Mr Tokyo Japanese Restaurant

One of the best, if not the best Sushi /Hibachi place in the area. The food was great, service was great. The place was not too crowded. Nice music & atmosphere.

Pretty good for a franchise sushi spot! The prices are reasonable. The wait time is minimum. The cuts were nice and the flavors were well put together. Friendly server. The kids (big one included) ♥'d the fried ice cream. Seaweed salad was a hit

The service was impeccable. The teriyaki chicken and beef were delicious. The spring rolls and that crab rangoon were especially good. Each of the Chef's Special Rolls was delicious as well. That sweet tea was like my aunt's tea. An all around good lunch meal. You can't go wrong.

I had the shrimp hibachi and it was delicious! I also tried the White Tiger Roll and then Crazy Roll which was also amazing! Our server was totally on top of it. He had our drinks refilled within seconds of us finishing them, zero wait on drink refills. I mention that because it irritates me when I finish my beverage, and I still have food on my plate, and no one gives me a refill. Good job!

Bring an empty stomach. All you can eat at it's finest. Just make sure you finish all the rolls or you will be charged. Would recommend.

Edit, it would be nice to have different rolls available during the year. Seems the special is always the same. Not a bad thing, just would be nice for more variety.

Ordered take out, the staff was very friendly and warm when I went in to pick up. The place looked clean, and the pick up was fast and easy. Ginger was the best, the sushi was fresh and good. The pasta dish with steak and veggies was delicious.

This place is amazing! The food is great, having a insane amount of variety; and the place has amazing waiters, notably Amanda who was very kind and enthusiastic- she made my experience much better. I've been to many sushi places but this one is much better then the rest.

Mr Tokyo is the most consistent man in my life. He's never disappointed me and always serves up all you can eat Japanese cuisine. They have the best value sushi in town. I've gone with friends who order 60+ pieces and they serve it up without batting an eye. All for less than $30? Yes please.

Stopped here tonight for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have an all you can eat menu. Being that I'm on this extreme diet I had to limit my choices to mostly sashimi. Let me tell you,the food here is AMAZING. Not just the taste and quality but even the presentation was absolutely beautiful. The two sushi appetizers were INCREDIBLE! The sashimi tasted fresh and delicious, the edamame was boiled and salted to perfection. All this food for just $28, and fast friendly service to boot! Count on seeing me show up again!

We went for lunch on Sunday and had a GREAT experience. Cathy was our server and she was so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Seaweed salad was fresh and every roll was superb. We had the buffet and gladly paid an upcharge to try the pink lady roll. Our other favorites are Angel Hair, TNT roll and Snow White. I'm going to have to say, the Monroe location is the best. We will be back!!!!!

14.99 all you can eat on weekdays! You cant beat that. The food is absolutely delish. We had sushi and hibachi .. so worth the price

We used to live in Lombard, IL and there was an all you could eat sushi place there.

When we moved, missing that place was traumatic.

I heard from a friend that Mr Tokyo had unlimited sushi so my wife and I have them a try and it was ridiculous!

This place is awesome! They have some unique rolls that they have created and some classics for all the fans.

Service was great and the rolls were on point so we highly recommend exploring this delicious all you can eat experience or coming by to try their other menu options!

This place has incredible food and service, for very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Atmosphere at this location could be updated, but is otherwise clean and pleasant.

Excellent food and service. We've been waiting for this place to open back up for dine in, and we were thrilled to return. I had fried rice, vegetarian tempura, spring rolls, gyoza, and the California rolls. Everything was perfect. The waitress was excellent, quick with refills and with our orders. I cannot wait to come back again!

I've eaten at multiple locations, but this was my first time visiting Mr Tokyo in Monroe. Overall, I've never had an issue with the service at any location, but today's service was especially friendly. The bathrooms and decor may not be as nice as Pineville or Prosperity Village, but this was the first time since covid that I didn't have to wait for a table. If I ranked the dozens of times that I've eaten at a Mr Tokyo restaurant, today's rolls were the best. The rice-to-fish ratio was exactly what I'd expect from a fancier à la carte restaurant. Next time I'm thinking of visiting Mr Tokyo, I'll consider driving past the two closer locations just to dine in Monroe.

Great food. Come once a week and have never had a bad server. Always smiling and very attentive.

I've been to several locations and I'm glad we finally have one in Monroe! Great quality and great service! I am definitely coming again.

Very very good food and atmosphere

This place is awesome their sushi is very fresh and delicious, the prices were unbelievable, so on Mondays they have a 23.00 special all you can eat sushi and hibachi. I'll be back Monday.

This is the best location. The staff and management there is great. Service is always consistent and food is good (and you can't beat the price). We'll keep coming back!
