The Freezer Cafe

As an out of towner just passing through on the way home, it's always fun to pop in a local place when you don't know where you're at. The Freezer Cafe was this spot for me - from the moment I walked in I knew it would be a charming experience and it was! Sat at the counter and the staff was exceedingly friendly - didn't wait long at all to get ordered, didn't wait long to get served... all on a busy Sunday morning, too! The food was excellent, very reasonably priced, and the staff was very attentive to needs for refills and quality of the meal. Looking for an excuse to go through Tell City again just so we can stop here another time.

The Freezer Cafe is an outstanding representation of everything you would expect from a small town Indiana Diner. Good food, service, family atmosphere and price. Additionally, the Freezer continues to offer counter service which serves as a major draw for me.

Nice little cafe could not believe the price of breakfast. Coffee was great bacon good with large portions.

Maggie enjoyed her snowman pancakes from the waitress attending to our table. She was a joy to have and knew how to keep us entertained.

The freezer Cafe is a historical landmark for me. It has been in bussiness since the 50s and is a small little diner. The food is good,cheap,and usually quick. The service is great and the atmosphere is homey. My dad took me there as a kid, I took my boys, and I continue eating there a few times a week. We use to sit in the back and listen to the jukebox as kids. That is gone now but the memories remain

First time I have ever been here and was pleased with everything! I met the new owner who was ready to listen to any ideas on improving the business, which is great!! I liked it because it was just like one of the old time cafes. You know... where everyone knows your name 😉. Give it a try. I bet you will enjoy it, too.

The price is very low you can go there and step.back in time people talk to you at the food bar they do need more employees the ones that were there were over worked ...

The freezer restaurant is a excellent place to go eat at. Good home cooked meals and everything was made the way that we ordered it. Would go there again.

Great coffee. It's the common hometown place for a good breakfast and coffee. Nothing fancy and doubt fancy people would enjoy it.
Very good service. If your nice you might even find good conversation.
Nothing intimidating from the menu just good common cooking.

The service is outstanding. They are on point with making sure you're okay and have everything you need or want! Not to mention the food, it's like you're in your own home! Definitely feels like family

I love this little restaurant! I always get breakfast and they never disappoint! They have the absolute best coffee ever!It's my number one go to for breakfast anytime of the day.

The food is amazing, I've been coming to the Freezer since I was about 5 everything is just as it was when I was a kid I was taking here as a child and now I am taking my children here and they can't get enough of their pancakes.

Great food, fair prices, didn't leave hungry! Service was slow, but they were very busy. Very cozy.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It is definitely a great place to sit down and have and eat for a more than fair price. The food is great! I will definitely be coming back more!
