One of my new favorite bookstores. Selection is pretty curated with virtually no filler. Very good prices as well.

Awesome book store! Could spend hours inside. They also have a ton of cds. Everything is very reasonably priced and the guy working was very helpful and nice. I believe they are located in what might have been an old bank. Highly recommend stopping in.

Outstanding independent book seller!! The building is simply gorgeous, so much charm. Everything is very well organized and there are so many good books to choose from. The selection of leather bound books is amazing, they're located just to the left as soon as you walk in the door. I went with 3 of my girlfriends on Saturday April 30, which was Independent Book Sellers day. We all walked away with an armload of books. The owner took some time to chat with us, she was super friendly and really knows her books. This is a MUST STOP for any book lover, no matter how far away you are... this is worth the drive. All the books I looked at were in really good condition. Stop by and support this local business!

Let me tell you, I love bookstores, bookshops, anything with books you name it. But this bookstore is a treasure. My dad and I visited today and he found a CD he’s been looking for for 5 years. The quality of books and authors this store has is insane. If you haven’t checked this place out, you are missing out! I will be back.

Great selection of books. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also don't mind our daughter running around. Best bookstore in the tri-state area.

FAVORITE USED BOOKSTORE IN THE AREA!

This place is a delight. If you are a book lover, you will feel at home here at once because it hasn't been put together for the sake of sales, but because the owners love books and collected the ones they liked.

I could spend hours in there.

This is a must-visit for anyone who truly loves to read!

P.S. The owner is a Whovian, and you can't go wrong with that!

Great little bookstore housed in an old bank. Inside, you'll be amazed at the volume of books they have, as well as a very impressive collection of CDs, all for sale. But it's more than just books. It's the little things, like the bell that dangles above the door and rings as you open it, and the old maps and artwork on the walls. (Even the bathroom!) And the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Outside, it's almost like a movie set, or an old Norman Rockwell painting. The tree outside, the table and chairs you can sit at, the whole thing is just in a really cool section of town, and it all just goes together very well. I wouldn't change a thing, and I will definitely be a regular customer from now on. Parking right in front too!

Book hunting is a rapidly developing pastime of mine—especially during the pandemic, when other forms of travel and pastime are limited—and I know a gem when I encounter one; this exceptional book shop is such a gem.

To start with: you walk into the architectural integrity of a bank lobby kept in its original charm. There is something magical in the soaring height of the ceiling in that beautifully kept structure. The fact that the stacks in that room soar up as well, just adds to its mystique; some popular fantasy films may begin with similar designs... Add to that, the “clutter” of books that stuff the right-hand side where the desk and stairs are, giving that nook the sense of majesty of the master that reigns over this domain, just adds to the busy-bookshop charms.

But it’s the vast, surprisingly variegated selections within the well-organized stacks in the labyrinthine rooms all the way to the back of the building, that made me while the hours away. I found so much that I’ve sought; I found yet more that I never knew I wanted, or that it existed, and all in easy to use order. The proprietor, a genuinely enthusiastic book-collector, has curated an exquisite book-hunting experience, spiced everywhere with tasteful decorations, prints, maps and literary toys to accompany the rich collection anybody might compile from these stacks.

This is a worthy bookshop to which one periodically returns; the stock endlessly turns over.

I received my beautiful Folio Society edition of The Source of the Nile within two days of phone order. As promised, it was carefully wrapped and like new. Thank you, Broad Street Books, for your great care and courtesy! I look forward to visiting your store.

Been coming here for years now and this is hands down my favorite book store. The best! This is a very unique book store that has a great selection of specialty books. If you are into history, philosophy, books on math, poetry to collector's comics and everything in-between, this is the store for you. Great place to add and build on if you are a collector or looking for a special gift to give to a loved one. The store itself is located in a beautiful town that offers a lot of charm and the inside of the store makes you feel like you walked into a the beginning of a story. The owners truly are kind, caring, good hearted individuals. They are also very knowledgeable and if they do not have an answer for something you are looking for, they will be sure to look into it. This destination is a must if you find yourself in the area

Great location and selection! I got the most books I’ve ever got in one purchase before, the owners were super nice and happy to help (and yes, it’s that pretty in person!)

