A wonderful addition to Farmington. Great decor and service and an airy ambiance. The coffee is fantastic and better than Starbucks! The food was incredible, they give a huge wedge of apple pie. Highly recommended.

The new coffee shop has a lovely atmophere and fluffy, dense croissants perfect for filling up on your way to work.

Their flat white has a very good balance and their black coffee has a free refill.
⭐ Food
The croissants are the most filling in all of downtown Farmington Hills. Not as flaky as some other coffee houses once warmed, but certainly satisfying to bite into. Many of their baked items are house-made!
⭐ Staff
The baristas and owner are friendly, and may check in to make sure you are enjoying your lounge-time and breakfast.
⭐ Cost
The cost is fair depending on the item and most are better than other coffee houses nearby. Their croissant being one in particular I am most happy with; just a little over $4 for buttery goodness.
⭐ Atmosphere
Mostly chairs, but also sofas and couch near entrance. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of gentle lighting with chandeliers. Artwork on every wall. Jewelry art displayed too. There is no music at this time.

Nice coffee place, I love the building it's absolutely beautiful, I got a chai latte with a slice of cherry pie and my friend got a hot coffee and blueberry muffin and everything was amazing. The art on the walls is beautiful as well, the only thing the place needs is some music!

Great food and coffee. Beautiful setting, and great staff. A little background music wouldn't hurt bit otherwise it's a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee. And the sticky buns...phenomenal

Excellent coffee, great vibes, pleasant staff and owner. Great New coffee hub for the Farmington area. Highly recommend. I sampled some of the desserts with the family and I particularly enjoyed the scone and cheesecake! 😛

First time here! The interior feels and looks bigger than the outside with relaxing atmosphere and nice artwork throughout.
Staff and management was kind, helpful and made a great latte. The Pecan Sticky bun is delicious!

Just delightful. The homemade syrups and pastries are a great touch. We will be back.

Blue hat coffee is an incredible coffee house, on the inside of an old brick Freemason meeting house. The inside is cute and cozy lovely Light fixtures and paintings and plenty of space to sit in small and large groups.The Employees are extremely helpful, and nice, willing to answer any question you ask. Everything is made in house Scones, Cakes, and Pies, even the Syrups are made in house! The homemade syrups have a wide diversity! Obviously the dessert and coffee were delicious. Plenty of parking available. Would definitely recommend!!

My new favorite Farmington coffee shop. They have the best molasses cookies, and the atmosphere is wonderful for writing. 💓I love the quiet atmosphere.

The Blue Hat Coffee Shop is located in the historic Masonic Temple Building. What a great addition to downtown Farmington. My first visit felt like a mini vacation. Quality selections baked on site. Friendly staff. Looking forward to enjoying my favorite coffee choice under the BLUE umbrellas.

Nice new coffee place in downtown Farmington. The coffee is really good and the pastries are dangerously delicious. There is plenty of seating and good parking. The staff seem helpful, but I feel like I am interrupting their good time when approaching the counter.

Great pies, sandwiches, and of course, coffee. The staff are pleasant and the decor is very comfortable. Phillip, the owner, will come out in mingle, whenever he’s not food prepping. If you’re in Farmington Hills, it’s a great place to drop in.

Blue Hat is a charming coffee house with a bright seating area and colorful artwork for sale on the walls. I look forward to returning during the summer months when the outdoor patio is open.

Lovely spot with tables as well as big armchairs. The owners are delightful. Fresh roasted coffee is outstanding and tasty pastries to go with. Nice relaxed space in downtown Farmington.

Quiet coffee place, no distracting music which I always appreciate. Good & friendly service. The coffee is pretty good as well. I love old historical places and buildings. The inside of the building was just beautiful with some very comfortable furniture.

Great relaxing ambience! Friend n I lounged on the cozy oversized chairs and indulged in the best chai tea I’ve ever had, and munched on a delicious cinnamon bun! I took home a whole cherry pie and it was fabulous l! Chock full of fruit and delicious! I almost cried when it was gone. But I know I’ll be back!

the absolute best coffee in Farmington Hills. also love the cozy setting and seating! most coffee shops have hard chairs/ benches to sit on. all their chairs are padded and they have some nice lounge furniture to hang out on. super recommend 🙌

Staff super friendly. Coffee was excellent. Stopped in after picking my niece up at Metro in the way early hours. Great way to start the weekend.

This place has a warm and comfortable atmosphere the makes it easy to relax and unwind on a lazy Sunday morning. The coffee is excellent and the food is stellar. The service was quick and the employees were especially nice! I would definitely return here again!

Bought the Columbia decaf coffee for my espresso/cafe crema machine at home in the mornings. It has great flavor!

They have a breakfast ham/egg/cheese on English muffins sandwich on the menu that is very good. I was asked if I want it warmed up which to me is a must.
