Cafe Maxx

The food was excellent! The slaw that accompanies the jumbo shrimp is sublime! Goat cheese and mixed berry salad is bright and fresh. $70 Peppercorn crusted filet was cooked perfectly. Dessert was decadent. Upon arrival, the host didn’t appear for 10 minutes and appeared to be on his phone a lot. Aside from that, it was a pleasant dining experience.

I and my party have not been here in a long time and we have always enjoyed the experience before. However this meal was very disappointing. We started with a Caesar salad for the table and fried Calamari. Both were ample portions and delicious. From there things were less satisfying. My tri-tail fish dish was bland and tasteless. The other entrees were just okay and not worth the price. For dessert the Bourbon chocolate pecan pie was ordinary and also overpriced. The dining room is very tight and not very comfortable as it was over seated. Also one member of my party was distressed to see their lamb chop entree sitting under the warming lights waiting to be served for over 15 minutes.

I attended Cafe Maxx with family for a birthday dinner and I was thoroughly impressed throughout the meal. Cafe Maxx is an innovative restaurant with a lively atmosphere and knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their menu changes daily; however, they have many staple items that will be consistently listed on the menu.

We started with appetizers. The crispy fried eggplant milanese was well-seasoned and paired well with two contrasting sauces. I was expecting it to be crispier but I was very impressed with the taste. The jumbo lump crab cakes were flavorful, well cooked, and seasoned and accompanied with vegetables and lime. The tuna sashimi pizza is a staple at this restaurant and while I do not typically enjoy raw fish-centric dishes, it was perfectly paired with cream cheese, caviar, and green onion and was divine. I highly recommend each of these appetizers.

For the entree course, I had the stuffed pasta shells bolognese, which was an elevation of a classic Italian meal. It was rich without being overly heavy, and the dark and sweet tomato sauce paired well with the savory and flavorful sausage. My parents had the seared jumbo scallops with lemon citrus butter. The scallops were cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the risotto and asparagus on which it was served. My grandmother had the banana chip, almond, and macademia crusted triple tail, which had a creative fruity and nutty flavor combination that worked well with the fish and I thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, my sister had the duck and smoked mozzarella ravioli, which was rich and flavorful, and the sauce and vegetables perfectly paired with the ravioli. It was my favorite meal of the night.

For dessert, we had the deep dish bourbon and chocolate pecan pie, which was very strong but flavorful and delicious nonetheless. We also had the Fallen Chocolate Cake, which was a rich, decadent, dark chocolate lava cake that made the perfect end to the meal. Both desserts were served with homemade vanilla ice cream, which complemented each dessert perfectly.

Overall, I was extremely satisfied with our meal at Cafe Maxx, and hope to be back soon.

Note: This restaurant has an attire requirement. No flip-flops, tank tops, or athletic attire.

Our meal was wonderful. Wait staff very attentive and helpful. Everyone very pleased with their orders.

Only one vegetarian entree that might disappoint vegetarians looking for something more indulgent but was perfect for me. Very light on oil and healthy. The brussel sprout appetizer was a bit decadent, but shockingly tasty. They were happy to accommodate a vegan.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. It is one of my most favorite restaurants and I have been dining here for over 25 years.

This is my favorite place to eat! Do you want a steak that melts in your mouth? That's the place! Great atmosphere with a bartender Ron. 👌

9/12/23- we had a reserv for 6:30pm. Hostess spot on offered for us to sit in table or booth. We choose a booth. Menu placed w/ wine list.
We went for the the Dine Out $55.00.
The choices were many.
I went with my first course as a shrimp Asian salad. 2 huge shrimps nice crunch to it the salad it was a party in my mouth.
G had the Caesar salad, with prosciutto. Nice touch.
We both then had the peppercorn Filet. Like butter . Menu said bread on request, we requested , glad we did , All different types so good.
The dessert, we both went w/ the brownie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a chocolate sauce.
Carla the serve was Spot on. Very professional, not intrusive at all. She was very helpful with the menu ordering because I wanted to order two beef dishes and she said I thought you liked the shrimp and I’m so glad she said something because I totally forgot. Carla thank you for making our evening so nice.

Really, really delicious food. The chef is an artist and that comes with a hefty price tag but worth it.

Not sure how often we will eat here just because of pricing but definitely will go back from time to time just not on the regular.

If you got some extra cash and want an outstanding meal then I highly recommend Cafe Maxz

Went here for the first time tonight. The menu is amazing-so many choices we wanted to try, but settled on the filet and triple tail - very good. Great service!! We’ll most definitely be back.

