The "Little Italian" Place

The place is top level hidden gym. Unassuming from the outside based on location and exterior. It a unpretentious white table cloth restaurant with phenomenal food and an excellent Irish pub off to the side. Staff is all extremely friendly and welcoming.

The food on the main menu is always very good. We have had a number of the dishes. I would recommend chicken piccata, pizzas and risotto. I also was told they are going to add Veil to the menus, so can’t wait for that. The wine menus lacks a great selection of local wines…well just a selection of good wines period. We have been told that is soon to change and be expanded The bar is very fun and staff is very friendly and attentive but be selective on the days you go for happy hour and find out about all the nights of entertainment and live music. New ownership and management is allowing for consistency and better service compared to previous owner

Had ourselves a fantastic dinner here. I got the gnocchi and I can honestly say the cream sauce on it is the best I've ever had. Pizza is wood-fired and was terrific. Hand made meatballs also made a great starter. Wife got the Boscaiola with sausage and she loved it. Finished with the Italian fire dough which was also great. It seems like good Italian places are hard to come by anymore. We have enjoyed Il Fornaio for years as one of our go-to Italian places. We just crowned a new favorite at The Place. It does not disappoint.

Excellent food and fast friendly service. Great atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the top quality food. I never thought there could be a restaurant this good out in the sticks! Highly recommend, even for a quick bite on your lunch break.

Great little place! Super surprised how nice it was inside. This converted gas station has a great new charm. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Wood burning domed oven makes for a great meal. There are many things on the menu I want to try so I will be back.

Great food (the chicken breast used was cooked perfectly), good deserts (canoli and Italian churro). The food did take some time to come out but the staff were hard working and super friendly.

Very good food. Definitely worth the short drive.
I am looking forward to more dishes.

Amazing food! Wife wanted to go here for her 39th birthday and we loved it.

This is a great little place! Love their pizza. I would ask it be cooked alittle longer. Order the rocket salad!!! Can't go wrong. If you go to the McDermott at happy hour, behind the restaurant, you get 1/2 price wine, beer, and appetizer. The restaurant is attached, and you can order the entire menu. Cheers

This place is amazing! You can truly tell that they care about creating a wonderful customer experience! Our server Heather was top level. She was on top of everything. She clearly enjoys her job and wants her patrons to have a good experience here. The food was top notch as well. I had the chicken parmigiana. Kudos to the kitchen staff. I work in the food industry and I can appreciate a well oiled machine when I see it. Thank you

Food was great and staff was super friendly. My lemon drop tasted fresh and delicious, they make the limoncello in house. Bread was soft and balsamic, oil, seasoning dip was very good. Everything was great, will be back for sure.

I have driven by this place too many times without stopping and now I feel regret for lost opportunities to have tried more dishes. Great atmosphere, kind and professional servers, you can tell they take pride in all that they do. I had the caprese sandwich. The fresh mozzarella and pesto were so good. Even the tomato was perfect. I cant wait to stop in an have dinner some time and a canolli! Oh, and a nice selection of beer on tap as well. Dine in or out and listen to the sounds of Sinatra 🥰

Under new ownership. Outstanding gem in the Gold Country. Delicious meals made from scratch, including homemade pasta. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese and it was delicious. A highlight was the fresh bread, airy and light. Can't wait to go back for the 10 layer lasagna and also the calazones. Service was on point as well, very professional. Lots of GF options for those that need them.

Small, cute restaurant with very tasty cheesy garlic bread and pasta! On the more pricey end but I'd say worth it for the flavor 😋 We got the Smokey Maccheroni E Formaggio with chicken and Boscaiola with chicken (which is the best tasty sauce!) Definitely recommend 💯

Pretty good and great little gem. Only have been twice, but my family loves the pizza. I'd rate the pastas a 8 or 9 out of 10. Really enjoy the atmosphere in the bar and outside. Service is a solid 9.

Absolutely AMAZING!! The food is exceptional!! Just like your Italian grandma used to make!! The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is great. The home baked bread is phenomenal
