Civil Sass Beef

You can't beat the quality and price of the beef from Civil Sass Beef! We bought a quarter of a cow last year, and then random cuts throughout the year. Abbey was very accommodating to some of our last minute asks, and in general very friendly to work with. Our experience has been so pleasant that we are purchasing a half a cow despite moving out of state.

Excellent, tasty beef! Best I've found after trying several others. Abbey is always quick to respond, friendly, and helpful with choosing meat cuts. Have been able to get quarter beef shorter notice too. The last time I picked up my beef at the butcher, they told me Civil Sass beef always comes in looking the best and nobody goes with anyone else once they've had their beef.

I thought that I would never taste beef as good as it was growing up. Living on a farm, my parents would often buy a 1/4 cow when a neighbor was ready to butcher, guaranteeing we had very fresh beef, that wasn't injected with or fed chemicals.
I ordered an 1/8 of a steer and it fits perfectly in my 3.5 Cu. Ft. Freezer. I got a great selection of steaks, stew meat, roasts, and ground beef. At no additional cost, I also received organ meats and bones (for my dogs) and those can cost a fortune at the butcher shop!
The taste is simply delicious!!! The hamburger does not have that odd pink slime that comes off of grocery store ground beef. I expected it might be fatty... but it is not!!
Ive enjoyed soups, spaghetti sauce, stew and a filet steak so far, and though my freezer is still full, I want to order more!!!
Civil Sass Beef has been an absolute delight. I barely want to write a review to keep it more of a secret! From ordering, to selecting cuts, to pick up... everything has been better than I expected... even the prices!
I will not be going back to grocery store beef again!

Abbey is great at communication, she made it easy for my family to purchase what we wanted and in the cuts we wanted. Website is easy to use, and has useful FAQ section.

I recently purchased four chuck roasts and two sirloin tip roasts from Civil Sass Beef. Abbey delivered them at no extra charge. She's good people, it was nice to chat with her when she dropped the roasts off.

I used two of the chuck roasts yesterday and made good old-fashioned beef roast in the oven (we have nine in our household, plus I wanted extra so I could make homemade hash with the leftovers). I've never had a beef roast that was so delicious before. Yes, I'm good at cooking a mean beef roast, but having good quality beef really helps to start with.

I won't be purchasing beef roasts at the grocery anymore. Next time I order, I'm going to get some ground beef and other items along with the beef roasts. Yes, I'll be ordering from Civil Sass Beef again! And to think, I found these guys in a random fb comment!

Chatfield is a little farther than my daily adventures take me (I'm near Rochester). Try doing what I did: fill out a form on their website. They will contact you and ask what you're interested in. If you'd like, you can talk to them on the phone or text what you want. It was so easy!

Very transparent through the entire process, which was new to us. Great price as well -- look forward to our next order!!

Love the beef from Civil Sass! The meat sticks are fabulous - they make a great quick snack on their own or with cheese/crackers. The steaks cook up well on the grill and the ring bologna was delicious in a breakfast casserole. Excited to try the roast soon when the weather starts cooling down - think it will make some nice crockpot roast beef sandwiches!

We love Civil Sass Beef!! It's so great to know where the beef is coming from and Abbey amd Jake's attention to detail comes out in the amazing flavor! The ground beef makes the best burgers ever!
