Family owned. The son made me my latte. Super cute. Inside with records and nice music. Places to set up a laptop and look out the windows. Super super friendly. Will definitely be coming back. Also check out the wine bar downstairs. What a nice family!

Nice charming coffee place, with a succulent cinnamon roll. Family run business with amazing matcha and lattes (my family loved it) and amazing customer service!

I love coming to this little cafe - their chai is addictive, the latte is always great, the cold brew is strong without being acrid or bitter, and the entire space feels designed to slow you down so you can really enjoy the moment. Tried a couple of their pastries, yummy to the last crumb.

Adorable little coffee shop, the pistachio cake was amazing and the chai was good too. To enter go through the main building door and go up a few steps, coffee shop is on the left. Unclear if there was an accessible entrance elsewhere.

Little confusing at the entrance but once you’re in you are greeted by very welcoming space and barista. Love the decor, music & atmosphere as well as food and coffee.

Fantastic coffee and services! The coffee was delicious and made with care. Big applause to the store for not charging additional for alternative milk options. Lots of seating available. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend!

My wife and I love going to Mercat for work or study sessions. It’s got a classic coffee shop vibe, great staff, and awesome beverages and pastries. It’s a little hidden away, but look for the coffee flag out front!

Charming little hole in the wall with great seating for 1 or 2 people. Tasty café morsels and excellent light roast. Staff are always chipper and engaged. Never had a bad time here.

Really nice coffee shop. Quiet and peaceful which was perfect for studying. Just make sure you pay for parking if you use the public parking lot. I didn't and got a parking fine /: chai latte was good.

When I'm heading out to explore a new town first thing I do is search for the local coffee shops. So happy to have found Mercat by 1915! The location was easy to find from the train station and the setting is a combination of precious, comfortable and interesting. The coffee was perfect; I had a brewed cup and my partner had a cappuccino. We also shared a delicious pastry. The lovely woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond helping us locate a missing jacket later that afternoon, left in the bathroom. The cafe was already closed but she took the time to respond to our FB inquiry and set the beloved jacket aside until we could get back to town a couple of days later. Highly recommend stopping in for a coffee and a sweet treat!

This is by far my favorite coffee shop in the Hudson Valley! Kai and the team that run it are always very friendly and welcoming. The baked goods they get are delish! The food is always fresh and yummy. And the coffee is fantastic! I love that they make their own simple syrups and offer really unique flavors like rose, pandan, pine, etc. The vibe there is also so chill and cozy. HIGHLY recommend!

Mercat by 1915 is by far one of my favorite coffee shops. I have enjoyed everything I've ever tried there weather it's some form of coffee, or one of the delicious baked goods. 10 out of 10, this place is definitely worth checking out!

This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised to find a good independent coffee shop in downtown Poughkeepsie, away from the Vassar area. definitely be back. I enjoyed my iced coffee, and they have a selection of house-made flavored syrups. I also had a delicious cookie that made me wish I’d gotten more than one. The service was excellent. I look forward to returning again!

Truly a hidden gem (hiding in plain sight). Excellent house baked scone and a relaxing, quiet setting in the middle of the city run by really nice people.

Cute local coffee shop! Friendly baristas and great drip coffee! One of the last things I tried was a cinnamon roll and it was really good.

I just happened to be in this area and in need of coffee. The coffee was delicious as was the chocolate coconut scone. They even had almond milk which seems not so common in a lot of places around here. The atmosphere was the perfect coffee house environment. I definitely recommend a visit.

the vibes at mercat are immaculate, such an amazing ambiance and decor, 10/10 music (they play music straight off vinyls), the chocolate croissant was great and the chai blew me away, this is an amazing place to study or spend time with friends
