Sunflower Club Cafe & Outreach

I found my new guilty pleasure! This cafe has a cheerful, eclectic vibe. I immediately felt like I was welcome there. From the art on the wall to the board games on the shelf, it felt like a place I could just be for awhile.

We had the Bacon Egg and Cheese and the Miss American Pie waffles, along with a caramel, sugar-free latte and a vanilla macchiato. Waffles are their staple. Very good food and the presentation was lovely.

I adore this eclectic little gem in Mint Hill, NC! The Gluten Free Waffles with egg or chicken salads are my go-to for lunch! This place is also a hub for non-profits, being a non-profit organization that helps the community by providing a range of needs! There's a tiny food closet on the porch, which they try to keep full of allergy-friendly foods as well as toiletry items.

We are gluten free by a healthier choice and this place did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. Amy was very kind and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this little hidden gem if you don't want to sacrifice the taste and would like to stay away from the gluten.

Finally, a place dedicated to being as allergen-friendly as possible! All the baked goods and waffles are GF (and taste amazing - in Mint Hill! Even my family, who isn't GF, loved everything they had)...and vegan options (which tastes good!) are available for cheese as well as coffee! Artisen Gelato (DF, vegan from Matthews) is also available here! Yum!

Love the ambiance and way space is sought to be utilized. Very clean, as well! Local artists work available to enjoy and even purchase, as well as great local finds.

Love the focus of this small cafe, and owner's vision. It carries a big impact! I'm eager to make this little spot a regular for our family.

Great chicken salad waffle and conversation!

A fun little place to meet for a latte and waffle. Everything is gluten free and some vegan options as well. There are only three tables inside but one was available without a wait.

Amazing hidden gem in mint hill. Fantastic coffee, pastries, and incredible waffles in a very cozy and beautiful setting!! The things they do for the community are incredible! Support small local businesses!!

First I did not know that it was nonprofit until the end when I handed the lady (sorry forgot her name) behind the counter the tip and she proceeded to put it into the box on the counter and I inquired, which truly made me happy to have chosen this location for breakfast. The cafe is the cutest, cozy, and inviting establishment that smelled amazing. It is filled with artwork, jewelry, & paintings. There is a beautiful welcoming woman cooking and serving great food and coffee. I choose the B.E.C and my friend the waffle. When it came my mouth watered and my tastebuds awakened! We were not disappointed:) Freshly made and nicely served (see pics).
I don't live in the area but if I did I would definitely make it a regular stop.

Healthful serving of incredible Gelato on top of their homemade waffle. Waffle was crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle...work of art.

The espresso pour over balanced out the sweetness and melded all elements together elegantly.

Great for breakfast, brunch, or just coffee! The waffles are fluffy and delicious. You bite into fluffy goodness and chase it down with silky smooth coffee from the local bean roaster “Sugar Creek”. Very good cozy place!

The Sunflower Cafe never fails to deliver fresh, delicious and amazing food, every single time I visit! Their creative dishes, like the BLT waffle and seasonal flavored waffles are off the charts delicious! I also love the un-ending variety of coffees and flavors they offer, including my favorite, CBD coffee! It’s just the right amount of energy and chill, in one cup!

Their portions are generous and you can tell every thing they make is with love!

I HIGHLY recommend The Sunflower Cafe! You won’t be disappointed, I promise! Sarah, Amy and all of the staff really make you feel welcome and continue to deliver exactly what I’m craving each time I visit!! Thank you, Sunflower Cafe and I will see you again soon!!

A great place for coffee, waffles, breakfast, and deserts. Very gluten friendly!

Cute little spot! Friendly staff! Coffee was good! Well lit & clean! Great location with plenty to do after you grab a cup! (For my Pogo players, there is a Pokemon gym here)

Unique decor from local artists. Super friendly staff. And the egg salad/waffle combo with aioli dressing was delicious!

My daughters and I had the pleasure of meeting Amy and Sarah while enjoying the most delicious carrot cake and cupcakes (and cappuccino of course) while surrounded by beautiful artwork and warm smiles! We were welcomed with open arms and treated like a part of the family. We stayed a while and enjoyed conversations with other patrons and felt right at home. An experience you won’t get at most other cafe’s. I look forward to spending some more weekends there and trying something new each visit. Btw, my daughter (an aspiring baker), who had never tried carrot cake before, has not stopped raving about it since! 🙂

My coworker and I stopped in to Sunflower 🌻 today while visiting another business in Mint Hill. The owners were super friendly and they offer a great variety of coffee & tea as well as fresh waffles and pastries. I will definitely be back soon and am excited to share this business with my family and neighbors!
