The Bluebonnet Cafe and Coffee Bar

Fantastic breakfast, lunch, & coffee bar in a renovated historic brick wall building.
Enjoyed a hot cup of tea with my all veggies omelette, oatmeal, and hash browns. The omelette was impressively layered! The menu made it easy to eat dairy free.
Also ordered a fajita chicken salad. Everything was fresh, crisp, & flavorful.

My wife and I were told, we had to try this place. On the town square in Valley View, a great little cafe with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food that we ordered was very good and I was impressed with their variety of Mexican dishes a variety I haven’t yet seen since moving to this area, along with traditional items. The pancakes were amazing, I can tell that they have a special recipe for them, because they have a type of creamy sweet flavor. I tried the Chicken Fried Chicken and hash browns and it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and get there breakfast burrito.

Fun and fresh. Couldn't believe I was able to find food this fresh in small town USA. It was also remarkably delicious. The serving size was pretty big and was plated beautifully. You gotta try if you are passing by.

Off the beaten path...best breakfast we've had in a long time! They have what I call skillet toast [buttery crunchy and flavourful]. The biscuits were perfect. Plates are shareable! Scratch kitchen all the way. Hand-battered chicken fried steaks. Expresso machine that can make all kinds of coffee options. I ordered a chia. They have beer and wine as well as cocktails. DELICIOUS! Parking is across the street. Handicapped ♿ accessibility. They have a large kids menu as well.

This is a great place for breakfast. The staff are all very friendly and make sure you feel welcome. The owner came out to introduce herself too and told us that everything is made from scratch, and we could tell because everything was delicious. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Such a great little place, so glad we discovered it. The food you can tell is all homemade. You must try the breakfast shot delicious. This place was so good we ate on Saturday. Went to the casino and came back Sunday to have some more of their good food.

I loved everything about the Bluebonnet Cafe! The entire square is like stepping back in time. The historic buildings and murals that surround the park are beautiful! Then, when you step into the Cafe, you are greeted by a sort of hospitality that seems to be in short supply these days. The food was delicious. I was especially surprised when my friend asked if they offered a veteran's discount, and the answer was yes!

Came here with my husband and daughter and we absolutely loved it! Definitely the small town cafe feel. Everyone was super friendly and we have definitely found our new breakfast spot! 10/10!

This place was crazy good. A truly outstanding plate of food in a tiny town north of Fort Worth. More people should be road tripping to eat here. My son said it could be one of the best plates of food he's had in years. He has the honey butter chicken biscuit. I had biscuits and gravy and everything was homemade and fresh. A great dining experience. It gets busy and only open for breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly. Staff was friendly and owner or manager was around and attentive.

My boyfriend and I visited the Bluebonnet cafe and coffee bar over the weekend and I just HAD to come add my own positive review because we had a great experience! We had a Bloody Mary, i had a hazelnut iced latte, we shared chips & salsa, and fried pickles, and he had the Cuban sandwich with fries and i had the chorizo breakfast tacos combo… we had no complaints or critiques about any of the totems we had - all were delicious. We’ll definitely be back and i do recommend 🙂

The Bluebonnet Cafe, and coffee bar is a home run for breakfast, and lunch options 😁 in Cooke County. They have delicious menu selections. The coffee, bar has offerings of espresso ☕, Carmel macchiato, latte's and alcohol offerings for those that want to have a mimosa for their breakfast. This was my second visit, and it was just as good as the first visit. We had a chance to have a nice visit with the owner Shelly B. We were really impressed with her and her endeavors. Her hard work is paid off! Give this place a visit you won't be disappointed!

Very small town cafe with very big flavor! This cafe is so cute part of a town square that’s looks like it’s been there for years and years. Currently house sitting in Sanger Tx and decided to stop by since it’s close. Best decision ever. All the servers were extremely friendly. Great hospitality. My Bloody Mary was super tasty. I ordered the “papa’s biscuits and gravy” I opted to upgrade to the sausage gravy, got over medium eggs and hash browns. I also added a side of bacon. Talked to the barista/bartender the whole time and she was super sweet. My food came out and it was a very healthy Texas size portion. Lol. Biscuits were so soft and fluffy. Gravy top notch. Hash browns were THOROUGHLY seasoned. Most places just fry them up and season the tops but these were absolutely deliciously seasoned throughout. Thick cut bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. This was the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. Highlyyyyy recommend you stop by here!

I stopped in for a coffee while traveling. The server was very friendly and helpful. My caramel macchiato was absolutely delicious! I will remember this place the next time I am passing through.

I believe this place opened recently! It was so cute! I’m so glad my friends and I decided to stop by! The food was so delicious and the service was great! They have so many drink options, from iced lattes with oat milk to mimosas. Everyone at our table ordered a different drink and food item but they all looked perfectly crafted and tasted splendid! (: I hope that I get to come here again very soon!

Sunday morning crowd as usual. The wait was short than most places at 10:30 AM. The Carmel Macchiato could have used another shot of espresso, but our food was well worth the wait! Their biscuits are so amazing so the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and Biscuits & Gravy Platter are show stoppers!!! I highly recommend stopping in for for a bite.

My favorite local place to eat—I pass *quite* a few breakfast/lunch restaurants to come to Bluebonnet for a few reasons (in no particular order):

-The delicious food is cooked from scratch and made to order
-GENEROUS PORTIONS!!!
-They remember people's names and really care about each person
-THEY LOVE CHILDREN and have a special wall for their kiddie clients' artwork (coloring pages and crayons provided by Bluebonnet Café)
-The relaxed atmosphere is great for dining and chatting—and working. If you want fast and sub-par *fast* food, go to a fast food chain.
-Breakfast shots (available all day)!!!

I noticed no one else was talking about their unique and tasty libations, so let me share a few.

First, the Breakfast Shot: one shot of Jameson, chased with another shot that’s a blend of butterscotch schnapps and orange juice, and finish by crunching on the (drowned) crispy bacon. Yeah. It hits.

Next, the French Toast Shot. Equal parts butterscotch, schnapps, fireball whiskey, and Bailey’s. Rimmed with sugar, cinnamon, and finish with a banana slice. Delicious!

Finally, Mimosa! A FULL glass of champagne, with orange juice on the side. Shelly Combs (owner at Bluebonnet Café) makes sure you know you are not getting shorted on champagne. ❤🥂❤

No diluted mimosas here!!!!!

Food: as I mentioned, it's all cooked from scratch and made to order.

The omelet was massive! Oh, and ask for an 'upgrade' to the hashbrown casserole. Tasty!

Club sandwich: look at the slabs of protein on this generous triple decker! They don't use nasty pre-packaged deli meat.

If you're looking for made to order (and from scratch) delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by friendly and caring people, this is your place!

Wow. Stumbled upon this place with a random “coffee” Google search while at the nearby state park and was not disappointed!! Cozy little cafe, food was AMAZING, coffee was fresh and flavorful….wow. Made a great camping trip that much better!

Amazing experience here!!!! The food was superb, the service was amazing and the owner is sensational! So much history, breakfast is AWESOME! Definitely will be back soon!! 💕
