We made an appointment with ACB tor my son to look at trumpets We wanted to buy him another one as a graduation gift. We had no idea that we’d be there as long as we were there. The staff was amazing! She was knowledgeable, informative, kind, and considerate. My had a blast - I think he played nearly every trumpet in the store and was in heaven the whole time. It was awesome to see his excitement. I can’t recommend this place enough!! We ended up purchasing a very cool, custom trumpet they had on consignment.

I cannot say enough good things about Austin Custom Brass or Trent Austin. My 13 year old trumpet player needed his first professional grade trumpet and we eventually decided to fly in to ACB from Denver to take advantage of the huge selection there.

Trent met us for our appointment, discussed with my kid the styles and use he was aiming for and set a budget with me. For almost two hours Trent brought in a selection of trumpets, a few at a time, let my kid try them at his own speed in a private practice room, ran through warm ups together and taught him ways to evaluate the results from each horn against the others. As a non-musician myself I was so grateful to have someone so patient and knowledgeable and so good with new musicians there to guide us.

In the end, we flew home with a new trumpet that feels like an extension of my kid. I would recommend a similar pilgrimage to any musician or family looking for outstanding service and selection.

I received my ACB Doubler Flugelhorn about a week ago, and I've been loving it ever since! They even sent me a video of one of their experts, Josh, taking it through its paces before shipping. Josh ended with a tip on tuning. The service was excellent, and I love this instrument. I can barely wait to try it with their Fab 5 mouthpiece (back-order). Great horn! Great store!

I ordered a beautiful ACB B-stock Doubler’s flugelhorn with a serious discount offered for an almost-invisible ding. It’s absolutely beautiful, a true work of art, and it plays great. Unbelievable quality for the money. What an incredible deal! Very pleased with this purchase.

I’m a hobbyist trumpeter so I decided to pick up the deal Trent had on one of the ACB doubler’s flugelhorns he had in stock. There was just the tiniest flaw in the finish on the lower bout on the lead pipe. The horn is a joy to play and didn’t break the bank! I had my professional trumpeter friend play it (who owns a very high end flug) commented that the ACB sounded better than his! The big difference is the way the valves feel, but that is at least partly due to the ACB not being 100% free of grease or broken in yet. Very happy with the horn and highly recommend ACB to purchase the horns you need!

I've recently just purchased a Mt Vernon Bach Strad 37 from ACB and I can't be more happy! Now I've purchased from them before, mostly smaller purchases like mouthpieces and valve oil, but buying this awesome instrument from them was a very reassuring experience. Between the updates on how the order was going to the personal video sent demonstrating the horn, I can say that any other horn purchases will be coming from here if possible! It was packaged very well and was delivered quick, but I live just a short distance from the shop that i probably just need to make time to personally check out and visit sometime. Thank you to the whole team that made this investment worth while!

I have had a great experience of purchasing my new mouthpiece at ACB. I liked the wide range of different mouthpieces available. The wide choices though are not overwhelming thanks to very helpful videos with explanations by Trent Austin leave alone mouthpieces characteristics documentation. I have purchased TAL+ mouthpiece after chating with Trent over phone. Thankful to him for professional advice. The mouthpiece arrived very fast despite the distance - I'm from Israel. I recommend ACB to all my trumpet friends. Regarding the TAL+ mouthpiece - it feels very good at both low and high registers. And it feels very open and produce brilliant sound.

I bought a BAC Benge trumpet after I saw Trent Austin's awesome video about the horn on YouTube. I live in Dallas so I had to make my purchase online. Josh answered all my questions and was nice enough to take multiple pictures of the horn from different angles and text them to me so that I could decide if I wanted the horn as it was a slightly used horn that they were selling on consignment. They also offer this horn brand new but I got a deal on this one so I decided to go with it. There were a few cosmetic things that bothered me about the horn when I got it but Josh and Chacko from BAC got those things taken care of for me quickly and professionally and Josh even took a whole new round of pictures and texted them to me so that I would know that everything was done properly. It's great to know when you buy something from another state that the people you're buying from stand behind their products and are there to help you if you should have a concern and Josh was extremely patient through the whole process and he helped to expedite everything and I would say that Austin Custom Brass is a true Pro Shop that takes the time and effort to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase.

The first truly new horn I have had is the Doubler Flugelhorn from ACB. It arrived and it was as promised. I don't play it much yet, but I suspect next year it will come in hand with our church orchestra. I've purchased trumpet mouthpieces and accessories from ACB as well -- they are very helpful over the phone. ACB is my go to music/instrument store.

I have purchased an 1A V2 Trumpet and several mouthpiece tops and backbores from ACB...all excellent and amazing.... however what stands out above all is the superior customer service support and extensive knowledge of the staff.

The used Austin Custom Brass Sonic flugelhorn I purchased a month ago exceeded my expectations right out of the box. The Sonic is so easy and fun to play and sounds great in all styles of music. My entire range from below the staff to above the staff is accessible and in tune. The MV flugelhorn mouthpiece I purchased with the Sonic was so comfortable that I purchased an MV trumpet mouthpiece in the ACB standard blank. The MV trumpet mouthpiece produces the sound I desire more efficiently with a stronger and centered upper register. I'm happy to support ACB's commitment to quality products and outstanding customer satisfaction.
