Pizza Hyena

I have reviewed this place several times and I will continue to review it every time I go. It is the best place to go on Ocean boulevard for pizza. I recently have become gluten intolerant and I had the gyro pizza with a cauliflower made crust. It was absolutely delicious.. the other picture shows cheesy bread that my friend I went with had.

Pizza Hyena is amazing. It’s conveniently located in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. The atmosphere is awesome. The staff is great. And the food is amazing. They have a very large selection of toppings for pizzas. They are always coming up with something different. We can’t wait to return to this restaurant. We highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you.

We’ve been here for dinner a few times now and everything is always consistent and delicious! Service is fast and everyone is friendly. The Hot Chick pizza is my favorite, but everything my family has had is great. The wings taste like they came right off the grill! It’s definitely a kid friendly place as well. We will definitely go back year round!

This place exceeded our expectations.
After going to the owners other two restaurants, he suggested we check out the 3rd. And we were not disappointed!
The server was so great! The food was amazing, and the place was super cute. There were so many large groups there (8-10 people), but that didn't slow the service down at all.

I got a gluten free, vegan pizza and it was so good!

The 6 of us happened upon this restaurant while on vacation and the food was WONDERFUL!!!

Their Bruschetta is one of the best that I’ve eaten, and the rest of our food was FANTASTIC as well!!! The pizza and salad were phenomenal!!!

Spencer was our server and he was just as sassy as our table. We all ordered a different pizza and it was so hot when it arrived we had to wait a few to eat it. A lot of great local brews and a great vibe overall. Would recommend to locals and tourists.

Pizza Hyena was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, the food was just scrumptious, and the service was excellent! We were sat as soon as we arrived, and our orders taken just a couple minutes later. The wait for the food was short, and the server checked in to see if we needed anything regularly. We got the garlic cheesy bread to start, which absolutely amazing, and then we ordered the peppy long-stocking (a pepperoni pizza), and the when you can’t decide ( a pizza with mushrooms, sausage, onions, and cheese.) Both pizzas were mind-blowingly good. If you are in the mood for pizza, definitely head in Pizza Hyena’s direction!

Just came into town for vacation and we found this awesome pizza place! We absolutely loved it! Excellent service from start to finish. Grabbed 3 different pizzas and they were all delicious! We will definitely stop by on our next visit to town (Maybe again before we leave!)

Waiter was absolutely amazing especially since we had a huge crowd. The food is as spectacular as always- I can say for sure that this is THE BEST pizza place in Surfside and near Garden City- I will definitely be back

We ordered an appetizer of Bruschetta and a pizza. Both were very good and came out quickly. The server was also very attentive and checked on us frequently. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Great pizza! Didn’t wait long for food and waitress was terrific! In a bar setting but I didn’t see anyone overindulging. Lots of families there.

6/23 Pizza Hyena of Surfside Beach. Excellent local pizza and location right off Surfside Beach, short walk thru dunes to the beach. Enjoyed ice cold Coors and ordered a “clucked it” pizza, to go. BBQ chicken, red onions with cilantro. The pizza is wood fire grilled. Lots of seating at outside bar and eating area. Side of the building has games for all. Inside was sparsely occupied at 2:30 pm but outside was busy with tables and bar. AJ the bartender was helpful, courteous, setup drinks and got the pizza to us when ready with stuff we needed with it. Saw the wings, looked and told the best in town, will try them next time. Really good vibe.

Fantastic pizza, incredible Pickle Pizza- Yes, pickle pizza. The smoked wings are delicious, and the food is reasonably priced. Any time I’m in the area, I stop here. Best pizza and wings in the Myrtle Beach area.

Went to Pizza Hyena tonight and was blown away by the food and service. We ordered the Wild Fired Wings, Peppy Longstocking, Clucked Up and Prosciutto Your Eye Out Kid. The wings were amazing and all three pizzas were out quickly, were hot and fresh. As anyone knows, the service can make or break a dining experience and our server "Shane" was beyond phenomenal. He provided the perfect balance of attentiveness and seemed to know every items on the menu like the back of his hand. We are from out of town so we don't know when we will be back, but anyone would be pleased with the food and atmosphere. If you get Shane as your server, I'd consider that icing on the cake.

We ate here on our last night for vacation. Service was fast, everyone was friendly and the food was great!! I ordered the Garlic “Cheezy” Bread and your Bacon My Balls pizza. Both were phenomenal. They did mess up one of our parties pizza’s they ordered no onion but it had it on it but they apologized and made a fresh one free of charge. It came out very quick too so they didn’t have to wait long. Definitely will be going back if we ever vacation here again.

I must say, the pizza was delicious. We ordered five individual pizzas and one cheese bread appetizer and we cleared it all. The waitress was great as well. The live musician was a nice addition to the setting. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We enjoyed the “Proscuitto Your Eye Out” pizza (with Garlic Sauce instead of red sauce, yum!!) and LOVED the pimento cheese with bacon and fresh jalepeños!! The pimento cheese appetizer really can’t be beat, especially for the price - this was our favorite! Will definitely visit again!

I absolutely adore this place! It's our second time here, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The food is simply outstanding, especially the hummus - the best I've ever tasted. The wings were phenomenal, and the pizza never fails to impress. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to come back soon!

Had an amazing time eating at pizza hyena yesterday night with my mom and my 8 month old baby while visiting Surfside beach. They were very busy and warned us the food would take some time, which we appreciated. Drinks were great, food was very good as well but what really stood out to us was the amazing service. Rachel was an amazing server and Rashawna was so kind to my baby son and really made the experience. You two are rockstars and made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. The cook was also out making sure everyone was satisfied and happy. We had yummy pizzas and fresh hummus. Can’t wait to come back on vacation.
