Family Fare Supermarket

Family Fare market used to be called Glenn's. We have been going there for years. It's a great market! Well-stocked, well-run, fast check out hardly ever a wait and clean. It's right off the highway and easy to find. I believe exit 282 turn right at the ramp and then right again right away you can't miss it. We stop here and stock up before we go to Lake Louise (also known as Thumb Lake) when we take our Jeep wranglers or snowmobiles (in the winter) for super fun off-road excursions. It's our go-to-market.

Before you shop there make sure and sign up for the family fare club. A lot of these clubs don't make much difference at checkout however this one does. It saved us $46 last time.
They have a great breakfast goods section with croissants muffins and all kinds of other yummy things. They have a big produce section with lots of fresh produce. Their meats are excellent also. They carry many sugar-free products including Atkins snacks and sugar-free Breyers ice cream. (If you are watching your blood sugar.) They also carry beer wine and liquor so you don't have to make an extra stop if you need liquor. They also have a section of nine grocery items that could even save you another stop depending on what you need.
Even though it's not Glenn's anymore Family Fare has remade this classic landmark and I think it's actually much better than it used to be. Keep up the great work Family Fare!

The staff here is friendly prices are pretty decent on some stuff but other stuff they can get a little high all in all great place clean

We shopped at this supermarket multiple times while vacationing in Boyne City. The staff was friendly and helpful!
I accidentally left my prescription glasses in the store the day before we left for home. After calling a couple of other shops we had visited in search of my missing glasses, I gave Family Fare a call. By this point we were hours away from the store on our way back home. Shirley went out of her way to mail my glasses back to my house! Thank you Family Fare! I appreciate your kindness!!

Clean, well stocked store with a large variety of name brand merchandise as well as store brands, with a friendly and helpful staff.

This place used to be a Glen's Market and we were very pleased when shopping here when it was Glen's. I haven't noticed any real notable changes since the changeover. Still a great selection of items to purchase at fair prices with kind and helpful staff. The nice thing about places like Family Fare is that they don't try to be something that they are not. If I want a Target I will go to a Target thank you very much Kroger.

Great store about 10 minutes from Boyne mountain. Well stocked deli and meat departments, including Italian cold cuts (copa, prosciutto, and salami). Nice beer, wine, and liquor selection.

Good meats so fresh. Nice bakery breads are fresh also. Never too crowded, check out is pretty fast.

Seriously, I can't even believe what a great store this has turned into. Not only did they renovate the inside, but they have added such a vast selection of items I can't even believe it's the same place. At the same time they have so much stuff marked down that with just a little bit of effort you can save at least 20% probably 30% on your monthly grocery bill and still get all the items you love. I am giving up my old grocery store which I have used for several years and this is going to be my grocery store from now on. Thanks, Family Fare!

Stopped in for a Starbucks and to use the bathroom. If you are looking for their bathroom head towards the pharmacy area to your left. Then go down the first isle by the back wall and you will see the Restroom sign. Their bathrooms were clean. The wastebasket just needed to be emptied.

I was in town for the Piratefest.

I love this store and the employees. They’re always so kind and welcoming. They’ve advocated for me when harassed and are wonderful with my children even. Couldn’t ask for a better local spot to get groceries whilst in the midst of great company.

They are really busy in the summer and have a Starbucks inside. Patience is a must during the busy seasons. The employees are nice too.

The store is open till 11pm during the summer months and open until 11 all year..the prices are moderately HIGH and the best time to shop is after 6pm because the store is very busy during the day and that's Sunday through Sunday. All in the store is a nice place to shop.

Pretty expensive but limited to only grocery store in town while camping. Store was clean and had what we needed
