Hector's Kitchen

We are from out of state and stumbled upon Hector's. We have never had Cuban Cuisine before. We started with Mimosas, street corn, jalapeño cheese sticks and chips & salsa, all of which were so good. We finished it off with a Mojito, the Coconut Wrap and Cuban Pork Plate...it was all SO delicious and the waitress was one of the best ever! So happy to find this place and will def revisit if we are ever in the area!

I had an all around good experience. The authentic food, the fun and lively decor, and the small cafe tables inside, as well as the outdoor patio. This is one of my favorites.

We’ve had food from all over, including in Honduras, and this place is absolutely worth the trip. Everything is made in-house with super fresh ingredients. Specifically, the Cuban sandwich and the arepa we had were top notch authentic.

Hector's Kitchen has great food and great service! It is a local favorite for my wife and I. We don't always get a chance to dine there, but when we do, we always enjoy our experience there. Everything on the menu is delicious. Try it all!!

Had one of their bowls with shredded chicken and a pineapple agua frescas. Ugh SOOO GOOD! If I had to say anything negative I can only say there was a little too much cilantro in the bowl but honestly didn’t even care because it was so good regardless. My husband had the street corn and nachos and loved every bit as well. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant!!super good food. I will definitely come back! One thing I wish they did was to check if we needed more to drink. I got their STREET TACOS and it was delicious!! I got something else but I can’t remember what I got. But other than that highly recommend.

Wow! So delicious! We were driving through town and stopped here on a whim and the Colombian food was excellent! So flavorful and authentic. Highly recommend! The Colombian pork bowl was outstanding.

This place is amazing..the food is delicious & the service is great!! Mojito for the drink.. the Cuban sandwich was amazing & wings.. chips & salsa was delicious as well.. I'll be trying everything on the menu eventually!

Authentic Latin food and super people. It's all about the food here - not a fancy place. Very down home. Highly recommend the coconut roll! 6/2023 update: Consistently tasty and fresh. The best food i eat comes from Hector's!

Awesome place! Well worth the time and money.
Prompt delivery of food and it was delicious. I’m something of a Cuban connoisseur myself. And this one was one of the best. No mayo or mustard mix but it was tender enough I didn’t miss it. Salsa was also super good. Friendly bunch, the owner is from Columbia, and the ladies do a super good job. I also heard one guy got 12 Cubans for only $59.12 which was awesome. Check it out.

The food was great, the Americana was so good I had to take one home for the next day. Wonderful atmosphere from the time you walk in until you leave. The ladies were some of the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Professional, informative, pleasant and happy to please. I did not get the names of them all except for Kim, which we had the pleasure of speaking with and we probably would not have come back the next day. We made a special trip back for breakfast based on her conversation the evening before. Well worth it!! Glad we did. We did spy Hector and he was extremely busy so we didn’t disturb him.😉

We thought the food was good. I had an Empanada and my wife had a Cuban sandwich.

Food was great and seemed very authentic. Service was very fast and the dining room was comfortable.

Great selection of dishes, friendly and helpful staff, charming decor. This place is a true gem! And they just started doing breakfast as well!

Our appetizers and entrees were SO DELICIOUS that I forgot to take pictures!! We had the beef empanadas, croquettes, and mofongo (pork). Everything tasted amazing!! Our table of 4 wished that the food temperature would have been a little hotter with the entrees and the soup that came with them, but that was a very minor complaint. I drive an hour from home to eat here, and I will definitely be eating here again!

Very nice restaurant. Small and cozy, nice environment and friendly service. Foods is really good and tasty. A must try if you in Attalla.

Everything was sooo delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Gadsen. The staff was nice. I had the chicken nachos, jalapeños cheese sticks and pecan pie bread pudding. The passion fruit agua fresca was delicious. I wasn't able to try the breakfast. But if I am ever in the area again I will.

This is a Cuban restaurant. A hidden treasure in this town! The atmosphere is warm and is very stylish. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly, Stephanie was very nice and helpful. It’s eat in or walk up window on the outside if it is crowded inside.
I got the chicken nachos, they were very good, white cheese, salsa, black beans, and sautéed vegetables. The Cuban sandwich was excellent, authentic bread and great tasting.
I would recommend this place if you are looking for something different, Stephanie said the food is not spicy, and you will find things like coconut wraps and plantains, so check it out.

Amazing flavors!! Best food in town. Hector and his staff are amazing. Always fresh ingredients. The flavors are unlike anything you can get anywhere else.

The staff is like family. If you ever have to wait on your food just know it's being prepared fresh and it's worth the wait.

If you're new here, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu but the Coconut Wrap or a Columbian Plate are two of the most popular. The jalapeno cheese sticks are amazing. Ask for 1,000 Island dressing to go with them and thank me later. This place is a must!!

I love Hector's. Excellent food and service. We always order to go, but decided to dine in today. I had The Columbian with soup and my boyfriend had the chicken bowl.
