St Stanislaus Cemetery

St Stan's is the least people friendly cemetery in the area I have unfortunately had to deal with them for the past 22 years and they seem to manage to get worse with time wish I could move my loved ones

Rating is derived by personal property continuing to be stolen or thrown out with regularity. I stopped bringing things because thieves keep taking them. Cemetery staff state they do not throw anything out! Sad that this day and age that would happen! Many years in a row finding ruts in the cemetery grounds. It does not seem they plow anymore! Why are people driving on the grass???

Mother was buried August 2023 did an awful job of filling in the grave. I have asked on (3) separate occasions to fix her grave since there are deep holes at her grave site and even found a popcorn garbage bag that the employee threw in. Its been 10 months and still not fixed since our family visited yesterday June 30., 2024. These people have no respect for the dead or visiting family members and friends. I plan on taking care of the problem myself in the near future. I would give a zero rating if I could.

This cemetery is in terrible shape as usual!! My sister is buried in the old St Stan’s Cemetery and the lawn has not been taken care of in over a month. We cut the grass in her area or it would be over a foot tall. It is shameful that this is a Catholic cemetery!

Went on Father's Day and the cemetery was in need of some serious cleaning. Grass clippings all over. A headstone was knocked over. My Dad passed away in 1966 and I've never seen the cemetery in such a state. Very disappointing. Hopefully things will change soon.

The maintenance provided by the cemetery has deteriorated significantly over the past several years. I visit a few times each week to water the flowers I've planted, and the grass today looked as if it hadn't been cut for at least a week, and the trimming between the graves had not been done for a month or more. The grass between my sister's and parents' tombstones was at least a foot high. Very disappointing.

Cemetary is in bad shape. Lots of high grass, I saw many stones knocked over and damaged, some even starting to grow over. Many of the flat stones are completely covered with dead grass or dirt and are getting buried.

Went to plant flowers at my parents grave a found no trimming had been done. Looks like maybe went down the aisle and mowed but that is it. Maintaining the cemaetary has changed over the last few years. I've seen people using their own weed whackers. I dont know if there are issues with staffing but very disappointed.

I went today to plant flowers by my Grandparents grave, and visit other family graves. Well what a surprise when I drove in. OMG what a complete mess. I could of cried. I remember what a beautiful cemetery that was. Now there's no grass just weeds. Gravestones are sinking so far into the ground you have to be careful not to trip and fall.no trimming done around the stones. WHAT HAPPENED!!!!! It,s truly a shame and embarrassment that a resting place for our lives one looks like the getto. I will tell you if I was a rich person my family would be out of there.how is it that all the other cemeteries around Erie Cty are taken such good care of but not this one. I will be calling the news so people won,t be to fast to give their families a resting.place in such a horrible place.Shame on St. Stans...

Visited my fathers' grave for Memorial Day and over a year after his death his tombstone has not been inscribed with the year he died.

The cemetery is in very poor condition there are stones that are knocked over and that've been laying on the ground for years... There is even a veteran stone that is laying on the road inside the cemetery.. so sad
