño!! I tried an iced Mexican mocha. Very yummy on a hot day. I am actually going to stop my subscription to Peets and get my coffee here instead! Yay local business!

What a great coffee shop! The owner was very friendly and the breakfast sandwich was out of this world good! Will definitely be back with as many friends as I can! Fresh coffee and a nice atmosphere.

I love this coffee shop. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the outdoor patio space is just lovely, with a tricking fountain and good WIFI. I loved learning that the owners are a former writer/photographer couple who started their new venture by first roasting coffee at home. Their passion comes through for sure at this flagship location!

I really enjoyed the variety of of sweets coffee was yummy also great options and I wish I got his name of the owner he was personable . I was there the end of March I think it was his 1st week that spot opened ? There was a line always a good sign 😀

I have been buying Signal's AMAZING coffee beans(regular and decaf) since before they opened this EPIC coffee shop. They always have fabulous bakers and chefs popping up with extra goodies and savories. The coffee is hands down my favorite coffee in the entire East bay. Everything about Signal is tasteful(and tasty!) beautiful and curated for an excellent café experience with all your at home coffee needs for sale as well. Also a Berkeley and Park street location coming soon? I AM COVERED!! thanks SIGNAL!!

Our family stopped in to support this wonderful new, local business. I asked the gentleman for suggestions for something really different. His prescription? Mexican Coffee. Oh. My. Goodness. (insert hearts here) Without question, the BEST cup of coffee I have ever had, anywhere in the world. No joke. I dream about this stuff. Pastries were also outstanding. Welcoming, friendly shop with engaged owners, amazing coffee, and obvious care taken with everything they do. Such a wonderful addition to our side of the island.

Great little coffee shop with really good coffee and yummy treats. The patio area is very inviting and peaceful. The staff is very friendly. We own a coffee shop in another state but always stop here when we visit family.

Fantastic espresso. I’ve been enjoying their Solid State beans for a year now, both in-store and in my own espresso machine at home.

Best coffee shop in Alameda! Large selection of Starter pastries, Boichik bagels, empanadas, and more. Seating inside and outside (front and back). Friendly service, hip vibe. Will return again and again.

When I walked in then had my first sip I knew this was what had been missing this side of Alameda (maybe in all of Alameda). Great coffee. Wish you were open a little later than 2pm on weekdays you’d see me more often! Lovely secluded spot in the back.