A wonderful, green business! The gentleman who owns the store, helped us out a lot with an estate we were settling. He was able to take my brothers books, and very happily he can use them to resell! We are very happy about that. We didn’t want to see my brothers beloved books go to the landfill. Namaste.

A really nice used bookstore in a remote location in the northern hills of New Jersey. But don't let that stop you. It's a lovely drive to the mountains and this well-designed and well-thought out shop is worth the trip. It's in a very nice old building (former bank?) and filled with treasures waiting for the literary treasure hunter to find. The owners are knowledgeable and highly committed to book culture. This store is a model for other stores that deal in used books. I was highly impressed and will most surely be back to hunt for more treasures. Special treats await the Tolkien fan that happens to find their way here. A truly beautiful store. Well done.

This place for me on a visit to my brother was a “get out of my head” book store. Its like It was the bookstore I would have made for my own interests. I had to tell myself I can only read so many books and WILL visit my brother again (soon!) to come back here. The young man, friend of owners son, took great care of us, helping me find the books I needed and giving me a really cool “The Journal” who had very interesting articles (Seward, Composting, Weis), fun book selections. The only bad thing I could possibly say is they do NOT sell all the cool things hanging up that you could spend a few hours looking at! What more can I say? This store IS a treasure! I dream they open a satellite store in my home town in NC, haha!

What a wonderful experience and a great used bookstore. Very much worth stopping in if you’re in the area as well as taking advantage of their online shipping.

I consider myself a used bookstore aficionado. I have one in every town or city I visit plus my favorites in my hometown of Philadelphia. During the COVID-19 crisis, my family and I have been hunkered down at my in-laws farm. I’m a voracious reader as is my 2.5 year old toddler. We read through all of the books she brought with her as well as those in her grandparents collection. Many, many times. We needed a refresh and Broad Street Books was happy to help.

The stores owner, Sue-Ni, was a delight and was quick to respond to my emails. She offered to set up an appointment due to them being closed to give me a chance to peruse, which I took her up on. It was very special having the chance to shop the store by myself during a time where stores need to be closed. I lost myself in the experience and didn’t realize 90 minutes had gone by!

The store itself is wonderful. I’m used to used book stores that are dusty and piled floor to ceiling with boxes and stacks of books under very loose organization. While I love those stores because it’s a treasure hunt, Broad Street is well curated. The sections are clear and well stocked. Their children’s section was excellent as was their classics and science sections. The quality of the used books is very high and worth the cost. Many of the books are library or gift quality. I made a few extra purchases I didn’t intend to as “gifts” to my family. I also made some mental notes of other books to purchase the next time I stop in.

It was an act of kindness to let me come in and shop some books for my daughter during this crisis and I won’t forget that.

When I think of Used Book Store, this is exactly the type of place that I have in mind. They have quite a nice selection of used books in store which are organized by topic. This was my first visit, so I wanted to get a feel for the store. I spotted many books that I wanted( didn't have the funds on this visit to purchase much). The owners are extremely friendly and will help you look for what you may want. They will even go out of there way to take your info and contact you if something comes in that your interested in. They seem to buy quite a lot of books so you will most definitely find new inventory upon repeat visits. I am pleasantly happy to have learned of this shop and plan on visiting much more.

Went here for the first time today with my boyfriend and we loved it! There was so much stuff to look at (even stuff other than books) and we had fun speaking with the owner and browsing the shelves. The owner was very helpful and knowledgable about her inventory, and though I did not find exactly what I was looking for (because they sold out all of their Outlander books), my boyfriend and I bought some really cute books for our niece. We will definitely be returning as often as we can! <3
