The northern end of the Cape Henlopen State Park is one of the most beautiful places in the country. Looking toward the east, you look out over the Atlantic ocean, and looking toward the west, you look over the Delaware Bay.

Loved it here! Very laid back. Pretty much had the beach to myself. The beach was clean. You can get a pass for all day and you can drive into Rehoboth to get food, souvenirs, etc. just show them your beach pass when you drive back.

Gorgeous state park with amenities and natural beauty. Wide sandy beaches, bathhouse with wheelchair access, bike trails and long pier for (licensed) fishing. $10 for out of state access was well worth it.

Nice easy walk!

Go to Delaware State Parks webpage and book a guided tour with a ranger. Very interesting

Out of state pays $10 for parking but it’s 100% worth it. No trash, nice views, very calm, not crowded. Little tip: if you go to the other side of the shore where there is an old lighthouse you can watch the sunset!

Nice beach with no trash along the shore. Nice views of the bay and you can watch ships go in and out of the bay. I came here to enjoy the nice day and I enjoyed it immensely.

If you like walking on the beach, you may well enjoy the 2.5 mile loop beach walk around the cape tip, starting from the Point parking lot.

Really like this beach! They even have a 4x4 area where you can bring your off road vehicle to park & fish. The beach is kept clean and the water is not bad!

If you want to be immersed in nature, this is your place. The beach experience is incredible, no artificial lights, no hustle and bustle of urban chaos. You just sit there and watch the waves breaking in the shore.
You have to bring food if you want to spend a long time, as it is inside a state park. Also, the bathroom basins didn't have any water, the toilet seemed unclean as well. The day was pretty busy though

I biked here early in the morning to relax and take in the views. It was very quiet and offered pretty scenery.

We've coming to Cape Henlopen State Beach for 20 years and in my humble opinion, it's one of the best ocean beaches on the East Coast. Can get crowded at times but it's clean and has all the facilities that a family could want - food, bathrooms, showers, etc.

One of the best natural shorelines on the east coast. Formerly Ft. Miles (huge WWII artillery post protecting the entrance to the Delaware Bay), it has something for everyone - museum, nature center and trails, and several drive-on beaches (with permit), restroom facilities, camp grounds, and pavilions. If you are in the area you don't want to miss it!

Calm and peaceful place compared to the crowded beach towns. Great place to walk your dog as well!

This is a hidden gem. Out of state visitors can pay 10 dollars per car to park and walk to the beach, 150 yards from parking lot to beach. In state is cheaper and if you pay for a season pass you can drive onto beach but must be fishing. There are tire inflation stations for those that drive onto the beach. The parking lot has a restroom and foot rinse showers. The beach was clean and wide.

One of the best beaches in DE. Be sure to stop at the nature center and Fort Miles. Something for everyone in the family here.

This beach point is closest to the lighthouse, but still very far.

Such a beautiful place. Takes about an hour to walk around the Point. The only thing to worry about is getting sand in your shoes, which is inevitable, so just enjoy!
