I've been to many running shops in my life to buy gear. Runner's Image stands above them all. Not only friendly, but genuinely helpful staff. Recommended some new shoes to try out which led to my purchase. They have shoes, some running gear running nutrition. They have weekly runs for all levels of runners or walkers. They money you spend here stays in Rockford. Would definitely recommend Runner's Image to any level of runner.

Went out looking for trail runners, was recommended to these people. No complaint here, received a friendly greeting and service. And got a pretty high quality pair of shoes for a reasonable price. Would recommend

If you need running shoes, this is the place to go! Each staff member is extremely knowledgeable about the various brands, models, and just running in general, and they truly care about your experience. From the moment you walk in, they're there to help you. I brought my current shoes with me, and the woman who helped me asked about what I liked and didn't like about them. Then she had me walk barefoot to see how I stepped and brought out several recommendations. I tried on at least 10 pairs of shoes, and after each pair, she talked to me about the shoe design and listened to my feedback from walking around in them. She even offered to order a few pairs in larger sizes to see if I liked how those fit better, but I ended up loving one of the pairs that fit perfectly! I've only started to break them in, but I already love how light they are and how easy it is to run in them. I was here about an hour and never felt rushed.

Anthony is extremely knowledgeable & gave me the best customer service I've ever experienced. After reading the excellent reviews online I decided to see what the talk was all about. He looked at my feet from every angle to see what shoe would fit best. He took his time with me and chose multiple pairs for me to try on. I found a pair of Brooks which are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. If you're looking for a shoe professional who knows what he's talking about stop in and ask for Anthony!

I just went in and purchased a pair of Brooks Ghost 10. The shoes are great, but I cannot say enough about the service I received here. Anthony helped me. He was beyond great. Very patient and helpful to make sure I was walking out with the right shoes for me. I think I tried on over 6 pair of shoes and never once did I feel rushed or felt as though I was a bother. What a wonderful experience! Thank you Anthony and thank you Runner's Image!! I'll be back soon..

Visited to purchase some new athletic shoes to use for aerobics, treadmill, outside exercise. Anthony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He looked at my current shoes, wear patterns and watched me walk to help him in determining what types and brands to bring out for me to try on. He brought out my preferred brand, which didn't feel as good as in the past, he then spent over an hour taking me find the best shoe for me. He asked specific questions after each pair to better determine what brand or style to try next. The very last pair were the winners for me. The color wasn't desirable, but Anthony called the supplier and found a color more to my liking. The quality and styles of shoes are better than big box stores and the prices are therefore higher than most big box stores or online; however, the service you receive to find the best pair of shoes for you is the ultimate value. I will return when I met my next pair of shoes.

So very helpful here!! I have had several ankle injuries and have struggled to find the right shoe. Since coming here, I haven't had foot or ankle pain. The right shoes for your foot and stride make such a big difference! They give lots of good advice and are very patient... no matter how many pairs you need to try on! I was afraid the prices were going to be ridiculous based on how good the customer service was. I have checked every shoe I've purchased, and the price is always the same (or less!) than amazon and other online retailers.

Went to get a new pair of gym shoes here because I was told they had the best shoes and service in town. They did not disappoint! I love my new shoes!!

I cannot rave enough about this store. I frequently make visits here for my running shoes and apparel! The staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly. They love to help and are great at it. When you can't decide or don't know what is best suited for your needs they are eager to assist you. They constantly aim to positively impact your running experience rather than pointing you to more expensive items. I encourage you to bring all your business to them!

Went in to get fitted as a new runner because my wife forced me! As a stubborn man I was skeptical. GLAD I did, Carol was extremely friendly and there was no judgement for being a clueless novice. The shoes I was fitted for fit so much better! They carry current running shoes and you won't find better prices! Better to go in and get a professionals opinion than save $40 on the wrong shoes online and get an injury down the road! Highly recommend and glad I spent my money local!

I’ve purchased several shoes here throughout the years and I’ve never been anything less than extremely satisfied. They take the time to make sure you’re taken care of. They’re knowledgeable and honest. I’ve always been 100% satisfied.

They spent so much time making sure that I found the proper shoes for me and my run. They were very pleasant and I am very happy with my purchase. The cost of the shoe is about what you would pay online but you know you're getting the right ones. Thank you!

Best running shoe store I have been to. I have been a coustmer for over 11 years. I always come back due to their wealth of knowledge, hiring of competent people to work in the store and they are always friendly. They are willing to take their time to ensure they get you the right shoe for you.

Went to get my third pair of Brooks. Because of supply issues they didn't have my size and couldn't order them. They gave me a website of a store in Oregon. Who does that!!?? Best, most personal store in Rockford.

I'm writing this review because I felt respected and cared for at Runner's Image and I want to publicly express my respect in return. Runner's Image outfitted me in running shoes during the pandemic and they were incredible. I am grateful for the thoughtful way they addressed safety concerns and limited the likelihood of continuing the spread of COVID, including new policies on fittings, masks/hand sanitizer, and having me handle my own credit card rather than pass it back and forth, etc. This is a business that takes its commitment to health seriously. (Also, my new shoes are great.)

I love this store! They really go the extra mile to help you get what you need. Even though I was past due for new running shoes, I waited for them to reopen after the Covid19 closings just so I could give my 4to them. Highly recommend!

This is always where I get my running shoes. Great selection of both road and trail. Just went and got a set of each for my daughter if she's getting into more running.

I couldn’t be happier with a pair of shoes. Wore the new women’s Altra HIIT right out of the box. Workout was great! I have always had a problem with toes going numb and a little toe friction while working out or running, not in these girls! I have lifted weights, HIIT and lots of jumping in these shoes, not one single negative. While pushing sleds five rounds, found I had excellent traction and excellent flexibility. Very stable while doing dead lifts, I am prone to a little rolling, but not in these. While transitioning from assault bike to ski ergs I am able to stop the bike and jump off with ease. Some reviews complain about sizing. If your buying online and not using a professional, like Anthony at Runners image, that’s bound to happen. Anthony will take the time to try every shoe in stock to make sure you are happy! He always said a shoe should just feel like an extension of your foot. These shoes do just that. Other reviews complain about heel slip, well that is easily remedied by doing the running lace-up that Anthony taught me during my many visits to Runners Image.
