This place was great and as busy as it gets!! We lucked up and got a table right away. As soon as a table left, they would clean it, and someone else would sit down!
The food was fantastic: I had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans. The Mrs tried the club sandwich with chips. The couple with us had the western omelet with home fries and liver and onions with mashed potatoes and green beans. The prices were very reasonable.

Popular restaurant!! Seats for about 80-100. Food and service were excellent.
Was absolutely worth the drive from St Mathew’s area!! Next time, breakfast for sure. Truly what I would call a diner!!
Back again. The chili and cheese omelette was excellent. I had a repeat of their battered in house and fried is so much better than most restaurants. Service is excellent. I upgraded to the biscuits & gravy!!!!
Crowded, but very friendly

We stopped in because the parking lot was full on a Saturday afternoon. The building was decorated in pink & black with really cool painted windows. Inside the restaurant there was a great atmosphere with most of the tables full & an awesome menu. We had the hand pattied big mouth burger & fries, chicken strips that appeared & tasted freshly battered. Served fast & hot! They had a TON of dessert options, we chose the coconut cream pie & banana pudding. Great wait staff❣ Wish this place was closer to home..

We have eaten here twice both times the food was excellent. It's becoming a favorite diner around Louisville a hidden gem.

Meat is better than what ya get at any waffle House or chain place. The eggs are cooked well. The pancakes are the best pancakes I had at any restaurant. I do like their biscuits and gravy. The staff is quick and pretty attentive. This has small town vibes in a populated area. It's the perfect spot for some quick grub.

This is a fun and colorful little restaurant! The food is great and the service is excellent. Definitely worth giving it a try if you’re in the area.

The Country Fried Burger is INCREDIBLE. I was hesitant at first... If it doesn't meet my expectations I'll be so disappointed... Nope, I'm going for it. It was absolutely everything I hoped it could be, maybe more, and I was so glad I got one. It was overloaded with damn good gravy I was able to sop up with my fries. This burger is seriously good! Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle to boot.

I also got a fried mushroom appetizer that was excellent. I started to get a second order of the mushrooms they disappeared so fast, but then my gigantic burger arrived and I knew I'd be just fine.

The wife got the patty melt, which was so good she didn't share. The kids threw down on a quesadilla, hot dog, and fries. Everyone helped with the mushrooms. Everyone left full and happy.

We loved everything about Christie's Cafe. If we lived nearby we would eat here regularly. This week's adventure took us here and it was well worth the drive.

Heavy food, home style cooking! Great anytime, breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

I love their burgers, crispy 😍 on the outside and flavored right. Fried pickles and fried green tomatoes are a hit. Breakfast went over well with the whole family, especially french toast and their biscuits and gravy will fill you up.

Read reviews, and it did not disappoint. Country fried steak and gravy was excellent. Believe me I know on this choice. I have tried it all across the US and this is noteworthy. Most people cannot get the crust crispy enough with the white gravy and it ends up being soggy. This was perfect. I wanted hashbrowns but they had home fries. Surprising I actually really liked them. It's a very busy place. I also watched how they handled a bus load of elderly people today and it was awesome to see how they were patient and caring with them. Great place. Will definitely be back during my 3 month stay in Louisville.

Just a trucker passing thru when I noticed the diner had a large parking lot for me to fit in so I gave it a shot. Glad I made that decision. Staff was polite and the food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. If I'm ever passing this way again I'll definitely be back!

Our dinner was wonderful. Fast, friendly service from young people that actually work and get it right! The food was hot and fresh with large portions, reasonably priced and we didn't wait on refills! We'll definitely eat here again.

Wow this little cafe is definitely a hidden gem! The food is amazing, good country cooking. The Fried green tomatoes are omg SO SO GOOD. The burger that my boyfriend got was huge and he said it was delicious. Their sweet tea is perfect and it’s just a fantastic place the quality of the food is really good. Servers are always friendly and smiling. Thanks to all of you for your hard work the cooks, servers, the owners. Great spot great food and I was glad to spend my money for great delicious food!

Excellent hamburger salad. The portion size was huge, and the price was moderate. Wait staff were very responsive, friendly, and very good at their job. Hats off to all staff & the cooks. Great country fried steak and eggs . On 9/29/23, we ate here again. The BLT and onion rings were great. Wait, staff was excellent. The onion rings were some of the best I have had.

Always drove by and wondered what was going on here. Well after years of asking tonight I found out. This has got to be a hidden secret in KY. The best atmosphere, waitresses, Chef’s yes I said Chef. I am letting you know that this is a place you have to try at least once a week. I had the Beef liver and onions and they did not disappoint. The best I’ve had in years. Wife had the Dixie Bacon Burger and it was just like a hamburger should be. Large in charge and a little greasy. If you’ve read this you know I mean it when I say it’s the best. But get there early or you’ll have to wait. It’s worth it. Couple of before and after pics. And look how good it looks on the inside. See really cool jiving place to eat. It was my first time here but I would definitely return! Great family atmosphere, the staff was friendly and you could tell someone but a lot of love into this place to make it what it is. Every time I drive by here, it's busy! My granddaughters wanted to do a photo shoot with the papalooza horse outside before we left.

Low key diner with great burgers and great service. It gets busy around prime time of course. They have all day breakfast, burgers, sandwiches and platters. Our two (enormous) burger platters and drinks were about $32 before tip. Madison was an absolute gem, super sweet.

Note: there is a 4% service charge for card usage. We were happy to pay it. It was clear from the moment you walked in and not a surprise at the end of the meal.

We’ve always enjoyed Christy’s but OMG! THE CATERING! They have an extremely professional setup and have fed my plant of 70 people a couple times now. My team never wants pizza again.

They are all the sweetest people. Christy is very generous and will help anyone in need, if asked.
The food is just some good home cooking. If you haven't tried it, you should.

WoW it's a Truly Amazing Authentic 50's Type Diner Wonderful Delicious Food and Unbelievable Service . Everyone there was just Loving their food . Extremely Busy but efficient staff makes the wait go by much faster than a typical restaurant. Highly Recommend this Very Wonderful Authentic Diner .
