Big Daddy's Ice Cream

Enjoyed a Saturday evening ice cream stop here in early September! The line wasn’t too long, and there was plenty of parking. They had a good amount of flavor options, and everything is homemade! I loved the apple pie a la mode special. There were picnic tables outside, as well as an indoor area with tables and a restroom.

My scoop of kahlua brownie with hot fudge on top was amazing. We were greeted kindly by staff and offered tastes (as it was clear we were struggling to decide what to get 😂). Having owned a homemade ice cream shop in the past, I couldn’t help but peek in the windows and was impressed by how clean and organized it was in there. Well done. We will make Big Daddies our “go to” any time we are in the area!

I can't eat it because of diabetes and I control it by diet but my wife can't live without it after dinner. It's good we're here only a week. The line is long but moves fast because it's the best.

Great portions, lots of options when it comes to flavors. Priced perfectly for the atmosphere and size of the cone. We love the setting and the service.

Big daddy's is the reason i gain weight on vacation. I reccomend the salty caramel crunch, cherry chocolate chip, and the bourbon maple pecan.

Great spot to get delicious ice cream. Came here with my family and dog. Everyone go something they loved and there was plenty of seating to sit with our dog. The quality is good and the servings aren't overly sized. Will definitely be going again when I am in the area or at the beach nearby.

It was our first time and the ice cream was delicious! They offer a large selection of ice creams, along with frozen yogurt options. There are also daily specials, and somerhing I've not seen before, and ice cream flight! This includes your choice of 4 ice creams to sample. The flight portions are smaller than their scoops, but still a good amount. Will be trying that on our next visit!

Big Daddy’s rightfully won best ice cream in Maine, and I’d put their homemade ice cream up against any shop in the northeast and maybe country - it’s that good. We stopped at the Wells location on a New England trip and, let me tell you, this ice cream alone made it worthwhile. Great product and even better people working there. You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors, and it’ll be our first stop next time we’re in the area.

Generous portions, great ice cream. Recommend the soft serve (super creamy), the lemon sorbet and the orange pineapple ice cream. So good

Stopped at my new usual favorite ice cream shop before going back home to CT! Once again didn't disappoint!! They don't call it big daddy's for nothing, I got 2 scoops in waffle cone and it was amazing.!!! Can't wait till I come back next time!!

For ice cream connoisseurs, this place is a must stop!! They have a huge selection of flavors and options and everything we tried was great, including some relatively unique flavors! The service was great—very polite young ladies who were very quick about their service. Definitely recommend!!!

Great discovery. Ice cream was creamy delicious and the portions are mega big. The bigest dilema is to decide what flavor you want given the all the choices.

The ice cream was delicious and the servings were huge. The employees are friendly and enthusiastic. Keep in mind that they pack the ice cream really tightly so a medium is a lot of ice cream. My wife and I couldn't finish the medium. Not even close. We got the seasonal blueberry pie as its our favorite Maine flavor.

We went three times and tried different flavors. They were all very good. The portion size was generous. My favorite was the salted caramel crunch. Caution- they only take cash. Best ice cream ever….
