Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Toledo

Dinner, dessert and wine were great, however the sauce on the parmesan crusted chicken was a little runny and didn’t have much flavor. Our waitress Daniele was absolutely amazing and very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wine. We will definitely go back!

My first visit. We gathered after a memorial service to reminisce and enjoy the company. We were seated off by ourselves, a table of 12. We enjoyed drinks and food, all very good. The server was very good also. Kept up with us, but also allowed us privacy and did not in any way rush us. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and a lovely burnt orange Sangria. I would totally recommend and will be back.

Our bi-yearly treat to Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant! Shout out to our waitress, Natalie, who was absolutely amazing and made our evening even more enjoyable! Food was flavorful and delicious and dessert was sublime! Great night celebrating Valentine's with my man!

After my review, the manager tracked me down to talk about what happened. She was appalled to know one of their servers treated a customer in such a way & asked us back to make our experience right.
We returned last night & let me say, it was 150% better! Most importantly, our waitress Maddie (Maddog 😂) was fantastic! She was fun & informative & most importantly, she didn't know about our previous experience. Maddie was genuinely a great waitress. The wine, appetizers, food & desserts were delicious 😋 we thoroughly enjoyed every part of our evening. Thank you to Coopers Hawk for reaching out & wanting to right a very unpleasant first visit. We're happy to report that we will all be returning again.

This was my first visit here. Our waitress was ok at first but slow to greet us or bring our drinks/wine. What really struck us all was her behavior once she knew we were on separate bills. It was 4 of us, all women, I'm not sure why this seemed strange or caused her to act how she did, but she wrote us off at that point. She slapped all four booklets with our bills in front of my friend & wouldn't speak to us. Then, when that person gave a lesser tip than she felt she deserved, she brought it back to her & whispered, "I don't want it!" & continued to ring the rest out while rolling her eyes & complaining. She didn't even know what the rest of us were going to tip, but she was DONE with us. Never came back or thanked us for coming. Not in a hurry to return. Hopefully, that is not the norm here.

The service was excellent. Our waitress checked on us several times and was very personable. After ordering food, it wasn't long after that it was served. The egg roll appetizer was delicious. It came with three different sauces. Surf and Turf entrees were very flavorful and are displayed in the attached pictures. The atmosphere was very pleasant and exuded a romantic style environment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice date night. The only forewarning is the price. For some it may not be a big deal while others it might be. A glass of wine is around $10 and some entrees surpass $30-$40 at the time of this review.

We were so excited when CH finally opened a location in Toledo! Every dish we have tried from there has been absolutely delicious...and we have tried several. With an *almost 100 % scratch kitchen, it's nice to know that the food is fresh. Service is always so wonderful. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure we have a very enjoyable experience. Staff is also very knowledgeable on menu, as well as in the tasting room.

Second visit. Overwriting first. Everything was just as excellent as our first visit. Daughters pre-birrthday dinner. Server Gina was awesome. Robert assisted with a birthday song in 3 languages which was cool. Food, Spirits and dessert hands down the best meal going out in a long time.

Treat yourself! A medium rare filet is my go-to...and it's always perfect. The salty, crispy onions on top of the filet is where it's at! I've never had a bad meal - lettuce wraps, mahi mahi, grouper, drunken shrimp, *banoffee* (every single time!), s'mores, charcuterie board, caprese flatbread...even the caesar salad slaps. The blonde bartender always gives great service. If you don't know how to say one of the many big/weird words on the menu...just ask, the servers/bartenders are super cool. You'll spend a pretty penny but you deserve it! Life's too short to not eat well. Enjoy!

One of the easiest reviews...Cooper's Hawk was just flat out a great experience. The staff is super friendly and professional. The food and wine were great. The atmosphere was top notch as well. Joined the wine club...free tastings and bottles each month. Seemed too good to be true, but you can't go wrong with Cooper's Hawk.

The food selection is impressive. I like the vegetarian portion of the menu. It's light and saves room for the wine! 🙂

Great place, great food, good service. Also sitting on the patio from season to season. It's awesome to see the such beautiful flowers and landscaping that has been done and kept up throughout the year. Definitely go check out and definitely sit out on the patio and eat and enjoy all the surroundings.

This is my favorite place and I have never had anything off the menu that was not excellent. You have to try the chicken lettuce wraps and the braised short ribs melt in your mouth. My daughter loves the jambalaya but thats just not my thing. I personally think it’s a little too dark - I am not always on a date and the lobby is always crowded for wine tastings… so I guess I love the food but like my restaurants a little more quiet.

The service was excellent, great atmosphere. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and checked on us several times. Very personable. After ordering our food, it wasn't long after that it was served. Our meals were fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is one of my new favorite places to dine. I don't drink alcohol, for those who enjoy wine, I'm sure you will really enjoy the atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, the restaurant was very clean, and I really enjoyed the attention to detail. The food was very good. We started with the yummy pretzel loaf bread (very tasty). I ordered the fillet with the lobster tail, and an appetizer of grilled cilantro brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were the best I have ever had! The fillet was cooked perfectly to my expectations, but lacked a bit on the seasoning side. The lobster tail on the other hand was seasoned perfectly. We finished off our meal with the white and dark chocolate cheesecake topped with peppermint bark. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try another item from the menu.

