Antiques In Design Gift Shop

We were in Franklin North Carolina due to a business meeting for my husband...and came across a beautiful antique shop with beautiful gifts also...the owner was pleasant and willing to help with any questions we had.. I would recommend this as a place that all must visit...so stop in...you will not be sorry...

We visited here today. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the store had a great combination of modern decor and antiques for everyone.

When I see a sign that mentions "antiques", that's what I expect to find. If you are of like mind, you should realize that only about 10% of the merchandise in this shop would be considered an "antique" . The rest is "collectables", most brand new ones at that. I spent 30 minutes in there and did not see anything that I would consider purchasing. Obviously my style is different from the owners. Most items were overpriced, even at 50% off and, quite frankly, boring. And the antiques are priced higher than one would find in Andersonville or Atlanta. Would I tell you not to stop there-NO. Just realize you will find very few antiques and rather mundane collectables at higher than retail. Of course, you might walk in and fall in love with any number of items-I hope you do. BTW, I was greeted when I walked in the door, which is a plus in my book.
