Very very good burger in my opinion. 5 stars!
Sorry I cut the burger in half in the picture to share with my wife. But I wanted to leave a review. The burger is that good. Wonderful flavor. Made my day!

We ordered the loaded potato skins. They were good. We might stop by another time and get a sandwich or some ice cream. The booths were very old timey and had a nice atmosphere.

Wonderful food! One of the best burger and dogs I have had and I consider myself an expert! Truly amazing short order grill food! Onion rings, cheese fries and that hamburger was so thick and huge I almost could not take a bite… We will be back every time we are in the area!

I have to be completely honest, I did not have high expectations for this small restaurant. The employees could have been more friendly, but alas we were very hungry. The food was quick and delicious! Everyone in my party seemed very happy and satisfied. I would recommend it but be prepared to pay. It was pricey!

My homemade cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato was good. I enjoyed looking at all memorabilia on the walls. It actually made me think of being in a real boxcar of sorts. I meant to get ice cream in a handmade waffle cone but was full from the burger and fries. It was more fun going here than the McDonald's. I could go to McDonald's anytime, anywhere... but this is a one of a kind experience here in Bryson City, NC.

Food is so good and tastes like a good genuinely cooked burgers and stuff

This place is AMAZING! Really good food and well priced. Chicken quesadilla is amazing, as well as the burgers! Not to mention the baked potato with broccoli and cheese. Kids loved it.

We had lunch here on October 31 and November 1, 2023. The hamburgers are wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely love this place, the food is always amazing, you definitely get your money's worth, I usually make two meals from the tater tots.

Great Ruben and onion rings. Owners and personnel were friendly and very helpful. Great recommendations. Hand dipped ice cream YUM.

Food was great! Portions were big with the exception of the kids pizza. Pizza was also over priced for what you get size and type. Just a little square frozen pizza for $6.95.

This was such a nice place for dinner. The staff and food was excellent.

Came to box car specifically for hot dogs. We ended up getting a hot dog, a couple of chili cheese burgers and loaded potato skins. All our food was exceptionally good. Martha did a great job cooking our meal and was also very friendly and attentive at the register. Would definitely recommend The Box Car Cafe.

This was a cute little ice cream shop in the middle of downtown Bryson city. Easy to get to and perfect after dinner or afternoon treat. The decor is adorable and the staff are friendly

Went here today for the first time. The cafe has a very cozy atmosphere with Elvis memorabilia, and very retro booths! The lady running the show today was awesome. I ordered a boxcar burgers and cheese curds, AMAZING! I grew up in Wisconsin so cheese curds are definitely in my blood, they serve Wonder cheese curds! I have been told that everything on the menu is good, so definitely stop in and grab one of the best burgers around!

Timeless place to enjoy inside or outside square next the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Excellent Milkshake and good ole coffee. Cinnamon roll hit the spot. A must when you visiting Bryson City,NC.

Stopped by earlier today to grab a quick bite to eat. When I walked in I was met with a glowing friendly smile from Christiana and Martha. The food was amazing and I made a point to tell the cook how I enjoyed the food I think his name is Robert. Thanks for the great food and great friendly service I will visit again.
