I’ve gotten my hair cut here multiple times now. Steve does a great job. I have a ton of cow licks and he is very meticulous in getting everything cut right so they can lay properly. He does a great job. I’ve also seen some of the other hair styles he cuts and he can take care of pretty much any hair type that you have.

Love this barbershop, great atmosphere. I get my beard trimmed here and they cut my 6year old sons hair. Very professional!

I've been slowly losing my hair since I was a teenager and haven't had a haircut that's made me like my hair for almost a decade. Until now. The moment I sat down, Steve was in control and gave me a haircut that has looked good for two full months. I've had compliments on my hair from friends and family. Even my wife has noticed how good of a cut it was.

It's hard to describe the feeling of getting something back that you thought was lost. And a nice head of hair was the last thing I expected to have again. But here we are. Steve has earned himself a customer for life.

This place is absolutely the best barber shop in Gainesville. Jay gave me the perfect fade, highly recommended!

Great experience. I had Steve cut my hair and my beard. He did a great job! Above and beyond. My barber moved away so I searched online for... months. I don't like change. I finally settled on MTG and I am glad I did. Gotta say, it really is a great atmosphere with friendly skilled barbers. I went with something totally outside of my comfort zone, mix it up, stress level max, lol. But with my hair being as long as it was for the 1st time ever, I figured it was now or never. It turned out great! Exactly what I asked for. I have found my new regular barber. I would definitely recommend MTG and Steve especially, to anyone looking. Try them, you won't be sorry. I wasn't.

Steve is an artist (can do all styles of hair) & a good human. The shop has a positive vibe & chill. Online scheduling is easy & convenient. Great place to get a haircut.

I took my toddler here for his first haircut today with Steve. Steve was hands down the best barber we could have asked for. My kiddo was VERY upset and uncooperative, but Steve was incredibly patient and kind. It also takes a special kind of talent to keep a pair of scissors and a buzzer going with the flow of a squirming two year old in a way to keep an even haircut. I honestly cannot recommend Steve enough - he's incredibly talented and skilled not to mention BEYOND patient! I wish I could rate them a 10 out of 5 because that's how much I recommend them!!!! I had a great experience at MTG, and I will definitely be going back! Steve did an amazing job with my hair - I went from pretty long hair to a short, clean cut. He was patient with me and listened to what I wanted. Steve was really friendly and encouraging and really did a wonderful job. The space is super nice, clean, and welcoming. I absolutely recommend MTG Barbers!

Steve is a cool dude and a great barber. The barber shop is chill with some great music and he’ll get you done right. After going to the same place forever i was nervous to try somewhere new. He did a great job on a new cut and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be back!

Been going to Steve for about a year now and I can say without a doubt he is one of, if not the most, competent barbers in Gainesville (and I’ve tried a lot of them). Extremely precise and focused on giving you an excellent and clean cut. His fades are unmatched by any other barber I’ve been to. I unfortunately just got my last cut from him since I’ll be moving out of the area, but I wish I could clone him! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who asks me where they should get cut. Struggled with mediocre haircuts for years. Came in and told Steve all I want is a cut with a skin fade, the rest is up to you. Let me tell you, this man went to WORK. He knows what he’s doing, and he will make you look GOOD. After trying several barbers around through the years, MTG is the only place in Gainesville that I trust with my hair.

If your the owner and your reading this. Steve deserves a raise. He is by far the best barber to go to in Gainesville. I went into the shop one day and asked him for a haircut a curtain way and he said—I don’t know man I don’t think that would be good on you. just trust me I’ll get you right.— he then proceeds to give me the best haircut I’ve ever had. If I stay in town after college I will only get my hair cut by Steve

Listening is their strong suit. I tried them once, specifically Steve and ever since he's been my main man. I got used to going to Randy's or some other popular chain. You know the experience. You tell them what you want and they end up giving you a crewcut with maybe one or two of the parameters you asked for. Not Steve. He listened to what I was asking for immediately and had great attention to detail. I have a strange shaped head, and he nailed it first time. Like I said, he's my main man now and I want to try to do my part and get him some recognition. 10/10 bomb barber

This is the best barber I have gone too since I moved to Florida 6 years ago. My junior prom is in 2 days and I told him I just wanted to look nice and I wasn't really sure what I wanted, and he made me look clean ash. I recommend this place for everybody.

Went in expecting to wait awhile (like most barbers) but Steve got me in for a cut at the perfect time.
Had a good conversation, and a great haircut. Low price for the quality, and a nice, clean, and professional environment. 10/10.

I’ve been bringing my 16 year old to see Steve Jackson for about a year now. We live an hour away and it’s well worth the drive. His haircuts are always on point! Steve takes his time and does it right!

Steve was great! I wasn’t very good at describing the haircut I wanted, but despite that he gave me exactly what I was looking for! Will definitely be returning.
