Johnson's Giant Food

As seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Jay showed an newspaper advertisement that showed pic of the store with the signage reading, "Giant Johnson's Food."
Johnson's is great local grocery store with the best meat department in the area. Very clean store. They usually have more cashiers at the registers than needed, meaning you rarely have more than one person in line ahead of you. Management does a great job keeping registers open.
The deli is also great...good food, large portions & variety, delicious desserts, friendly/helpful staff, good prices.
Security guard at night is also a plus.

They have really great customer service and employees great deals on food. The store is very very clean. Once again, I got to give a shout out to the cashier. They were nice friendly and didn’t mind holding the conversation with you the life of the store I called them

This is where we buy our groceries but this review is about the little spicy BBQ sandwich with the huge spicy BBQ taste.
This is great BBQ, warm soft bun is filled with tender shredded meat and soaked throughout with spicy sauce. Delicious.
They are premade and in the warmer with the other food.
Don’t mind the packaging, one is plenty for me but my husband has to have two. They are piping hot and travel home or to work nicely.
$2.50 or 2 for $5.00. Great for the price.

If you need to do shopping this is the place. Easy in and out from Hwy 431 and Hwy 278. Plenty of parking including handicap. Easy open in and out electric doors. A great place for good meats and veggies. There's other stores there if your other half doesn't want to shop along with you or sit and wait.

One of my favorite places to travel to and buy fresh meats a nice family atmosphere. Staff is always courteous and they never hesitate to acknowledge their regulars. Deli is a major PLUS to store! Ribs are some of the best and their Wings are cheaper and far better than Jefferson's.

This is hands down an awesome grocery store! I was a little skeptical a first from the appearance on the outside, but boy was my first impression wrong! It is extremely cleaned and very well organized! Huge selection of everything they keep stocked on the aisles! The produce section was very fresh, well maintained, clean and huge selections! If you're in Gadsden or passing through like us, don't pass this great grocery up!

Always clean and stocked. Meats are fresh and so are the fruits and vegetables. The deli servers good,hot food. The staff is always friendly and will go out of the way to help you. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Always love shopping here. Prices are competitive but their customer service and store cleanliness sets them above the rest and they always seem to have adequate staffing.

The people here are really nice and very friendly. I love their customer service, which is always excellent. It's nice to have baggers who will take your groceries to your car if you have mobility issues. They care a lot about the overall shopping experience of their customers and it shows in every aspect of their shoppers' visits.

Johnson. Giant Foods has several convenient locations. All locations are clean and well stocked. Their food bar is such a blessing after a hard day at work.

Best grocery store hands down!! Family owned and super nice employees!! Best meat and produce in town! If you ever need fruit or veggies for a wedding or baby shower, you can’t go wrong with letting them do it for you! Worth every penny!! We love our Johnson family and shopping at Johnson’s!

I love Johnson's Giant Food, try their fabulous deli...they mark the prices in half after 7 pm then you can buy these great smoked meats, smoked chicken, ribs, chicken pot pie, catfish, vegetables, speghetti, deserts, potatoe salad, etc. with your EBT since now it's cold deli and half price.
They are open until 9 pm.

Nice folks, right down the street. Good selection. Really nice hot deli bar Would love to have grass fed/finished beef and some more gluten/dairy free choices.

They work hard to keep an old store like this so clean. The lights all work and the floor is well taken care of. Stock is obviously taken care of regularly. The hot bar lunch was pretty dang good. Parking lot was pretty busy but easy to park in. Shopping carts were clean and not broken. Prices are decent.

This is the cleanest store and wonderfully organized...Prices are higher than say a Walmart or Kroger...But worth shopping there...

Clean, organized store. Had all the products I needed. The cashier was sweet and efficient.
