Professor Java's Coffee Sanctuary

If you’re old school Javas fans you know the house that Javas started in. Nothing will be better than that but this new location still makes me keep a Javas 😊 smile on my face.

High ceilings and wide open with two rooms nestled in the back (similar to the old spot). They roast their own coffee still and keep creating delicious sandwiches, wraps and drinks. Prices are less than “the Bucks” place but more than Stewart’s. All food is made to order and most of the baked goods are made onsite (such good cookies!!!!)

Free WiFi and lots of room to sit and get things done, plug in and accomplish what you need to.

This was amazing. I ordered a Cafe au lait and a slice of chocolate fudge cake. Coffee was really good for only $2.50 and that cake was something else. It made me buy another slice to-go. The ambience was great too, with paintings, warm wood-like furniture… it was awesome! I was very happy with the service. She was bubbling with happiness and was smiling the entire time while taking the order. Real positive vibes! 😁

The atmosphere is unrivaled. First is a typical area of cafe seating. Then there are two additional welcoming rooms. Both are completely covered in enchanting art works.
I only buy coffee in a place like this.

Thanks again to the exceptional employee at PJ's Coffee Sanctuary who went out of her way today (1/2/24) to help me find a coupon on my phone that I wanted to use towards my purchase. She then put a salad and muffin that my sister and I were sharing on two separate plates and she gave us each a hard boiled egg on our salad instead of splitting one egg between us. She didn't have to make it such a kind and heart-warming experience today but she did. The world needs more workers like her and people like her in general 🌠.

Great space to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee & relax. There’s an impressive amount of space to study or work, as well as plenty of tables for visiting with friends. I really enjoyed this spot, plus the available WiFi was perfect for my needs of sending some work emails.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a study space with good drinks.

Customer service was exceptional, she was very patient and even recommended some good choices.We ordered two medium drinks, a panini, and two large bakery items and spent $30.00😋 food was delicious and freshly made. Drinks were good. Gave a city vibe, paired with Harry Potter atmosphere. You walk in place your order, they call you up when it is ready. They use regular plates to serve you food, but still disposible cups for drinks. There are a lot of different rooms/ areas to sit as well. Overall nice Cafe

I loved their specialty latte. Cappawappa latte is must try (forgot the exact name ). I loved the ambiance and thoughtful structure & design of this cafe. Staff is very welcoming and supportive and polite.

One thing I didn't like is chocolate cake.. I felt it was stale and didn't taste as expected.

I got the Orange Julie Monkey which was absolutely delicious! The sandwich, Ashley’s Artichoke Melt was wonderful too- I usually don’t see artichoke as an option on sandwiches so I went for it!

Cute place, great drinks, nice food. Loved the paninis. Typical coffee shop, but we really loved the atmosphere! The service was awesome. Thank you!

Breakfast all day! Great selections

As a resident of the PNW, I am a bit apprehensive about finding truly good coffee on the east coast(no, Dunkin and Starbucks are not good coffee). Professor Chavez coffee sanctuary delivered the goods. Fast. Fresh. Delicious. Would definitely come here again!

One of the best coffee shops in town to try.

I got suggested by my friend and tried their signature coffee, its all tastes and smells sooo good.

Staff is friendly and good place for students to hangout and study.

Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The coffee as always was perfectly done. The macchiato, specialty lattes, and iced drinks are all top notch. There are also a bunch of very good teas here. The wraps came with a side of fresh pineapple which was a welcome addition. I’ve also had lunch at Professor Javas several times and the sandwiches are excellent. I recommend this place to anyone that visits the capital region.

Delicious breakfast served by charming folks in a space full of personality. 100 times better than hotel breakfast (and that's a compliment, I promise).

Great place for a drink and a meal. Enjoyed the burrito bowl and the tea. Service is great and friendly, definely coming back when i am around the albany area.

Great breakfast sandwich. The croissant was fresh and comes with 2 eggs. Ice coffee was good too. Plenty of seating in and outside.

A cozy local institution, this coffee shop with table service has three rooms, tons of seating, and a chill, grungy Seattle feel. The breakfast/deli food is good and reasonably priced, the bakery goods are yums, and of course the coffee is hot and delicious. If you're choosing between here and Starbucks, choose here.

There's parking behind the building, and his/hers bathrooms. It's close to the Northway and close to the airport and a very convenient resting place when going from there to there. This is a place where quiet meetings take place, where people find corners to sip and read, and where the ubiquitous writer is banging out the next great novel on his Mac. No liquor license, but no place is perfect.

Cozy atmosphere. Lots of space, including two separate rooms with books. Friendly baristas. Really good coffee. I got a Bees Knees lavender vanilla iced latte and it is one of the best, if not the best I've had.

I wish I lived closer. I had a breakfast croissant sandwich and a latte that was amazing. The bakery items looked just as good. Staff is great and there is a very cozy atmosphere here.
