My stay at Bitterroot River Ranch, owned by Lynn and Dorothy, was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome and the picturesque surroundings made us feel right at home. We initially planned a two-day visit, but the serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere convinced us to extend our stay for another day.

Every morning greeted us with a sumptuous homemade breakfast that truly set the tone for the day. Lynn and Dorothy's attention to detail was evident in every corner of the house – from the cozy bedrooms to the thoughtfully designed common areas. The rustic charm blended seamlessly with modern amenities, creating an ambiance that radiated comfort and coziness.

The highlight of the ranch was undoubtedly the breathtaking scenery that enveloped us. With stunning landscapes that beckoned exploration, it was impossible to resist the allure of horseback riding through the scenic trails or casting a line into the river for a relaxing fishing session.

This stay for my wife and I was so relaxing. Lynn and Dorothy will make you feel like you are part of the family. The breakfasts are phenomenal. They add a personal touch that will make you feel welcomed and give you space to enjoy not only the surrounding communities, but even a leisurely stroll on the beautiful property. An Amazing trip for 2 best friends for 30 years and a 70th Birthday celebration. Dorothy and Lynn were the best hosts, we felt like we had time to ourselves, but still able to get first-hand experience from them of the places to go which saved us a lot of time and effort. The scenery is indescribable except to say it is a 360 experience and hard to capture all in one picture. For 2 ladies we felt very safe, great place for partners, and even if you just want to fish and eat good. Thanks for making our memories the best for Montana.

Our experience was impeccable! We stayed in the ranch, that is a 30 min drive to the Lost Trail Ski Area, to relax and enjoy the winter weather after ski practices. Staying at the Ranch made out ski trip even more fantastic. The owners were so much welcoming and made us feel like home all the time. Breakfast was delicious, everything home made, and when we returned from ski, there were always some just baked cookies waiting for us! It was great to get to know Dorothy, Lynn and Max. We made good friends and had some very pleasant talks during the stay. Now we need to get back during the summer which must be a totally different experience! The Ranch is charming and extremely comfortable. We took many pictures to remember the extraordinary days we had in Bitterroot River Ranch! Almost forgot, the hot tube was an excellent option to relax and recover after many falls skiing.

Lynn and Dorothy are the best hosts and genuinely enjoy getting to know their guests! I cannot wait to book this again in the future. Montana hospitality at it's finest!

You can’t ask for a better B&B thanThe Bitterroot River Ranch. The accommodations are spectacular as are the views. The main house is awesome, a true Montana Lodge with a beautiful stone fireplace. The hosts and the home cooked breakfast are delightful. Enjoy your stay, you will be treated like family.

We enjoyed our host’s hospitality as well as the captivating scenery surrounding the beautiful log home. Dorothy prepares scrumptious breakfasts with fresh ingredients and husband Lynn works the land if hay is in season. Definitely the BEST B&B we have ever visited!

What a truly amazing experience! The home and land surrounding are insanely beautiful, the pictures don't truly relay the beauty. Lynn and Dorothy do incredible job making you feel like one of the family. The breakfasts are the best we have ever had too! The Bitterroot River Ranch is the best bed & breakfast in the valley! The hosts are warm and friendly and offer numerous suggestions of things to do and see. The property is gorgeous and luxurious, and the breakfasts are spectacular! Dorothy is an amazing cook and always has more delicious food than you can eat. We just visited the week before Christmas and it was a winter wonderland—like something you’d see on TV. If you are going to the Bitterroot Valley, don’t miss this gem!

From the moment of arrival I knew I’d found the right place. My first visit to the Bitterroot and to Lynn + Dorothy’s home but certainly not my last.
Their BnB was planned for convenience and comfort down to the final detail. I stayed in the safari room which overlooked the horses and the barn. Loved this space and the incredible private bathroom amenities they included.
Make sure you get up for breakfast. The friendly discussions, daily recommendations and FOOD are not to be missed.

Dorothy and Lynn were wonderful hosts and their Bed & Breakfast was lovely! Our room was so comfortable and they've thought of everything a traveler needs including having all the current charging cords and plugs! And, the views are superb! The best part was waking up to a delicious breakfast every morning that Dorothy had made.

As our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast, Dorothy and Lynn really set the bar high! They did an amazing job making us feel welcome and at home from the second we walked through the door. The room was perfect, and just what we needed to relax. Breakfast was delicious and couldn’t have been more perfect! And homemade cookies in the evening.... wow! Dorothy and Lynn were very helpful with dinner suggestions to the best fishing areas. We will definitely stay again!

This bed and breakfast is beyond expectations right from the start- we were greeted with a smile and shown around the house and to our room where there was fresh zucchini bread waiting for us. Our host Dorothy is very great at recommending dinner places and different things to do. We drove up to Painted Rock as suggested and it was beautiful. Montana does not disappoint and neither does this outstanding bed and breakfast- Oh the breakfast.. outstanding! It is a must stay- forever grateful we had the opportunity to meet Dorothy and to stay in her home. Thank you!

Dorothy and Lynn's home was absolutely wonderful! From the warm greeting to amazing breakfasts and scenery around the ranch. We had a great time visiting the surrounding areas and towns. We highly recommend staying at the ranch and hope to be back some day.

I just lived my own Hallmark Movie!!
Lynn and Dorothy are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet!! We stayed in the Safari Room for 8 nights and it was like a home away from home. Dorothy cooked the most amazing breakfasts and we never left the table hungry. We met new friends, of which we will stay in touch with. We even heard 2 elk bugle while we were in the hot tub one night. The show, Yellowstone was filming while we were there and two of our friends met Kevin Costner!! Lynn and Dorothy will not be forgotten and will forever be an extended part of our family!!! We hope to come back again!!
