The Old School Saloon

The Old School Saloon was one of the best stops we had on the weekend.

At the Council Hill Station, I asked a local where the best food in the area was, and he quickly touted The Old School Saloon. Since it wasn’t too far from where we were so we took the drive. It was worth it.

The Old School Saloon is known for their burgers, but also has a full menu.

The men in our group sprang for burgers, and every one of them left satisfied and questioning how the burgers were made. Trying to find out seasoning what the meat was and how they were cooked.

The interior is clean and unique. Original features with upgrades.

This establishment is handicapped accessible.

This stop was definitely one of our favorites! My husband and I have been on the road working in different states nonstop since March and won't be home until the first week in June. I randomly stumbled upon this place while working in the Apple Canyon/Galena Territory area and suggested we go there for dinner after reading a few reviews. Being from West TN, we are just "down home country folk". From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like family and it reminded us of home. Everyone knew everyone. Our service was great, staff was so friendly, and our food (cheese curds, taco pizza, fish&shrimp combo) was delicious. We didn't get drinks but I'm sure they would've been great too! Love the atmosphere and pride in the USA of this place. We will be eating here again before we leave the area and making this a stop on our yearly work trips here for years to come.

I had never tried this place until last weekend and boy, was I missing out! The Friday night cod n shrimp was awesome! I've also been told the boneless wings, chips and pizza are outside! I'll have to go back someday soon and check it out!

P.S. The beer is the perfect temperature!

We stopped by on a whim during a Sunday bike ride. The bar was open but there were no after-church patrons, so the owner and a few others were outside on the patio having mimosas. They warmly welcomed us to stay and have a few with them, which we did. We ended up having the best time with the nicest group of people. Soo friendly and inviting! The bar is an old school house which they have lovingly restored to be absolutely beautiful and rightfully take pride in. Thank you for great conversation, laughs, and the best Sunday stop we've had in a while!
Next time I pop in, I'll be sure to try that fabulous pizza that has the Chicago folks all talking.

My wife ordered a fish Cod dinner on Friday. Which was very, very good . I ordered the catfish. I didn't like it as much as I liked her Cod. The waitress was wonderful, not very busy. We were there at, like, 4 thirty, but it started packing at about 5:15.

Great food! We had catfish, fried shrimp and boneless wings dinners. All dinners were prepared to perfection! Fantastic atmosphere and prices. Fried pickle appetizer was delicious. We'll be back when visiting friends in the area.

As my two-year-old niece said when we walked in, “Oh, Auntie Hil, isn’t it beautiful?” Great burgers, great service, great environment. What a delightful surprise in this sweet small town.

Great for groups of 6 or less. We had 11 in our group. They accommodated us as best they could. Service was great and so was the food. Get there early.

Cute, cute, cute! And a fabulous burger- quality meat. Also, our server was consider, attentive, and sweet. Highly recommend.

Very good experience at the Old School Saloon. Very nice bar and grill, clean with rustic decor. Spacious with high top and low top tables. Very friendly bartender/server. Standard bar menu with burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Food is very good and reasonable prices. Will go back.

Very excited that the OSS is open for business again! The pizza here is excellent. It's a nice place, good WiFi, and the staff and owners are friendly. The wings are new (I think) and we thought they were top notch as well. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop.

Love the Friday fish special and the shrimp. Plus we ran into 3 tables of friends of ours, one of which was a surprise, co-worker from the Chicago area from years ago!

Rode here to start the Elizabeth trail. Food was amazing (grilled chicken sandwich, steak fries and beer). I plan on coming here often. Great staff and service. EDIT it has never been open every time i visited after this,,
