Los Gemelos has both an excellent restaurant AND a full service Mexican grocery with butcher counter.

I have had tacos from the Los Gemelos restaurant (attached to the Tienda Los Gemelos) many times over a number of years, both dine in and take out on numerous occasions. I have always been completely satisfied with them not only while eating them but for many hours after (on all occasions!), which is something remarkable and unusual in the realm of restaurants and even tacos. Whether dine in or take out, the quality is very consistent. The corn tortillas are large and slightly dry but in a very good way. Taco meals have never felt too heavy from them. The staff are always really courteous, too. Their other restaurant food is very good, too--perhaps I might give more insight into that in the future--and they have very good horchata, to boot. The atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant and the shop have always been positive. Great job!

Fantastic experience, friendly staff and the best authentic Latam food. I recommend the gauc with fresh chips to get your meal started.

Be sure to grab a choice beverage from the coolers at the entrance. It's ok to break a six pack.

Listen... Their food is bomb, ALL of it and I grew up eating my familia's authentic Mexican food. The menudo is perfect!!! The tamales are HUGE we worth $18 a dozen with so much meat, sauce and good flavor!!! I can go on, like I said, everything is bomb here!

Most authentic and delicious tacos in Wisconsin, period! I literally come here every weekend. Great prices and so much flavor. The chicken and pastor tacos are my favorite. Make sure you bring cash to tip because you can’t tip with a card.

Very good food, fast service. Great fajitas and burritos. On weekends they add lengua and carnitas to the meat choices. The food is flavorful but not spicy, however they do have salsas and hot sauces available.

This place is absolutely a hidden gem. You have yo walk through a Mexican grocery store to get to the restaurant section. I am always a fan of the food here. Their food is very authentic and flavorful. They are doing well with the current capacity guidelines due to Covid-19. All in all, an excellent experience.

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the area in terms of taste, presentation, portions, and price. We had chicken sopes and a carne asada chimichanga with a piña colada. Both were delicious along with being generously portioned. Their carne asada is nicely seasoned and combined with cheese inside of a crunchy, deep fried tortilla. It is served with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, and limes. The sopes are pulled chicken on a deep fried crust topped with lettuce and tomato I did not take a bite of the sopes, so I cannot describe the flavor, but my fiance enjoyed them tremendously. The piña coladas were truly amazing. The combinations of tropical flavors and the subtle, but still present taste of the liquor made them a pleasure to drink. I would recommend Los Gemelos to everyone.

Service is spotty for los gringos but always worth the wait. I’ve eaten here over 20 times over the years and never had a bad meal, never!

They have some of the best service I’ve ever received! Everyone is always so welcoming and the girls always seem to go out of their way! Ontop of the food being some of the best and most authentic I have ever had! I don’t think there’s anything else I could say that would describe my experiences here being nothing but good and inviting!

Best tacos in Madison! So glad they are opened back up. They remodeled too so it looks really nice inside. Prices went up a bit but still a good value.

Honestly, this place has the most authentic Mexican food in Madison! So much flavor and reasonable prices! Everything is made so simply and with so much flavor that they don't need to add other stuff to it! Some taco places added cold slaw and pineapple salsa but not here! The best tacos made with amazing flavored meat, Onions and cilantro! I highly recommend the Tostadas as well! We also got the Birria tacos which were good as well! If you are looking for a great taco spot, look no further!

Having worked in the area for a number of years, I have gotten to know this place very well. Their al pastor tacos are the best I have had in the area, and honestly the best I have had compared to a lot of other places. Truly, these are better than tacos I've had in NYC and Texas, which were supposedly the best of the best. When I eat tacos anywhere, Tienda Los Gemelos is what I compare them to. I love it there and you may or may not (but definitely will) too.

Always a great experience here. Food comes out fast and tastes well. If I could make one suggestion it would be that if you're ordering something that's deep fried, I'd recommend sitting down there to eat, as opposed to take-out. By the time you get home, the grease soaks into the fried food and gets kind of chewy.

Review for the grocery store, a small but decent selection of staples and specialty items. They also have a fairly well stocked butcher case and beer fridge. There have been a couple times I've needed help finding items and they have always been willing to take the time to help me look for the item. Have not have the food in a while so I won't comment on that.

Just eat here. Anywhere else is a bad choice.
