Seldom Rest Farm

Hands down the most well taken care of Christmas trees I have ever seen. The tree farm is ran and operated by an older couple. The sweetest people ever! Their trees are trimmed beautifully and they don't paint a single one of their trees like most tree farms do. The prices are awesome!! 8feet and under $60 or more than 8ft $90 no matter if you picked a concolor fir, Frazier fir, blue spruce, etc... the prices are the same across the board. All of the trees are healthy and beautiful!

We went today to get our Christmas tree and we will be back next year! The gentleman who takes care of his tree does a wonderful year round job doing so. Please don't knock the prices! Your tree is worth it

We have been coming to this tree farm for at least 15 years- it’s a family tradition at this point! They have always been so kind and helpful and we always come home with a BEAUTIFUL tree!

Today was our first time going. We will go back next year for sure! Owners are very nice. I think that price is reasonable. We got a 11ft beautiful tree from their property and love having it up in our joke. Lots of different options to choose from.

My family has come here for many years. Great experience, trees, and people… but sadly the prices have just become unreasonable. This year we went to Williams Tree Farm instead, which is just a few miles away over on 3523 Peters Rd. We had a great experience there and paid just $35 for our tree instead of $110 at Seldom Rest Farm.

I hate leaving this review but this needs to be known to the owners and everyone else. I called and talked to the lady twice because we were looking for an 8 foot (or larger) concolor fir. She let me know that they had several pre-cut in the lot and many more out in the field ready to be cut. I was happy to hear this because concolor fir trees are hard to find. We arrive after an hour drive and are greeted by her. She instructs us to look in the lot and if we don't find what we are looking for to drive out back and meet her husband. We walk over to the lot and find one small concolor tree. No bid deal, we like cutting them ourself anyway. We drive out back and meet her husband. He directs us to where they are located and send us on our way. We walked around and only found small (maybe up to 7 foot and skinny) trees. We talked to the man and he says that's all they have. OK, fine. The white pines looked larger and fit more of what we were looking for. We selected a tree and he came over to measure it. Measures it out at 9 feet and quotes us $130.00!!! We were running out of time and this was our last day off from work so we just cut it and threw it in his trailer. He drove his buggy up to our truck. No shaking or wrapping. We get home and get ready to prep our tree to bring inside. I get my tape measure out and measure a 7 1/2 foot tree. For the $130.00 this really irritated me. They assured me they had everything I was looking for, made me overpay for a tree, and don't have shaking or wrapping. On the positive side, the couple were VERY friendly and have a nice little farm setting.

I have no Complaints as to the quality of the tree it is a nice tree and looks great in our home. My complaint is being charged $80 for an eight foot tree that is not 8 ft. I made sure it wasn't 8 feet (which is still $60 for under 8 ft) before cutting it down, but the guy helping insisted that it was an 8 foot tree. I didn't think I needed to bring a tape measure and I wasn't going to start arguing with my kid with me. Merry Christmas Seldom Rest Farm, but with that being said I will not be going back ($80 for a tree is too much).

To bad you can’t give a negative review. Prices are higher than Menards. I live in the area tried him for the first/last time. Don’t waste your time and gas.

If leaving zero stars was an option, I would. Incredibly over priced and incredibly rude. Go somewhere (ANYWHERE) else.
