Once you're inside, it really feels like a trip back in time with the diner vibes. Loved it! The service is great and very fast. With big windows all across the front, it's a great spot to take a break and people watch, too!

The ice cream is delicious! They have a big dessert menu with tons of options and ways to customize your order. Prices are nice as well! Ordered the peanut butter ice cream milkshake, and it was perfect. So creamy and fantastic!

Can't wait to come back and try more flavors! If you're in Old Town, you gotta give Sugar Bowl a try - you won't be disappointed!

Ohhhh...you HAVE to try this pace ! On top of the nostalgia factor ( due to this place resembling an old style diner inside ), the ice cream was VERY good and the sundaes were completely customizable. I wish I'd have the opportunity to come back here again in order to try something else, but this one occasion will have to suffice. If you're in the mood for some really good ice cream, try stopping here -- you won't regret it !

I love a spot with history, and this is definitely a spot. Sugar Bowl has been around since 1958, so enter and get lost in time. It's an old-school ice cream parlor and also offers sandwiches, salads, burgers, and hotdogs, and the food is good. If you're in old town Scottsdale and it's one of those 3 digit temperature days, step inside, get out of the heat, and enjoy a bite to eat and delicious ice cream in an American Graffiti / Happy Days type setting. It's definitely worth a look.

You must visit when in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. AMAZING ice cream shop for fresh and creative treats, super creamy ice cream and open later for a quick after dinner sweet treat! Some of the best ice cream in the entire US. Everyone was very helpful and nice.

Cute ice cream spot our Uber driver told us to check out. Had a good ole fashion root beer float and a hot dog that was fried and the bun toasted. Cute atmosphere, Good customer service, and clean establishment with good treats and good eats.

It was a hot day in Old Scottsdale and we decided to get ice cream. What a perfect choice at Sugar Bowl. It had an old timey diner feel. The one scoop of ice cream was more than enough for an adult or a child. It had a small arcade, some of the machines were not working.

Loved this little ice cream shop! When you walk in it feels like you’re stepping back in time! It’s so quaint and vintage. We sat at the counter and service was quick and staff were friendly. Great ice cream options and shakes even ordered some food. You have to stop in when in your Old Town Scottsdale. It’s been around since 1958!

Every time I go to Scottsdale, I always make it a priority to stop at the Sugar Bowl. This is an nostalgic, iconic malt Shop known world wide! There's only one word I can say about the food and the ice cream, PERFECTION!

Great place! You must visit when in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Very friendly staff and efficient service. The food was outstanding. The desserts were amazing.

My elderly father accidentally spilled his double scoop cone while paying his bill. The gracious service staff had a replacement cone with the same flavors in less than 60 seconds without us even needing to ask or reorder. Incredible act of service you don't see very often anymore. Big kudos to the management and training staff who clearly had this well practiced. ❤

Very pretty in Pink aesthetics💕 I had a delicious pineapple and strawberry sundae, friendly service. It's busy at night, but it's definitely a good place to hang out with family and friends. There's also a small arcade room.

Some of the best ice cream in the entire US. Lovely 50’s style ice cream parlor with excellent service and food! Get the Oreo Hot fudge sundae or the dusty road sundae!

Great trip into the past of days gone by - have never been disappointed. Perfect place to appease your sweet tooth. The banana split is dessert for 3! Recommended place when in Old Town Scottsdale.

First time here! Roaming around Old Town Scottsdale after having a nice dinner we were in the mood for a dessert. Greeting a seated immediately by a friendly server. Unlike any other dessert shop I've been to, they seat you, bring you some water and have a wide variety of options on the menu. There was food but we were interested in the dessert aspect. My boyfriend got the pie of the day, apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and I got the brownie sundae! His pie was absolutely amazing, it was warm and baked perfectly with the vanilla ice cream on top. And my sundae was so good, it was a nice soft and chewy brownie, marshmallow fluff, vanilla ice cream and whip cream on top. Took us about 15 minutes to enjoy and then pay and leave. Super cute date and not bad pricing at all. There's lots of seating and even a small arcade side attached to the building. I recommend if you're looking for a cute date night or just in the area. I know I'll be back.

Great 50’s diner in the heart of Old Scottsdale. Great ice cream and food. Fun throwback to a simpler time.

Best place to be when bringing a friend from out of town. The place looked nostalgic and had a taste of history. Watched some elderly couples have their ice-cream and it was really sweet.

Stopped for dessert and enjoyed the variety and atmosphere. One of the greats in Old Town Scottsdale .

Amazing, historical family-owned joint. You can basically order any mixture of ice cream sundae, malt, shake, etc you could imagine.

The decor and ambiance is adorable. I can't wait to take my kids back. The menu even has Family Circus cartoons with the Sugar Bowl in them. I love the glass art from "Laughing Glass" around the inside too!

The Sugar Bowl is like stepping back in time to the nostalgic 1950’s! I love the original decorating of pink chairs and booths! And, having a sweet tooth, I loved that 75% of the menu is desserts! Our waiter took our order quickly and we received our food very quickly. I loved my sundae and everyone in my party loved their sandwiches and sundaes/floats!

Attached to the Sugar Bowl is an old fashioned arcade where families were playing games.

I would recommend going to the Sugar Bowl if you are in the Old Scottsdale area for sure—don’t miss this gem! It’s like definitely a must see (and taste)!

This place is so cute! Nostalgic decor of old Soda shops. The staff was friendly & helpful with questions about the menu. The ice cream is delicious...creamy, flavorful and big portions. Will definitely be back.
