Menards

On this visit, I needed to look at options for installing a simple handrail along three steps. I was ultimately directed to the lumberyard out back, which is much vaster (photo) than one would think from just looking at the front of the store. Here I met employee Bill, who went so totally out of his way to help me out it was mind-boggling. I learned an awful lot from this gentleman--a lot more than he realizes, even though I only bought a couple of boards.

After I left Bill to the rest of his job, I went back inside where I encountered another helpful employee, also in Lumber.

Alan knew exactly what I wanted and immediately walked me to where it was located. This dude (photo) carried himself and projected his voice like an actor, and I asked him about that.

"No, I'm not an actor, Sir," he smiled. "I just take my employee assistance very seriously."

Between Bill and Alan, I left the store thinking these young men should be role models for customer service at any store. Thank you, gentlemen!

I love that they decorated the outside with lights.

Outstanding customer attention culture. Places are made by their people, and this bussiness has an exceptional crew, like this young lady. Without any doubt, the best hardware and home store.

I came in looking for a toilet and the associate Juan was very friendly and asked if I needed assistance. He had the best customer service I ever received in any retail store please give this man a raise!

Went in looking for a security camera. I have no idea what I'm doing but luckily I found the employee ELIAS! He was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE SO FRIENDLY SO SWEET. he helped me out so much I feel VERY HAPPY with my purchase and I will definitely be back if all your employees are like ELIAS. Elias if you are reading this THANK YOU you saved me! Oh and Menards, GIVE ELIAS A RAISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He EARNS IT!!!

I want to say you're employees are nice and friendly and when you ask anyone of them help you they go that extra mile everytime I go there that's why I go to this location only .🙂🙂

If you want good prices on tools, menards is the way to go. If you want higher quality brand tools, go home depot, but you'll definitely pay for that. This location always seems to have everything in stock and doesn't see a lot of traffic. It's my go to for all my home projects.

It has everything you even think you may need. The people imo a very helpful. They stop 🛑 what they were doing and completely helped us get what we need. Their was one who just not went way above and beyond their duties. I most definitely appreciate it.
Menards- I will from now on ✅ with your stores 🏬🏬 first.

I love this place, they have everything I need and the prices are very competitive. They also have where you can mail in your receipt and get Menards dollars. I gained 97 Menards dollars and used it towards the kitchen that I am remodeling.

A little out of the way for a Chicagoan to get to. However, their prices are typically much lower than Home Depot or Lowe’s so a trip might be worth it if you plan on getting several items. Excellent selection and a very nice outdoor/landscaping section too!

Will always prefer this Menards over the Home Depot across the bridge. Menards customer service is kind and willing to help you. Even in the aisles the employees are willing to help or if they’re busy refer you to someone who can.

I got help with all the things I couldn’t find in the store. I needed some fly traps for my in home garden. I would have never found this where I was looking. The employee was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the correct location.

Menards is the best store of its kind. The lumber at Menards is better than the other big box store of its kind. The employees are helpful. Menards usually has what I need. Menards does not offer installation so if you are a contractor you are not competing against them.

Janet was very helpful when we rented a saw and helped us checkout the rental and buy the other couple items. Great customer service. I would come back to rent here just because of her.

I am not really a hardware store person but I will go to Menards because they have decorative items that I buy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. I have yet to have an employee say I don't know to me which I love. Because if you work anywhere you should know whats going on even if it's not your section.

Menards is the best. Not the largest store size but certainly adequate for all needs. A well stocked inventory. Easy to find what I am looking for. Parking lot is a lot better than the nearby walmart's

These stores have great customer service, great prices, a lot of offers and mail-in-rebates, you can always find an associate to help you find a product, one time I bought many bags of mulch and they asked me if I needed a hand to load my car. You can’t ask for more😉
