I was shocked to find food this good, on a random avenue in the small town of June Lake. I’m from San Diego and my standards for tacos/chips are high, but this place knocked it out of the park. The service was kind and efficient; my order was ready quickly; and the food was excellent. I had carne asada and al pastor tacos with a side of chips and salsa. All of it was delicious, the Al pastor was my favorite. The chips were so fresh and stayed crunchy for multiple days, which was very impressive. Highly recommend this spot! I would just suggest turning the music down a tiny bit, the mariachis were a lil overwhelming when I first walked in 😂

The couple that runs this place are super friendly, the restaurant has a homey, small town feel. The food is outstanding, clearly homemade, and not expensive. I had the Asada tacos and they were delicious. I really appreciated the homemade refried beans. Also the complimentary salsa and chips were fire!!

This place is absolutely fantastic. Service was prompt and polite, and the gentleman who owns the restaurant provided our party with useful suggestions. We barely sat without food; a minute after we ordered, we were brought a heaping pile of house-made tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa (on the house). Ten minutes later our food arrived. Fresh, authentic, and delicious.

This place is a GEM in the Eastern Sierra. It's hard to find quality Mexican food in this part of California, and Balanced Rock really does it. The food is authentic and delicious, the prices are reasonable for the area, and the staff are friendly. If you're spending time in June Lake, or even passing through, this place is worth it. My new favorite restaurant on the East Side.

This place is wonderful. Amazing homemade food, great service, and atmosphere. Been here numerous times and it’s always a great experience. I would absolutely recommend this place! Margarita’s are good too!

The best Mexican food in the Sierras and definitely absolutely the best in the loop the best margaritas and the best chili rellenos on the planet no other place to be when it comes to Mexican food anywhere in the Sierras and did I mention the margaritas OMG the best

The Chile Relleno was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been eating Mexican food for nearly 60 years. I paired it with a carnitas taco and Bohemia. Service is friendly and welcoming too.

The food is awesome. Chile Relleno plate is must have here.. something different and tasty. The June Mex drink is recommended for people who love cocktails with fruity flavors. Also like the cheesecake. Service is good and restrooms are super clean. Overall must visit when in June lake.

Literally the best tortilla chips on the planet! They are home made, thick (but not too thick) and crispy. Staff is really nice too!

Ordered take out here while in town visiting June lake. Service was very friendly, food was AMAZING. Easily the best burrito I have ever had, hands down. Portions were generous, can’t go wrong getting your meal here.

Delicious foooood, they were out of the chile relleno, but the taco plater was soooo bomb. The first rounds of chips and salsa is on the house 🔥. A must to visit if you are in June Lake.

We were happy to see this new restaurant in June Lake. It’s such a small town it’s nice to have a new one. It’s a Mexican restaurant and thought the food was good. I believe the name is different than what’s listed? They will be doing more renovations in the near future. They will be opening up the back of the restaurant, adding an outdoor patio that will show a great view.

Bring your stunt stomach! This place delivered on every level. Housemade chile rellanos were the bomb and my hubs burrito was big enough for a family of 3! Our server was quick and friendly and made the meal a pleasure. We are up here several times a year and will be making it a regular spot for good eats!
