Roma Sausage & Deli

Their tomato pie is out of this world. I grew up in this area but now live in SC. I always enjoy a visit home that will always consist of a stop here. I wish they shipped, I'd order from SC and have it much more often.

I have been living in Utica for over five years and found out last week Roma's sells Boars Head products. So I had to go and check it out. I walked into Roma's and was pleased right away with the wonderful Italian deli smell. They have a lot of products. The homemade Italian sausage looked too good to pass up. Antipasto salad, Cheese curd, a plethora of deli meats, Huge sausage rolls, Subs, and much more I didn't get to. Roma's is the kind of Italian Deli that you want to make your go to authentic Italian fare. Believe me, your missing out if you don't shop at Roma's. Plus the staff are awesome!

I am a sauce snob. And a meatball snob, and a pasta snob....well, being from syracuse I am accustomed to our shops but Roma is the next best, sauce is great, tomato pie is great, it's an all around good place to get your fix.

Just came back to the Catskills from a day in Utica, stopped here for Tomato pie, brought back a half sheet. Wow, I know I don't have anything to campare to..as locals do, but we absolutely loved this one. The dough wasn't to thick, cooked nicely through, and a crispy bottom. The sauce and cheese really came through, not sweet (hate sweet sauce) and the cheese was excellent. Love this one. Also bought some red pepper taralli, and a couple of pounds of provolone cheese sausage (I think they call this Sicilian sausage, my heritage also). I haven't had a good cheese sausage since Joe's pork store closed in Astoria NY where I grew up. It was the ideal..hopefully this one will be too. Looking forward!

Best tomato pie around ! Loved their Christmas Eve system this year - instead of waiting on a crazy line forever, they asked us for a pick up time. Be sure to order ahead of time. I walked in right up to the counter and they even had extra pies we could buy for some extra guests coming.

The tomato pie is the best. I called to have two full pies put aside for me. They wouldn't take any more orders. I was going to drive to Utica from Schenectady to get them. They have fans all over NYS.

The absolute best in Utica, hands down. You can say you’ve had tomato pie but unless it’s Roma’s you’re wrong. In addition, I always leave Utica with meat balls, sauce and Parmesan, as MA has NOTHING of the sort!

Delicious as always. I grew up eating Roma’s tomato pie and missed so much. Finally was able to come back to visit Utica and had to pick me up their tomato pie (10$) and it was as good as I remembered. The sauce, crust and cheese combination is alway a hit. It just so simple but so damn delicious, how? Besides tomato pie, Roma also sells other goodies but unfortunately I wasn’t able to buy any because of my short time in Utica. Roma’s tomato pie is a staple and huge part of Utica. I hope they continue to thrive and do well.

Awesome Deli! Top notch sausage. The meatballs are great. Wide variety of foods. The sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness. Last but definitely not least is the Tomato Pie, a must have!

This place is kinda dirty and the man behind the counter is impatient but damn, if you need all of your italian favorites this place is where it's at. The tomato pie is TO DIE FOR. Awesome.
