Friendly, kind and helpful staff! Sometimes it can get busy with long lines since there’s pretty much only ever one person working. You just have to come on off peak hours (during the day before 4pm).

This is by far, the BEST USPS you can patronize. The postal employees are pleasant and efficient. There are rarely lines, and when there are, they move along quickly. It is quiet and calm and I drive out of my way to get to them for my postal needs.

Update on october 2022

A new female clark recently came in. She was very kind, gave easy-to-understand explanations, and did the job well and quickly, so I was able to finish sending the necessary parcels in a short time and leave with a smile. Now I want to give 5 stars.

There is poor material section for priority mail. I 'd rather to go post office at Newton center next time.

Helpful, efficient staff. No self-service drop box for pre-labelled packages, though.

One of the attendants is rather gruff. Also after spending my lunch break to go down to mail something out - the store was closed for “ lunch “. I applaud employees getting time for lunch ( as is their legal right) just post it online so we don’t waste a trip.

Wow, after reading these reviews, I feel relieved that I was not the only one with similar negative experiences with the gentleman that works there - it's negative to the point of discomfort. If he is so miserable interacting with people, he should not have chosen a customer service job. If you say "hi" or "have a nice day" to this gentleman, you will be ignored with distain. The blonde hair woman is lovely and helpful (one star for her), however. This is the closest post office to me (one more star for proximity).

Just as others say, the gentleman behind the counter is rude and he seems to be bothered with any basic question. I live across the street and this is far from a neighborhood friendly location. The gentleman behind the counter attempts to reprimand me every time I ask to confirm delivery date options.

It recently got worse over Christmas time. I sent a package from this location, paid the delivery fee in full only to find out that usps did a bait and switch claiming more postage was owed. USPS held my packages ransom until the receiver paid an extra fee…usps did not provide any invoice or receipt. Just incredible that USPS can’t perform their basic function and held my package through a bait and switch scam. Disputing with my credit card company to hopefully get more information since usps is not truthful or forthcoming in their tracking and record keeping.

Went to get service and it was closed before 3pm. What gives?

One of the employees is consistently rude to me to the point where I only go to this location as a last resort. This employee acts like it’s painful to do their job and has acted really condescending on multiple occasions. I try and be polite as possible but this employee is usually in a terrible mood a lot and will respond in a patronizing way and snap at you, as if you’re placing a huge burden on them by wanting your packages shipped. In my most recent visit the employee complained that I was arriving too late, when it was 22 minutes before closing, talk about unprofessional! Drive a few minutes to the Lincoln Street post office for much faster service and MUCH kinder employees.

Glad I am not the only one who thinks the staff here is rude! I’ve gone here several times over the past year and only go when I am short on time and have a dropoff with a prepaid label, although last time the staff here declined my package with a prepaid label saying that the weight didn’t match the label. I had to go to another post office, which accepted my package.

And this time, my last time I will ever attempt to go there , when I started to walk in the door (at 4:50 with a dropoff) he physically pushed me out and said “we’re closed”

That’s it folks. We went from rude to physical contact. Why is the staff allowed to act this way?

The gentlemen who is working there is not only unhelpful but yells at you and doesn't let you ask any questions. This happened to me on multiple occasions with people in line witnessing and nobody can do anything about it. I hope the lady who works there and is very helpful can see that and will stand up for the customers. Not returning to this location ever again, very upsetting.

I visited this branch on a sunny and beautiful fall morning shortly after it opened. The tall and big man mending the front was very unpleasant and rude. I feel sorry for him because he is probably miserable at his job. I don’t take it personally because he seems to be consistent from other reviews. It reflects awfully on this particular location though..

Postal workers at this location are extremely rude and condescending, to the point that they start literally yelling at the customers. I had a misunderstanding with a form and got yelled at and told I didn't know how to read while I was just trying to figure out what to do. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this location and simply go to the Newton Highlands location, where the workers are nice. I've heard the same happened to several other people.

The guy there is terrible and doesnt want to be doing his job. Came in to get a package that was listed for pick up, with tracking number and USPS site saying it was here. Guy said it wasnt and refused to even look essentially. at one point he just walked away from the counter and the music was so loud I had to shout to get him to hear me across the room, and when I did so he go even more irate and yelled at me for trying to make it so he could hear me. Barely let me get a sentence in the whole time I was there either. He also seems to be the only employee that works there.

Rude employee doesn’t do their job and yell at you for asking them to.

The location is useless in its current state. I will go to the Waban one instead.
