I am very picky about Thai restaurants in Boston, because the majority is Americanized in flavor, but this restaurant serves authentic and flavorful Thai food. Everything I’ve ordered is really FRESH and FLAVORFUL. I feel like I’m eating food in Thailand! Nothing is too sweet, salty, or spicy. It’s perfectly balanced. Also, you MUST try their desserts. It is sooo good! I hope they keep making more Thai desserts. I will keep returning and bringing friends! I highly recommend this place.

Love the passion that the owner of the store has for sharing great authentic and creative Vietnamese food with others. Everyone that works there is very friendly and accommodating: if you have any food allergies, let them know about dishes you wish to try and they will suggest ways to switch out ingredients to make dishes gluten free/vegan/vegetarian (including paying attention to things like fish sauce, soy sauce, marinades, etc). The spicy noodles were wonderful- savory, crunchy, refreshing. Pad Thai a bit too sweet for my preference, could use more acidity even with extra limes, but still very good. Eggplant dish excellent but on spicier side (which I like). Spice/heat is typical of more authentic Asian food- a slow burn that builds but does not overwhelm flavor, but may be much for someone that is not used to spice. Dessert of the day stood out, especially the custard over rice: unique, comforting, not too sweet. The sweet potato with condensed milk was very unique and creative- sweetness highlighted by salt added to rich condensed milk. Hibiscus tea tangy and refreshing, Thai tea a bit sweet for my taste. Highly highly recommend, one of best Thai restaurants I’ve tried. Food prices very fair as well.

The BEST Thai restaurant in this area!
We had a great experience at this market/restaurant on every aspect : )
First of, the lady at the restaurant was so friendly! The big welcome with an genuine smile really makes you feel like home.
The ambience of this place is very cozy. It is small, nothing fancy, but very comfortable. While waiting for our food to arrive, we also enjoyed browsing the groceries on the shelf.
Last and most importantly, the food is amazing!! We got Pad Thai, the fish balls and green curry with Tofu with a bunch of dessert. The coconut cupcake is absolutely DEVINE!!

Overall, we had a really great dining experience there as a small family. We would definitely go back, and strongly recommend!

Our first visit so we ordered more food than we could finish because we wanted to try a variety of menu items. Pad see you can be made with flat rice noodles or egg noodles and our choice of flat rice noodles with shrimp was good. Noodles were a tad too over cooked for our preference but flavor was very good. Pad Thai was ok and was quite sweet with a syrupy glaze at the bottom of the plate. The noodles were more over cooked in this dish and we probably would not order it again. There was a fried mackerel special today (pla lui suan) which was excellent with a fresh chili sauce that complemented it perfectly. The Kao soi was delicious with velvety chicken, crispy wonton bits on top and these noodles were perfect texture in the curry based broth. Wings Zab is also a winner. We got the spicy version and it is salty, sour, sweet and spicy at the same time dressed with red onions and cilantro. Another great appetizer is the Karee puff. They have two options and we went with the curry potato filling (vs sweet taro). The pastry is flaky and light and they made it to order so it was hot and delicious. Overall this place is a great option and we will return to try the rest of the menu. The staff is helpful and friendly. Get the Thai iced tea. You’ll need it to cool off from the wings. Overall a 4.5.

The food was flavorful. I liked the small space because it felt authentic. Very good.

If you want the best Home cooked Thai food around these parts Then this is the place. Very tasty, authentic and healthy.. Small thai market with four or five tables for eating in.. I eat here once or twice per week. Great for lunch or takeout. Yummy

Easily the best Thai food we’ve eaten in Boston @boonnoonmarket in Arlington MA. And we’ve tried Dakzen, 9 Zaab, Mahaniyom and Kor Tor mor. L to R: Shrimp Donuts-fried, breaded, shrimp in donut form. What’s not to like? Ua Lao - Northern Thai sausage. Homemade and so full of new flavours. Khao Soi - Best balance of fish sauce, chili, curry and coconut milk. Nothing overpowers. Drunken Noodle with Shrimp - It could have been spicier but one of the best we’ve had. No shortcuts on shrimp, herbs and flavour. The little market is packed with Thai snacks, ingredients, sauces and beverages. Will definitely go back!

