Small town joys. Blueberry pancakes are yuuummm. The mouse kid pancakes, large, sweet, and worth it (I promise you the kids will have enough). Coffee hit the spot, could tell it was fresh and not overly bitter. The staff have the small town charm you're hope to see, really sweet people. The locals don't glare, even in the morning.

Our first time eating here today and was very pleased. Friendly greeting as soon as we walked in followed by great service. My omelet was as good as any I've ever had even had fresh mushrooms in it pancakes were on point and my coffee cup was never empty. Will definitely be going back!

Excellent grille/ Cafe right in downtown Clayton. You have to frequent this place. Excellent food and service cooked right by the owners. If you’re hungry, they have what you want.

The food and service was excellent! We went for the Friday night all you can eat Catfish. The fish was excellent and didn't need sauce. Fries were good. Mac and Cheese was excellent. Perch was good as well. Their cobblers were also on point, we had the BlackBerry and the Peach. I would highly recommend.

Typical greasy spoon diner, however don't let that be a negative impression. This place has delicious food, courteous staff, and it was quick! I got the meatloaf Manhattan, and the meatloaf was really good!

Went for the Friday all you can eat catfish. It was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. A great place to take a ride to for a good meal.

The owner is great! Food was great! Loved the catfish. While it's true they don't have the all you can eat catfish...the two massive filets were all I could eat! Check this lady and her hard working staff out for some good home cooking, you won't be disappointed.

I am very critical when we go out to eat. I am spending my hard earned money and expect to be treated as tho they appreciate my visiting their establishment. First thing, we were told to sit wherever but all the empty tables were dirty so we chose a table that we had to turn the chairs off the table to the floor. Then we had to ask for the table to be cleaned, which visibly upset the "waitress" when they take your order they don't write anything down so when she brought our drinks she thought she had them right. Luckily she did. We drove almost an hour to eat there as they were having a catfish special for lunch. The food was terrific, but the service and atmosphere was very lacking. We'll probably go back, but it will be awhile.

Gabby saw me sitting for a while and took care of me. The grilled cajun catfish was PERFECT!!!

I have had country fried steak in many other restaurants, but here was by far the best I have ever had. Staff is very attentive, and friendly. We will definitely be back!

(Now Closed, but was a great diner.) Awesome Catfish platters! Come check out Clayton Cafe. On 39 north of Belleville. Great breakfast place to get great food and catch-up on the local gossip. Unfortunately they are now Closed as of 10/13/2023 * there Is a new Diner at 39 & 40

Great food. Great service. Kudos to the "chef". We used to go when a previous owner had it. It was good them too! Meatloaf was delicious. I had more than I should have eaten! My honey had chicken fried steak and could only eat one. His was delicious too. Don't know how many owners there have been, but I will vouch for two. Glad we stopped!! We're planning to go back!!!

Really good food and service. Fillets were larger than I have had in other restaurants so only got 4 for all you can eat on Friday plus baked potato and slaw. Will definitely return.

The food was delicious, and the service was good. It was packed since it was Friday night (all-you-can-eat catfish), but to me that's a testament to the quality of the restaurant. We'll go back, for sure!

One of the best in Hendricks County! Even if the owner is a little ornery :) Great quality food! I love that they try to make as many things from scratch as possible. Keep up the great work Clayton Cafe!

It's been awhile since I ate there, because it's quite a drive for me. But I had breakfast there with several friends, and it was delicious! Everyone loved their food and coffee. Service was great! Very friendly, quick service. I'll be back!

I dont often eat at the cafe anymore, due to poor quality and high prices.....however, I stopped tonight to get some chicken, on the special board was "Brisket Sandwich", I ordered this, to go. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!! AMAZING!! And the price was on point. Good job Clayton Cafe!

Fantastic, our daughter and her family had us meet them at 3 PM. It was all you can eat Catfish, everyone got full, the service was very good,