A great Sunday morning with my wife and two beautiful daughters. Deb was our server. She was friendly, accommodating and provided great service. We all had the classic benedict. The holindaise sauce was amazing. Grilled thick ham with a roasted tomato with possibly a balsamic reduction and perfect poached eggs. My ladies seemed to enjoy the bottomless mimosa and bloody Mary's. I highly recommend Cafe Max and Deb. 5- stars !!!

Wow what a surprise of a 0lace. Service is great. When the waiter comes 9ver knows the food really well and takes the entire order with out a pen that's impressive. We had tuna pizza, fish taco my favorite ones, and other fish orders. ALL were great. Will come back a lot. Only issue is the ombiance is old school and dark. But the food is amazing.

Everything we had was delicious! The atmosphere is relaxing and staff accommodating. We had a brussel sprouts appetizer that was FANTASTIC! I loved the sweet chile sauce. We also had a sushi pizza as an appetizer. I don't typically care for sushi, but it was really tasty. For the main course, my cousin had ravioli and I had the scallops. She loved the ravioli and says she gets it every single time she dines there. The scallops and risotto was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning here again soon!

We had heard about Cafe Maxx for a long time but had never mustered up the courage to go. We are certainly very glad that we finally made it over.

It doesn’t have tremendous curb appeal, but once you’re in, you’re hooked. Nice ambiance, good service and the food is the closer. We had the sweet onion crusted snapper and the 3 peppercorn crusted filet mignon as main dishes. Both were spectacular.

The beef tenderloin tartare was a strong appetizer. The yellowfin tuna and salmon sashimi was good, but would probably opt for something else next time.

But those main dishes. Still salivating over those even though I’m very full!

We just had a wonderful dinner here. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the Old Fashoined was perfect! Thank you Cafe Max for a memorable evening!

Cafe maxx is a hidden gem with an intimate atmosphere. I dined there on Saturday with a couple of friends and we truly enjoyed every part of our experience. We started the evening off with three appetizers Tuna pizza which is a staple on their menu. Crunchy, fresh and flavorful. The Beef Carpaccio was exactly how I prefer mine to be- simple ingredients with fresh shaved parmigiano reggiano, olive oil and arugula. The Salmon Carpaccio had an Asian flare which I enjoyed. Each appetizer was divine. The bread basket was outstanding and filled generously with an array of fresh bread, focaccia, and crispy thin bread which we loved. We each got an entrée. I had the Hazelnut and pecan crusted Seabass which was mouth watering. Cooked to perfect.The acorn squash was a nice touch and a pleasant surprise. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. The short rib melted in my mouth, it was very tender and well prepared. The portions were very generous and priced accordingly.We each sampled each others and it was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t decide which we all liked better.

Being a chef and restaurant owner of Italian restaurant for 43 years, it was better than my expectation. It was out of this world. The menu has many great options with a lot of exciting flavors. Our server Adriana was great and very helpful with the menu. She recommended each dish and she was spot on. We truly had a wonderful experience. If you are in the Broward county area I highly recommended trying out Cafe Maxx, you will not be disappointed.

Came here for my bday.
Excellent staff, ambiance and food. Dont have to write much, it’s just that simple. Oh yes and you can customize your meal. Got bacon it my Alfredo.

Experience makes the masters. Unique flavor rich takes on land and sea protein. Texture combinations are perfect. I had the best Risotto ever not one but 2 desserts. Will be back to enjoy the steak my partner barely allowed me to taste.

Amazing restaurants. My husband and I went for brunch and we were delighted. I was able to find vegan options and everything was absolutely delicious. Totally worth it.

Pull up to the Valet. Hostess greets you with a smile and this hospitality continues throughout the entire evening by everyone on staff. The main Entrance opens up into the bar area with seating to your left and another dining room further back. At first glance, the restaurant may not appear big....but there is plenty of seating....and the seating is in high demand because of the culinary masterpieces that come out of the kitchen.

Cafe Maxx is amazing. If you want the glitz and glamour decor......Miami-style....it is not that.....just not their style. It is however very refined and lately I have noticed a little more edge. Younger staff.....incredible service.....expanded bar and just clean cut.
Now.... the glitz and glamour comes in the form of every appetizer, entree and desert that is served.

As for the dishes....culinary perfection! Presentation....taste....just flawless. Last night, I went back to one of my favorites.....the Caviar Pie is a must!!!! Beef tartare.....just order anything because I have tried everything on the menu over the years.....and every dish will leave you asking for more.

Thank you again Cafe Maxx for a wonderful evening. Oh....and thank you so much for adding Red Bull as a mixer....Redbull Vodka....Caviar.... culinary genius.....and an amazing staff all-around. Cafe Maxx is moving in all the right directions....and we will be back for more.