My family usually rotates among just a few favorite restaurants for takeout, and ever since we tried Boonnoon about a year ago, it has firmly been one of those few! We love the food here so much, and the people who work here are so kind as well. Our regular dishes are the khao soi, pad khing stir fry, pad see you, pad cha, and pla lui suan (we are not always the biggest fish people, but the way they prepare this mackerel and the sauce served alongside it is so delicious!). The satay starter with tofu is so yummy as well, and when ordered with extra toast you can eat it like a sandwich with the peanut sauce and pickled veggies:) Oh!! And the thai iced tea is amazing too 😊
All in all, everything we’ve tried here has been excellent. You really can’t go wrong!! 💖

Oh wow their food is spectacular! Ordering is only difficult when you gotta make choices. Better is to order all the specials, add in some favorites and then feed a crowd so everyone gets to taste all the goodies. Seriously one of the best restaurants in Arlington and Cambridge.

Very good local Thai place. They have a small-medium menu, but they do it very well.

I think everyone, including myself, was surprised when we walk in and get greeted by a very *enthusiastic* staff :).

Going to try more of their menu but their pad thai is amazing. Big portion, and super saucy, so if you like less of a 'dry' pad thai, I'd definitely recommend it.

They've also got a small market to buy some basic Thai staples if you're so inclined. I will probably try some of the Thai flavor lays next time I am there.

I had to write a review because this place is phenomenal! I have never seen such smart, thoughtful, careful packaging for food takeout--she intentionally left openings in the boxes of the crispy starters we ordered (breaded limon chicken and chive pancakes) so that it wouldn't get soggy from the steam! The portions were also very generous, and the taste was great. Super friendly people who clearly love what they do. This place just became our go-to for work night dinner takeout!

Super excited they are open! This was previously Thailand Cafe and that owner has now retired and is playing ping pong. I got Gui Chai, taro root chips, and a Thai iced tea. The chive cakes are perfect with a dipping sauce that has a hint of spice. The Thai iced tea is not overly sweet and is absolutely delicious. The space looks fresh and there’s an assortment of grocery goods as well! Can’t wait to try more of the menu.

Amazing amazing amazing!! I LOVE this market and restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly. I just got back from a trip from Thailand for the first time and since being back I cannot stop looking for authentic Thai food! I had the Khao Soi and it was delicious! At a reasonable price too! Other places are charging $20 and here it is $12! It is sooo good!! I live 40 minutes away from here and go atleast once a week! The pad Thai was also amazing!! Such fresh ingredients you can tell it was just made fresh!!

Super friendly, passionate, and energetic staff!
I got the Khao Soi which is a deliciously rich, creamy, and slightly spicy coconut curry noodle soup and also Karipap (Curry puff) that satisfied my cravings for authentic Southeast Asian snacks. Will definitely come back in the future!

PS : They might be a little bit busy, but trust me patience will pay off :D

They’re going through their soft opening and figuring out logistics in a new neighborhood, but I am thrilled to see an authentic Thai restaurant pop up in Arlington! I will miss Thailand Cafe, but BOONNOON Market is a great replacement.

I ordered the khao soi noodle soup last evening, and actually enjoyed it so much that I ordered it again for lunch today. Very affordable, and most importantly very delicious. I can’t wait to see what their menu will look like once they’re fully open.

Not just good, not just Thai, not just close by and/or affordable. It’s everything and more. We stopped by for a treat and left with a go-to Thai place we want to tell everyone about. This is a must.

The pad-see-ew was incredible. The Khao soi was iconic. We couldn’t stop saying “soooo good” during our lunch and even our leftovers. We also got the Lox Rangoon, so good. See?

The Shumai is one of the best dishes I've had, would highly recommend it! Also, the Thai iced tea is the best tea I've also had. So overall 10/10.
