US Post Office

What a pleasure it was to deal with this Post Office. I had a problem with a package that was addressed wrong. They found the package and pulled it off the truck before it was returned. they then delivered it to the correct address. Never once did I get a negative vibe or was made to feel I was not important. I whish more people were like these employees that helped me.

I addressed a package wrong. I was really upset at my mistake because it cost $60 to mail but the gentleman at this post office, ( Eric) was so nice and helpful. He found the package and is making sure it gets delivered correctly. Im from CA and we NEVER get that kind of response and service here! Oh, they were even closed when I called and still helped me! THANK YOU POST OFFICE ANGEL!!!

Excellent staff and service. These guys work there behinds off almost 24/7 to service the local area. Yes, it is not a full service PO, and people leaving negative reviews because of that are not very bright. They have continued to provide excellent service for my company even after we moved our office to Milford. Thank you guys!!

They deliver to my house when packages are too big for our tiny mailbox.

Talked to post master Jennifer to hold a miss addressed package, instead I got a call an hour after having a nice conversation with her over the phone. I picked up to hear a rude woman who is very insulting and hung up on me.

Horrible service and mail carrier. The mail carrier or supervisor put a hold on several residents mail because they suddenly did not like the mail box that was there for years or maybe just felt a bit disgruntled or on a power trip . This facility should not be trusted to hold any one’s mail and needs to provide back up for the mail hold with pictures. The so called “postmaster” was the rudest and is not professional . She advised that she would go and check out the mail boxes that day. She never did and people are left not knowing what to do or when they will ever get mail delivery . There needs to be some sort of advance notice and protection for the customers when this sort of unethical behavior is practiced by the Shelton Post Office on Forrest Street. If they are not a full service post office then perhaps Shelton needs one that respects the customers and can deliver what they need to do as a business. Hopefully the Consumer Affairs for the US Postal Service will investigate .

Incredibly rude, zero customer service skills. Jennifer was extremely unprofessional and should not be allowed to work customer facing. Sad. Highly suggest avoiding this location.

Just poor service. My mail carrier doesn't collect my outgoing mail too often. Sometimes my outgoing mail is with my delivered mail but the flag is down. I received a postcard from the USPS to put food out for needy families and they would collect it, the food has been bought and put outside with the postcard attached to it but they won't collect it!! Also, no one answers the phone at the 922 #. I also know of mail that has been sent to me by family members but it's never been received.

I called to find out they are holding my mail, because someone I live with wrote a note that upset mailman. I asked them to release my mail and deliver to me because I am handicapped. They refuse to deliver my mail. And said if I can drive and go to work they don't consider me handicaped!! The supervisor name Scott should not be in charge of anything. All I want is to have my mail delivered to the correct address. Not to my the wrong address, were my mail get into the wrong hands or get thrown away.

One of my packages was marked "delivered" on Feb 16. The package never came and I filled out a service request form. The package was delivered on March 1 (!!!), still no response to my request form. Calling the post office for two days now to find out what happened and nobody picks up. Moreover, on March 1 I also received a stack of mail, including important first class mail that has sorting facility stamps of Feb 20 and Feb 17. Very disappointing service.

went there in person to ask for mail hold as it never work when doing on line! I was told that I need to do it on the web so O said I did in the past few time and mail was deliver anyways! when I went there to pick up my mail I was told that my mail man is getting upset when people do "hold mail"! so be aware that your mail will be deliver as he is ignoring any requests!

Terrible service, don't use it and I have asked people to send through UPS not USPS while in this town. In short one incident was 3 weeks to try and get them to make the delivery that Amazon sent. Multiple phone calls, complaint, resigned they'd have to return it then they finally delivered (guessing the company I purchased from get angry and contacted them). The second was a delivery slip dated 12-18-17 showing up the first week of January - once again wasting time with tracking and phone calls.
Where's the negative stars. I've had better/personal help from big cities (Phoenix, Seattle, Salt Lake City) than this little town. In long -- First incident was refusal for them to deliver package with a bar stool, called the number on the delivery slip, set a time for deliver, sat all day and no show, called again set another date and mentioned it's a secure building made sure they have my phone number. Sat all day, no call no delivery. Third time I called the person let me know the 800 number was in TX and that my experience was unacceptable and she filled out a complaint. I looked up the phone number, saw all the bad reviews on line so knew this is their way of conducting business. I called to have her being patronizing and tell me I had to pick the package up, it was too heavy for them to deliver. When I told her I've just moved, ordered things online that are big because I'm a single woman with a two seater sports car. I can't pick up, she was 'too bad for you' so I said you'll have to return them and I'll let the company know. They didn't return them, I get a "return label" left by them on my door, for a package they have and won't deliver. I resovled I'd have to go down and ask for the box to put the sticker on myself because they're obviously incompetent -
to find the package on my door step after work a couple days later.
Took 3 weeks of phone calls and contacting Amazon that I had to return them to get them to do their job. 2nd experience (even though I told my son not to send anything through USPS Shelton) I recently called about a package my son had sent, and daughter inlaw tracked until she saw that they left the delivery slip on my door on 12-18-17. When my son called to see if I liked the gift on 12-30-17 I told him it was never delivered nor was there a slip. Called as was told they couldn't help with out the tracking number, giving them my address wouldn't help because they're a large P.O. The delivery slip showed up on my door on the first week of January (showing it was first attempt and dated 12-18-17). When I went on line with the package info to redeliver it wasn't in the online system. Called Shelton to have a guy tell me the deliver attempt slip doesn't help them, what's my address. Seriously couldn't help with my address before now that's all they need.

Wish I could give negative stars. I called asking about a package I sent to Shelton which never arrived; I sent it through regular mail so there wasn't a tracking number. The man on the phone with me would barely let me ask a question before blowing up on me about how he can't help me. I just wanted to know if the package was returned to the post office because I know the delivery to this address is confusing since its on the town line. It came to the point where I had to cut him off and tell him to calm down because he was getting so upset by my question (politely asked) as if I were attacking his honor as a mailman. Worst service I think I've ever dealt with... anywhere.

6 months ago I had a problem with my mail delivered to the wrong address and packages so I put big letters and a big number on both sides of my mailbox and the front of it and I still have the same problem with mail carriers that can't read numbers or words its so sad that people can't read or pay attention so if you can't read or pay attention and need a job then go here and put in a application and just ask for Scott because he will take in anybody because not much training is needed and my neighbors also have the same problem so everytime we see a new mail carrier we all just say ok hold on here we go again because we never know what will happen so so sad 😞 😥

Put in for my mail to be held. Received a confirmation and my mail is still being delivered. Tried calling but no one ever answers the phone! Never have I seen such poor customer service at a postal facility

Not sure why this post office has such a hard time delivering and sorting mail but nothing ever gets delivered in a timely manner.

Doesn't sell stamps.
