Bob's Wild Horse Tours

My fiance and I had an amazing time on Bobs wild horse tours. Steve, our driver, was super knowledgeable not just about the horses, but the history of the island and sand banks. The ride is a bit bumpy, but honestly well with the $54 a head. We got to sit in the front row. Excellent views, and you don't go faster than 35 mph. We saw over a dozen horses, some of the dunes, beach, and just grazing in people's yards.

Sheila was an excellent guide (former park ranger) and really knows everything about Corolla and the horses.

I was expecting to see an empty beach with herds running free along the beach, probably from something I’ve seen in movies. In reality I saw horses standing in the dunes along the beach and behind the dunes in a neighborhood. I had no idea there was a neighborhood behind the dunes. The horses literally have the freedom to go anywhere, including carports.

You can drive yourself on the beach if you own a 4-wheel drive. However I highly recommend that you take this tour because they have the history and the story. I noticed that all your guides are in constant communication about where the horses are, so everyone gets plenty of picture opportunities.

Enjoyed our tour with Karen. Saw several harems and a lone family of horses on the beach and more among the houses in the dunes. Learned some historical information about the horses and the area.

One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! Our tour guide Karen was absolutely wonderful and full of knowledge. I lost count of how many wild horses we saw (30+) and seeing some of the baby horses was amazing. The ride on the beach was a fun experience as well. Highly recommend all around!

Great trip. We got close to many horses without annoying them. Yes, we are the pests in their environment. Great scenery only available 4x4. Karen was knowledgeable and accommodating. Grampa and grandkids approved

This was an exciting adventure. Searching for the horses was pretty neat. I never imagined that it would be true off road adventure. We saw about 20 horses in the few.hour trip.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. He knew.allnof the spots to go check. The ride there and back was smooth. It was best when he drove on the low tide beach, it was much faster.

The scenery was beautiful. There were a number of very nice houses along the way. They even have a post office up in this secluded area.

Make sure you book early and either take an early morning or later in the day trip. It can get very hot during the middle of the day. There is plenty of parking.

Enjoyed the 2 hour tour. Guide was great, worked hard to fid horses. The ride along the beach was pleasant. Overall, a good morning. Would do it again.

Enjoyed our third trip in 4 years with this tour. We really enjoy this, the ride, scenery, horses here in Corolla, NC. Saw 23 horses this trip on our 2 hour tour.

This tour was amazing! Worth the drive from Nags Head and we'll worth the price. We saw many horses and even got to learn about their names and history.

Great tour. Be sure to use the bathroom before you go and do not drink water! 😂 2 hours on bumpy dunes looking for the wild horses (not VA ponies!)

Had a great time today on this tour. Our guide, Kyle, was knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. He obviously cared very much about doing a great job to make it fun for the group, but also cares for the welfare of the horses and the conservation of the species. He knew where to find the horses, and the best spots to see them. As well as the different groups.

I would definitely recommend this tour company, and will make sure I utilize it again. Oh, and we saw lots of horses and they were absolutely gorgeous. Great experience for the whole family.

Our 1st tour got cut short due to lightening and they called US to reschedule, never has that happened before! Great experience BOTH times and would 100% recommend. Both our guides were friendly and informative.

Great experience! Saw a whole bunch of horses. We had thought about trying to drive out to the beach ourselves and try our luck. Having seen the beach conditions, I'm glad we rode along instead of driving ourselves. I would avoid the rear row of seats at all costs, unless you like to get airborne!

This was our first time down on the beach of Corolla. What a great experience! We saw plenty of horses and was amazed by the number and size of the houses that are only accessible by the beach! Our guide was courteous and very knowledgeable! We will definitely go again!

The tour is amazing. Herb was a great tour guide. The ride is bumpy so be prepared. Of course to see the horses, there’s only one way in. So a bumpy ride is expected. Great value. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

The tour was a really amazing experience for us. Our driver, Kyle, was very knowledgeable and helpful on the tour. He knows the movements and habits of the horses and allows plenty of time for pictures. We have already recommended to others who are planning to visit Corolla soon.