Our waiter had great recommendations of the wines and the food. He was very personable! We went out with our friends and shared four appetizers and shared a meal with our husbands. The risotto and chicken dinners were delicious and even the split meals had big portions. Our desserts were delicious, and we left very satisfied. Great food and beautiful dining experience with friends.

Superb atmosphere and food. The best dining experience I’ve had in sometime within the Toledo area. Highly recommend Coopers Hawk to all. But what can i say about the service… our server Vailysiana was beyond reproach. Her stunning looks, beautiful charm, and customer service was exceptional. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the foods and wines. Definitely would dine in again in her section without a doubt!

Title: A Turnaround Experience Worth Celebrating!

I recently visited Coopers Hawk to celebrate a friend's birthday, and while our initial experience left us disappointed, the exceptional service and generosity shown by the manager turned things around completely.

Upon arrival, we encountered a few issues that dampened our spirits, but to our surprise, the manager personally invited us back to make amends. Not only did they comp our meals, but they also gifted us a bottle of wine to enjoy. This gesture instantly lifted our mood and sparked a glimmer of hope for a better dining experience.

And boy, did the second visit exceed our expectations! From the moment we were seated, our server went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. They flawlessly delivered everything we ordered, and their warm and attentive nature added an extra touch of hospitality to the evening.

The outstanding customer service didn't stop there. The staff, as a whole, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel valued and appreciated throughout our time at the restaurant. It was evident that they genuinely cared about our satisfaction and went the extra mile to ensure it.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the bottle of wine we received as a complimentary gift. Not only did we savor every sip, but we were so impressed that we ended up purchasing multiple bottles as gifts for our friends. It was a testament to the quality and enjoyment it brought us.

Servers are professional and quite knowledgeable about the menu. It is a little pricey, but that's expected for a restaurant such as this. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a high 9. Very good in all categories.

Had a wonderful time today celebrating my mother’s birthday! The food, atmosphere and staff were all amazing but I’d like to give a special thank you to Madalyn she really made our experience top notch wine tasting and with purchasing bottles. Her knowledge of the wines was impressive and she was a lot of fun!

My sister and I went for our girls' night, and it was a fabulous idea. While pricey, you are definitely getting what you are paying for. We didn't get dinner. We just got appetizers, but they were plenty filling. The cheese plate was spectacular, and the sweet and smokey bacon on the plate was a fabulous compliment to everything on there. My sister got the Italian sausage flatbread, and it was wonderful. I normally have an issue with peppers, but not with this! I can't wait to go back and try either lunch or dinner. I also only tried one wine, I would love to try a flight in the future!

Coopers Hawk has been a much-needed addition to nicer dining options in the neighborhood. It’s a great date night spot or girls night out. The wine is delicious, and there is enough variety for everyone to enjoy - from the sweetest to the driest reds or whites. Even non-wine folks can enjoy — their cocktails are also pretty tasty!

Right upon walking in there is the wine tasting bar. You can walk right up and start sampling wine. You get 8 samples for $10 and it is well worth it! For an added cost you can buy chocolate truffles and do pairings (highly recommend!). Just make sure you have about 45 minutes to dedicate. And note that it’s standing only. Might not be the best if you have a bad back (floors are concrete) or wearing painfully high heels. It can get really busy in the evenings and on weekends. It’s first come, first serve for the wine bar.

If you wind up coming here at least once a month, it’s worth getting a Coopers Hawk “wine club” membership. Members get 2 free tastings each month and discounts on wine bottles. They have a 1, 2 or 3 bottle per month membership. As you go up in bottles the monthly cost goes up, but so does the total savings per bottle. Any that you don’t pick up that month roll over. We’ve been members for about 7 months and it’s been well worth the money. We enjoy the bottles at home or have given them as gifts. One of your monthly bottles you can use at dinner (they charge nearly double a bottle in the dining room).

FOOD: so the food is really good. We haven’t had anything bad so far, but we definitely have some favorites.

The brussel sprouts appetizer. OH MY GOD. This is one of the most flavorful, incredible takes on Brussels I’ve ever had. It is mouthwatering and delicious. Lightly sauced in a peanut sauce and dressed with crushed cashews…wow. Just wow. You HAVE to give this a go. It’s my #1 recommendation on the menu.

The pretzel bread is free. And it is incredible. Be careful because it’s unlimited and the calories are terrible (haha!).

The flatbread appetizers are okay. Tasty but nothing that mind blowing or differentiating from your run of the mill flatbreads.

My husband has had both burgers on the menu and gives them 3.5/5 stars. He says he can get a better burger at five guys. You can’t deny it’s all the things it says it is from the menu, but the flavors are lackluster for the steep price tag.

I have LOVED the steak medallions both times I got them. The crusted tops are a fun way to play with flavors - there is a parmesan crust top,
Blue cheese, and one more I’m forgetting. Delicious but pricey.

The chicken piccata is a good “bang for your buck” dish as it comes with 3 thin sliced chicken breasts and plate of noodles. You won’t leave hungry, and it’s a hardy portion of protein.

My husband really likes the prime sandwich. It’s a standout dish for him, a delicious French dip! He is a fan of the chimichurri steak as well but similar to my comment of the medallions…it’s a steep price for what it is so he often leans French dip as the “bang for buck” and very tasty option.
