LANIER HOUSE

The Lanier House is my favorite place in Huntsville. The atmosphere, service, and treats are top notch. Every month, they have a new theme with treats and a paired tea that matches the theme. I love to take my husband once a month on a date to try everything new! When you go, come hungry! You will be filled to the brim with yummy things.

The staff does a great job explaining the pairing and when to take cream with your tea. Arrive 15 minutes early - at your reservation time the door will open and the host will direct you to the appropriate table where the staff will bring out the goodies all at once. Make sure to come on time! The website is very helpful and will show you the menu of the month :)

The ladies of my family had a girls' day out here. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the experience! The tea was paired to perfection with the courses and our server was excellent.

Their website wonderfully explains what to expect and posts the menu for the month. Children under five aren't allowed, which is understandable considering the delicate nature of an actual afternoon tea. My five year old niece was with us. She liked some parts, especially when she was brought her own personal savory plate. Other parts were a bit mature for her.

The rest of us had a blast, though! We have decided to make it a regular outing, even. Thanks to everyone at Lanier House for such a one of a kind experience.

We had a lovely experience! The atmosphere is pretty and the staff are friendly. The food is delicious and beautiful. And the tea is divine!

I took my grandma here for afternoon tea, and we had a fantastic time! The food was fantastic and they were so accommodating of dietary restrictions (vegetarian). The decor is adorable, and the service was outstanding. Each tea was delicious. What a gem, I will be taking my friends here in the future!

I had such a wonderful first time experience at this gorgeous tea room! I enjoyed every bite of food, especially the gingerbread scone. The staff members were so welcoming and gave us all the information we needed to enjoy our tea.

We had two different dietary restrictions, and the menu was perfectly altered to cater to our needs. I absolutely cannot wait to return to try next month’s menu!

Had an absolutely lovely time here! The staff were kind, the atmosphere enchanting, and the food and tea scrumptious. Even flavors I don’t normally enjoy ended up being some of my favorite items on the menu. If you are looking for a sweet time with friends or family, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

Loved it! I'm actually not a big tea person, I wanted to do it more for the experience, but it was so good! The food and pairings were amazing. Such a pretty decor and fun to take pictures in!

My only complaint, not really a complaint just more of warning for others who might be in a similar situation... my mother and grandmother met us there and I didn't realize the parking was kind of limited and a gravel lot. I would have warned them to get there earlier to get a spot at the building and make sure we could walk her in.

Edit to add after a second visit. Still amazing! I took my stepdaughter and a couple of her friends to tea. It was an experience as a Christmas present. They had a ball getting dressed up and all of that.

Loved this spot, and the tea and food was great! In my experience, this place is fantastic in the cooler months. For me… hot tea in the warmer months is a no go for me! But highly recommend this place!!! Their menu and tea changes every month too!

We love Lanier House! We come at least once a month to try the rotating menus (new tea and food each month). The service is kind and accommodating, the food and teas are delicious. Bring a friend or even just yourself for an hour and a half of a lovely time.

My sister brought my husband and I here while we visit for the holidays and enjoyed it so much. The menu and teas change out throughout the year. It is also such a photogenic place!

Absolutely incredible experience! I went with 3 coworkers who all had very strict dietary restrictions (gf, vegetarian, dairy free...etc) and the staff was very accomodating! I love that the menu can be made inclusive for people with dietary limitations for a small fee! The interior was beautiful and so charming! The photos do not do it justice!

I love supporting local businesses and women owned businesses in Huntsville so I’m thrilled to share this gem with you all. What a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday yesterday. This place opening in my birth month was definitely a gift in itself.

It’s conveniently located on Martin St in downtown Madison. If you live in OXR it’s about 30 mins away. I had the pleasure of meeting Tammy Hall’s daughter Reagan. She was an absolute delight to talk to and is getting ready to set sail for Taiwan for her higher studies. Tammy Hall also owns Main Street cafe on Main Street. If you haven’t tried that place yet, then you have to. It’s a wonderfully delicious restaurant.

Coming back to Lanier House, it is every girls dream and and every women’s fantasy. It like paying a visit to your fairy godmother’s house where you are the center of attention. They take good care of you and make you feel special. Peaceful ambience, enchanting decor, adorable velvety furnishings, nostalgic vintage china, aromatic tea ☕ and delicious tea trays. I loved everything about this place. I’m big on high tea and this place is exactly what I was longing for. So I’m extremely happy 😃

Let’s dig deep into the setting of Lanier house. You will be given a slot for 1 hr and 30 mins. Their first slot of the day is at 11am. So make sure you arrive 10 mins before your reservation starts. The menu is pre decided, depending on the number of people in your party, they will accordingly set your snacks. You will be served 3 teas which you will pair with your snacks in the tea trays. You work your way up, meaning you start at the bottom of the tray with your first tea. My favorite snack was indeed cucumber sandwiches, I love those suckers.

Great place for high tea or host private parties, baby shower or just a Tete-a-tete with your besties. You can easily seat around 30-35 people in the space. They take reservation for up to 5 hrs for private event. Check their website for details. You can also borrow high tea hats to step up the overall experience just like I did 🤩

I am definitely taking my out of state clients over there for a unique high tea experience. I can’t wait to go there for a second, third, fourth……nth time. I loved it & you will love it too! Reservation is highly recommended.

I absolutely did not want to go to a tea house, but I will now be at the tea house as often as possible. It's adorable, the tea is amazing (I don't like tea) the atmosphere is perfect and don't worry if you don't have a hat, they have some you can borrow for a photo op ❤

This is the most pleasant tea room I have ever experienced. Wonderful atmosphere, service, and food. A truly memorable afternoon.

Lovely tea house. The menu is pre set but was lovely, if somewhat carb laden. It is definitely a tea house, not just with notes of that experience. And it is a full on and lovely experience.The service was very nice. The decor is high tea plush. The only eh would be that it is a bit pricey. With tip it's about $28-30 per person. But I am definitely up for a second trip :)

This is the cutest little tea house!! It’s perfect for Madison, AL! The tea and pastries are delicious, the atmosphere is cozy and the service is excellent! Beautiful decor and a great location to meet up with friends or out of town guests. Reservations are required! Definitely check it out if you get the chance!

Best birthday ever ❤ What girl doesn't love a tea party eh?

A group of us went from work for a late Galentine’s Tea and it was delightful! One of the girls was very kind in explaining the different notes of the tea and recommending the best way to prepare them. The tea and bites got better and better with each course! I’m mad at myself that I’m just now visiting this tea house when I live so close! The one downside is that parking is a little tricky so come a little early and beware the gravel when picking your shoes. Otherwise… I’m looking forward to making a reservation and coming again soon!!

Thank you thank you - it’s so wonderful to have a proper tea room in Madison 🫖 The ambience is so warm and welcoming oh and the tower of goodies did not disappoint! The teas all paired with the food wonderfully and with notice they can cater to special dietary needs. I cannot say enough great things about Lanier House, we will be back!

Our Lanier Teahouse experience was absolutely incredible, perfect and amazing !! The servers were lovely ladies and so attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeous. Every time I think back to being there I smile, I just loved it!
