People there are actually very nice, the bad reviews are misleading. I get my prescriptions here all the time. Staff are lovely.

Very convenient drive through option to pick up prescriptions during the COVID-19 age. Pharmacist and pharmacy technicians were thorough and patient, as well as very knowledgeable fielding any questions. They only have one lane open which dramatically slows the progress of the drive through, but overall we probably still only spent 15 minutes or so in line.

I called this location at 4:30pm today and politely asked how long it’d take for my prescription refill since I just had a major surgery and am in a lot of pain. The pharmacist told me 5:30pm at the latest. Needless to say it’s 6:15pm and my husband and toddler are STILL there waiting for it to be filled. They’re lucky I’m not there. Now I understand why this location barely got 2.5 stars.

I’m very close to transferring all of my prescriptions somewhere else. My doctor sent in two prescriptions for me yesterday. On the app, it said one was being reviewed and the other they were getting ready. I checked again this morning, and it said the one was ready and the other was being reviewed. I called the pharmacy to find out what the hold-up was, and they told me that they’ve been having trouble getting this medication from their wholesaler and they don’t know when they will be able to get it in again. Since it’s a schedule 2 substance, they’re not allowed to get it from another Walgreens, and they don’t have any idea what other pharmacies might have it. It’s a common medication, and they confirmed that a lot of patients have been affected by this back order. You would think, in that case, that they would’ve contacted me or my provider to let us know or at least posted some kind of notice as to what’s going on since so many people are being inconvenienced by this.
Anyway, I then looked at the app again this afternoon, and suddenly the other medication (the one that was allegedly ready that morning) was listed as canceled. I drove to the store after work, and after the tech had a ridiculous amount of trouble finding my account, I was told that my provider had called to cancel the order yesterday. I told them that doesn’t make any sense because the order was just sent in yesterday, and I was notified this morning that it was ready. The tech just argued with me that it wasn’t even marked ready on their computers. She pulled the actual bottle out of the bin, so obviously they had gotten the medication ready and that wouldn’t have happened if my provider had canceled it yesterday!!!
I get the impression that no one knows what’s going on over there, and worse, that no one cares. It’s just my luck that this would happen to me on a Friday so that I won’t be able to contact anyone over the weekend.
I’m extremely frustrated, and I think I will be looking for a new pharmacy.

Pharmacist doesn't know current policies and doesn't wanna help anyone. When I called to ask about the new policy regarding free at home covid tests I got answered and then placed on hold for over 20 minutes. When I first arrived at the location we were greeted and the we asked if they knew about the at home covid test policy regarding free tests. He said he's familiar but that we would be charged and later reimbursed by our insurance before verifying any information about who we were our coverage or even the new policy that was issued a week ago. When we tried to explain the new policy we were dismissed. When I called to speak to a pharmacist about the policy I was placed on hold repeatedly. Poor customer service all around. I live outta town and came solely to get the covid tests for my family. The least you could do is talk to someone and possibly check current policies in place. Thankfully there's another Walgreens with more competent employees right off Davison St. Asked for the covid tests for free through insurance and he knew Exactly what we were talking about and was able to get us helped out real quick. It's sad how little it takes to be a pharmacist at the Grand Ave location. No knowledge of policies required I guess

Went to pick up a prescription and was told they closed at 1:30P. I had arrived at 1:32P and they refused to help me and was very rude about it. Got home and looked up the pharmacy hours. They close at 1:30P and open back up at 2:00P but they did not share that information with. I will never do business with this Walgreens ever again. They could have at least told me that open back up at 2:00P.

Stay away if you can. Never ending problems and excuses about everything. Understaffed. Out of meds. Etc.

Every time I go to pick up a prescription their systems are down or there’s a huge line. Just transferred my prescription elsewhere and won’t be returning
