I take my daughter here who collects Breyer horses. They always have something for her and we enjoy chatting with the owner about Breyer Fest. He even showed us the new catalog. Always fun to stop in!

One of the best of the best when it comes to Rockford hobby shops. I'm more so into cosplay with gunpla mixed into that passion for hobbies, and they don't have much for either (decent gunpla selection that is expanding though!) Lots of different model kits, board games, items for diorama making, wide variety of model paints too, but it's such a nice experience shopping here. Staff is very friendly, sharing regular updates on their Facebook page of new items that come in and of any interest you just give them a call and they'll put a hold on it for you. Prices are the best too!!!

I've been going to Royal Hobby since I was a child and it has always been a comfortable place to explore and pick up new hobbies. They have a wide selection of games and hobby resources, good prices and many discounted items. Every time I come home to visit my parents I try to stop by and check their current selection of miniatures and games!

Amazing little hobby/game store with a diverse collection for all hobbyists and gamers and welcoming owners. Even though it's always been further than some other hobby stores for me, it's always been worth the trip. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I’ve moved from Rockford and living on the east coast now.... this store was awesome. So many great models and a super military model selection for sure. They also had a ton of tabletop gaming figures there when I was there about 6 years ago. Really miss this store.

Royal hobbies has been going strong in Rockford for a long time. You can find a decent selection of new models and games, plus supplies and books. They carry some craft and art items as well. Additionally, they often have consignment and collections for sale.

Amazing shop of full of hidden treasures and incredibly friendly and knowledgable old school gamers. There really is something for everyone here, and the prices are fantastic! We drive an hour out, and this place is worth it every time.

I have been shopping here since 1980. They have had in stocked all my Dungeons & Dragons needs. Hope you guys will be around another 40 years for my children's and grandchildren's gaming and hobby needs.
