This is a true authentic super delicious southern diner. Prices are on point and the food is excellent 👌🏼. The biscuits and gravy are top notch, the hashbrowns are so good and the bacon 🥓 and sausage are perfect. The eggs were cooked to perfection featuring a robust flavor of heavenly bliss. I highly recommend stopping in and getting a hearty meal before your beach adventure. I promise you and the family will not regret it. Parking can be a pain as there is limited street parking in front of the diner, but it is well worth any kind of wait you may experience. We didn't have to wait long for the record, but if you do it's worth it. This food is cooked to order so it comes out hot and fresh!
Don't forget to tip your waitress they bust their rears providing excellent service and quality dining 😎

The place was very busy. To us, this means good food. And we were not disappointed. Our food arrived quickly. The portions were larger than expected, and the taste was very good. Our waitress was friendly and made sure everything was how we liked it.

I seriously don't know what took me so long to finally dine at the Bakery Cafe in Aransas Pass. This place was established in 1929!!! Our waitress was so nice and they seem to have plenty of workers! The place is very well kept!

We went old school. We started off with an order of basic nachos...refried beans with melted cheese on top of light crispy corn tortillas and an order of beer battered onion rings!! Both were delicious! The onion rings were full of flavor, light, crunchy and sweet. Mom ordered herself a simple bowl of delicious chili and I ordered a Homemade cheeseburger with fries! Everything met our expectations! Been a long time since I've enjoyed a true original homemade cheeseburger! Slice of apple pie for later!

This place is an icon for Aransas Pass. We don't mind the atmosphere of the 60's with the counter and the stools. The food is always good. They are always nice and you can't beat the price. We always sit in a booth and never go that we don't see a friend or two.

Opened since 1929! Always have great experiences here, been coming here for many years! Right across from H‑E‑B in Aransas Pass, cross the Ferry ⛴ your here. Best homemade food! They have specials daily. I order the whiting fried fish, add 3 jumbo shrimps, mashed potatoes, fried orca and fresh fries! Carbed it up. Always fresh and hot food. My friend got hot roast beef sandwich! Whatever you get here I assure you it’s always worth a cheat! Very short staff so be patient with them, because they are all so sweet and kind!! ❤🙌🏼❤ ty so much for your consistency ✌🏻☮🥰☀

We were on vacation the week of December 13th. My husband and my son and I went there for breakfast and of course everything was really really good. A couple days later we went back for lunch. I was very unhappy. I got grilled fish two little pieces, mashed potatoes with gravy they were instant I was actually hoping for real mashed potatoes, and coleslaw which was in a container and had like a tablespoon Maybe. My son got the grilled fish also same amount, a salad which was good, and also coleslaw that had like a tablespoon or so in it. It's really disappointed me because everything was good before. I had never eaten lunch there before probably not again.

We were staying at Port Aransas but I saw reviews for this restaurant online. I am so glad I found this place. It was so worth the ferry ride and little drive to get there. We had breakfast both times and it was excellent. I can't wait to go back so we can try lunch or supper. All the employees were so nice. They kept coming around to see if we needed anything else. My husband and I were both well pleased. The food was amazing and I'm not really a breakfast person. But I had the pancakes and sausage one day and the Omelette that had everything in it. It was so good. I recommend this place to everybody. Can't wait to go back there!

Very good homestyle cooking in a classic cafe atmosphere with friendly service.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. We'll worth a hungry visitors stop.

I've been fishing the Port A area for any years. I just learned about this place today. Tucked into the strip across from HEB, this little diner is outstanding. Had a wonderful, and VERY filling, breakfast. Very polite, and efficient, staff; excellent food. I will definitely be a repeat customer to this little gem.

This was our first visit to Bakery Cafe but it won’t be our last. Everyone was very friendly and the history on the wall was fun to read/view. The service and food was amazing! Great price for the food too!

I came for breakfast. The food was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but understandable because they were busy. The wait staff was friendly. On the way out I was able to view the lunch plates, they also looked tasty. It is definitely a home style, comfort food, type of place.

We ordered the grilled shrimp salad, French toast, jalapeño poppers, chicken steak chicken and bread pudding. The atmosphere was warming but the seats need some stitching lol. The host was new but she tried her best. The server was kind, patient, well mannered and checked if everything was ok. The shrimp was not grilled but boiled which was ok. It had plenty of shrimp which was great. I also got plenty of ranch dressing which was great. The jalapeño poppers were delicious and big. The French toast was good and so was the chicken fried steak was good too. I wished the bread pudding was warm and not cold. The coffee creamers were old and that was a bummer. I also wished the server asked if I wanted more coffee which I normally do. Overall, I would return for the poppers. That was the winner. Oh and the French toast.

Food was great! And service was too, it has a local hometown diner feel to it. My family ordered the huevos rancheros, French toast and pancake breakfast, which we all devoured. We’d love to return on our next visit to Port A.
